Fabulous debut
I'll start from the very beginning. From the moment we decided to go to Bulgaria, we began to study the Internet, there were enough reviews, so I decided to make my own contribution. I want to say a few words about the choice of tour and tour operator. The tour was chosen by a bus excursion (14 days / 13 nights), a tour operator-accord tour, with an early booking (2 months in advance), it cost us 652 euros for two with a visa. There are practically no claims to the tour operator, except for the way back, but more on that later. The bus was really comfortable, with air conditioning and TV, the visa was opened without any problems, even though we were the first. The daily journey turned out to be not that easy, but tolerable + we were lucky: only half of the bus was filled, so one person could sleep in two seats. arrived and left on time, as indicated in the info sheet.
Now about the rest itself.
The hotel was chosen by Oasis 4 *, I have already left a review about it on this site, so I will move on to the description of the resort.
To be honest, when I read reviews about the resort before the trip, I could not really imagine this "city of hotels". In fact, this is how it turned out! imagine a city where there is not a single (! ) residential building (in any case, we didn’t come across any), only hotels, restaurants, cafes, etc. This surprised and pleased us very much: there are a lot of places to choose an evening rest. The resort is very long, divided into 2 parts by the Central Alley with such a high gray tower (in my opinion, this is the Kuban hotel, but I won’t say).
A few words about excursions.
we hardly went to them, the only organized excursion was a trip to Varna for us. So that's about her. YOU DO NOT NEED TO GO THERE WITH YOUR GROUP AND THE TOUR GUIDE ACCOMPANYING IT! ! ! wasted money (18 euros only for travel per person, this is not counting additional excursions).
My advice is if you walk from the hotel towards Nessebar, there is a bus station (such a gray building), buy bus tickets there to Varna (3-4 euros) in the early morning and go on a trip yourself. You won't lose anything. The same story with Burgas. If you are interested in shopping in Varna, there are several shopping centers and on the alley opposite the Cathedral, and not only there, the addresses can be found on the Internet. By the way, about the cathedral. We saw very beautiful icons made of wood and ceramics there, but did not dare to buy, they were afraid that maybe they would ask something at the customs (well, like amateurs)), and in vain. Customs is generally purple for your things, so you can safely buy whatever you like)). Now about another city that conquered us forever. Nessebar...I don't remember exactly what age it was, but the town is amazing! We have been there 3 times in our entire stay. We got on the bus in front of the hotel (travel is 2 leva round trip per person) and drove for about 10 minutes.
A chic town, I won’t even describe it, it’s better to see it once. swam at the local beach-indescribable sensations. straight wild nature, there are algae (! ) and stones, which is not on the SB beach. In general, we fell in love with him immediately and forever. Now about the personal. There is one active church in the town (I mean Old Nessebar), if you have any requests to God, I recommend contacting Him here. The city is VERY old, the energy is the strongest! I'll tell you with an example: my husband became very ill during his vacation - a cold, a strong cough. Maybe this is self-hypnosis, but after a visit to this church, everything seemed to disappear. Moreover, my husband did not know that I was there, so I could not inspire myself with anything. By the way, about pharmacies. Local pharmacies only sell over-the-counter drugs such as Coldrex, etc.
from a cold, an omez from the stomach and all other rubbish (shampoos, balms, toothpastes and even skittles), so take a first-aid kit with you to the maximum, you never know what. You can't buy antibiotics anywhere without a doctor's prescription! ! ! In the polyclinic, a doctor can take your temperature and pressure for 30 euros (! ). And that's it. The rest for extra. fee.
Now about the evening rest.
visited several cafes - Malina, My fish, Corner, several beach bars, I can’t remember the names, but it doesn’t matter: all the places there are very decent and VERY inexpensive. For prices and quality can not be compared with the Crimea. There is a very interesting feature in Bulgaria called Happy hour. When ordering 1 cocktail, you get 2, and in some you get 3. Basically, of course, they are somewhat diluted with water, but there was one bar where they gave 3 for 10 leva for 1, and so the bartender made very high-quality cocktails there. Unfortunately, they didn’t remember the name of the bar: (But this is so, by the way.
Be very careful about this issue.
I'll tell you from my own experience. Pink cosmetics, alcohol, ceramics and metal crafts, lace tablecloths, etc. are brought from Bulgaria. All this is described on the Internet. We bought cosmetics, towels, spices and food. Now for each item separately.
Cosmetics. Most of all I liked Refan and Herbs of Bulgaria. Refan is best bought in company stores or in a store whose photo I will attach to the review (it is located near the Oasis, if you go up without turning anywhere). the same applies to Herbs of Bulgaria, only in this shop. By the way, there are good towels next to it and in it.
Now spices and alcohol. There is an excellent store on the SB, about which a lot has been written on the Internet. Call him Young. If you find it (I will attach a link with a map to the review), you will understand everything yourself and do not buy any of the products anywhere else. A few more words about spices. I bought cinnamon in Nessebar. 2 leva 20 sticks. Recommend.
There is no such odorous cinnamon in Ukraine. Saffron - 5 leva, sets of spices for 3 leva. Everything is very, very good! Buy and don't hesitate. In Mladost, among other things, I highly recommend purchasing REAL olive oil at 3 leva per 0.5 liter. the same story with balsamic vinegar, which is problematic to find in Ukraine at such a price. Now about alcohol. Rakia needs to be bought more expensive, from 20 leva. Wine too. Although, all the wine we tried was too young, so the wines of Bulgaria are not for everybody. There is an interesting drink there called Menta. You can purchase for the sake of interest for cocktails with sprite.
Exchangers.
Change money ONLY in Crown exchange offices and nowhere else - they will deceive you. What is a commission and how tourists are deceived with the course, read on the Internet, there are many informative stories.
Bulgaria is a fabulous country with unique landscapes and friendly people! We will definitely come here again! !
