It was the first time in Bulgaria and after reading reviews on the internet I went, to be honest, without much hope for a good rest. But taking a risk, I did not regret it. Two weeks passed with a bang!
In general, I want to say right away that it all depends on what you expect and how you see your vacation. After all, it’s stupid to go to Bulgaria and wait for the level of Europe, even though they try!
The hotel is located on the 1st line, which is already an advantage, because. hotels of the 2nd line on the mountain and in the heat it is not the most pleasant to climb even if you are in good physical shape. The hotel itself is quite consistent with 4 *: clean, normal furniture. The room was cleaned every day, bed linen was changed 5 times. The staff is attentive and kind. All Bulgarians willingly speak Russian, although in some reviews I read that they do not like us very much and do not speak Russian willingly. Nonsense! If you are rude, then they will not talk to you.
My room was overlooking the "park", although in reality there is a park there, but there is a road between it and the hotel and during the day it is very noisy. I came to the room only late in the evening and it did not cause me any discomfort because it was very quiet at night; if only in the parking lot, she is there, some kind of..... will forget to turn off the alarm. But if you are relaxing with children, then I advise you to choose a room with a view of the sea / patio.
The room is spacious and comfortable, as in the picture in the catalog. No problems with plumbing : ))
The only minus of this hotel, in my opinion, is the FOOD!! ! and everything connected with it. Terrible, just!!!! . DO NOT TAKE DINNER, better spend a little more, but go to dinner in restaurants, which are full for every taste. On average, ~25-35 levs, i. e. ~13-18 euros per person. Breakfast is monotonous (although this is the case in all hotels), but most of all I was struck by pancakes, which I never tasted. for them it was necessary to stand in line for 40 minutes. And also cold sausages! It seems in the last days of my stay there they didn't even bother to fry them! Tables are not cleared! For dinner, frozen vegetables, salads, malates at least. In general, food-restaurant for 2-. I didn't go to dinner at all for the second week.
The beach is 100 meters from the hotel. Umbrella 7 leva (3.5 euros), sunbed 7levov. I took only an umbrella. The first line by the sea and the last before leaving the beach is free and you can lie with your umbrellas. The beach / sea is clean, although the beach could be cleaned better. In general, the sea / beach is 4+.
Near Morsko Oko hotel Iberostar (I recommend) where I took a 5-day course of procedures (massage, mud, etc. ) 150 euros. Very positive.
From the hotel along the sea promenade to the center, walk about 20 minutes. There is a train 2 leva to the center in one direction. In general, my routine was: in the morning-beach, lunch-procedures, after-beach and in the evening dinner in a restaurant and a promenade to the center; back to the hotel on foot along the bank. Lyapota! What else do you need for a pleasant and relaxing holiday!
I took only one excursion - Balchik / Kaliakra. Interesting and not long! At the end there was dinner (not like in a hotel : -)) with Bulgarian dance songs. I also went to Varna myself, it is 30 km from Zol. Peskov. Varna is a big village. I didn't even expect it! There is nothing special to watch. Don't waste your time! Although people went there for shopping. But I think that in Moscow the prices are the same and there is more choice! People went to Sofia, they say it is even "cooler" there. The influence of the "scoop" is felt in everything.
I traveled quite a lot. I rested in Italy, Spain... and of course, compared to these countries, there is nothing special to see in Bulgaria. They will find a skull and let's take tourists to it!
Money (I took euros) changed at the hotel. Course 1.9 (very good). At the airport I changed only 50 euros (rate 1.7). So I do not advise you to change at the airport, if only a little for the first time.
And for its level, Bulgaria is quite an expensive country!
In my opinion, Zol. Peski is still a resort for a relaxing holiday, middle-aged people or with children. I think that it will be boring for the party youth!
