Just got back from Bulgaria today. Immediately sat down to write a review in hot pursuit.
We chose the Trakia Plaza Hotel based on numerous reviews and advice on the Internet.
Overall rating - very good, but not excellent.
And now in more detail.
---Location---
+ - The hotel is 10 minutes walk from the sea. For some it may be a bit far, but for us it's fine. With two children came very quickly.
+ The pools are located in the courtyard, in a closed area (unlike many hotels that have pools right next to the roadway)
+ Close to the city center (10-15 minutes walk to the pedestrian zone with entertainment facilities)
+ 10 minutes from the hotel there is an excellent Mladost supermarket, where you can buy almost anything and at normal prices, and not at those offered in tourist areas.
+ Well-groomed territory
---Numbers---

- We arrived at 15.00, so they were ready to settle us immediately. But, at my request, the administrator refused to give us a room overlooking the pool, not the street... I asked very politely, even in English : ) But she said that the number was already assigned to us and nothing could be done. So I pulled out the prepared 5 euros from the passport...
+ The room is spacious enough for two adults and two children (see photo). For children laid out a sofa consisting of two separate beds.
+ The shower and toilet are quite decent, everything is clean and renovated. The shower is separated from the bathroom by a threshold, but the floor was still wet, of course, after everyone had taken a shower. We left the ventilation on overnight and by morning everything was dry.
- When the three soaps and shampoos that we were given at the beginning ran out, no one else reported anything new. Of course, we had everything with us, but still 4 *... A week later, I could not stand it and for the sake of interest I went to ask the administrator. To my great surprise, he took out a box of shampoos and soap and asked how much I needed.
- As I was warned, the side overlooking the street and the main entrance is very noisy in the evening and at night. This is a fact) Cafes play live music, Germans shout ditties : )
+ BUT during the day there is practically no noise (the children slept with the window open), and secondly, in the evening this noise was somewhere from 22 to 24 hours. During this time, we closed the window, turned on the air conditioner (which worked just fine) and everything was great.
- By the end of the stay had to use the fumigator. The mosquitoes just went wild.
+ Cleaned the rooms daily. Once every couple of days we left a lion tip.
---Nutrition---
They eat at the Chuchura restaurant (see photo), which is right next to the hotel.
+ In general, we were satisfied with the food. Quite varied, often very tasty.
- The coffee is disgusting. And in vending machines, and in a can at breakfast and at bars.
--Breakfast - - 7.30 – 10.00

The usual set: scrambled eggs / fried eggs every other day; tomatoes-cucumbers-onions daily; two types of sausages - usually edible; hard cheese - inedible; white cheese-cottage cheese (like cheese) - delicious; a couple of types of croutons; a couple of types of fried sausage / sausages; there were also porridges - oatmeal, semolina - we did not try, couscous - delicious; and also cereals, muesli, jam, nutella, hot and cold milk, yogurt, kefir, oranges / grapefruit - every other day, bananas. Drinking: sprite, fanta, cola, schweppes, water, yuppies (red and yellow) - proudly called juice and leaving a bitter taste in the mouth. All drinks are available in the bar until 24.00. And for breakfast in the restaurant you can take tea or coffee (I repeat - terrible horror).
--Snack—10.00 – 12.00
Sandwiches are made in the courtyard of the hotel. Most often, bread and meat / cheese are warmed up from breakfast, and vegetables are offered with them.
--Lunch—12.00 – 14.00 From our point of view, it’s too early…
Always tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, Shopska-type salad, shredded vegetables (cabbage / carrots) / green salad, always pasta / vermicelli, french fries, baked potatoes (fatty), boiled potatoes were often, but for some reason cold - in the salad compartment heated in the microwave. A couple of types of meat (fried - very tasty, stewed - sometimes fatty, meatballs and homemade sausages - out of a dozen we liked only once), stewed vegetables, stews - delicious. There are always about 5 types of cakes and biscuits (the latter are very tasty) and always fruit. Fruits, with one exception, were always ripe, fresh and very tasty. Usually two types at a time. We ate cherries (at the beginning of the holiday), apricots, peaches, and many, many sweet watermelons and melons (and this is in June! ). Tea and coffee only in the hotel bar, which is not very convenient.
--Snack—15.00-18.00
Ice cream - white and chocolate - in the courtyard of the hotel, biscuits in bulk in bars.
--Dinner—18.00-21.00
In general, I wrote the same list as for lunches, only plus fish dishes, rice always, grilled meat - very tasty (most often chicken and pork, a couple of times there was beef). Oh yes, white and red dry wine, beer.
--Bar-
All day non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks. But instead of orange juice, they pour fanta into cocktails (vodka + fanta is an interesting combination) and other carbonated drinks. The coffee doesn't taste good at all.
- Health
The children drank from the brought cups, every day we gave them bacteria and vitamins. They ate fruit only after washing it, even in a restaurant. Thank God, there were no poisonings and diseases.
---Swimming pool---

+ Large pools, three slides for children and adults. We even had a problem, the children preferred pools to the sea... But we solved it by stopping going to the pool. The water is not heated, but in the sun its temperature is quite acceptable. The floor is slippery all around. The little ones repeatedly fell and hit their heads.
General impression. We would return to this hotel again, but I want to see new places.
I recommend.
PySy. There are many more impressions about the city itself, but they probably need to be separately... )
