When choosing a hotel, our attention was initially attracted by Majestik 4 *. But it did not work out - they did not sell it for 10 days from the desired date. As an alternative, they offered the neighboring hotel Fiesta Beach 4 *, which as a result did not disappoint us! It is located in the northern part of Sunny Beach, closer to the outskirts, between the hotels Majestik 4 * and Helena 5 * (neighbors worthy of beauty and decoration, I must tell you! ). The first line, only a walking alley separates from the beach. Distance from the center contributes to a more relaxed atmosphere. The contingent of vacationers in the hotel: English and German speakers predominate, there are Italians, there are very few locals, but Russian speakers are few.

CURRENCY EXCHANGE

Upon check-in, they offered to use the safe - 7 lev / day. Since only local levs are accepted as payment in Bulgaria, I had to change dollars at the rate of 1.3 directly at the hotel in order to pay for the safe. The city has a more loyal rate, if you look. For example, in exchangers CROWN - 1.
4 and also without commission. In general, both the tourists themselves and the host have repeatedly focused our attention on the fact that currency transactions in street exchangers are risky - either they charge an additional commission, or slip old banknotes ...Therefore, it is recommended that the exchange be carried out exclusively in banks, hotels or in a network of exchange offices CROWN.

HOTEL ROOM
Our standard double room (2 beds, mini sofa, minibar, TV, wardrobe, 2 mirrors, toilet, shower, washbasin, hair dryer, air conditioning) was located on the 7th floor overlooking the sports stadium with green grass of the Majestik Hotel and on background on low mountains. In general, the view is quite decent, especially since the double-glazed windows in the rooms go from the floor itself and one of the edges of the balcony is also made of glass, only tinted. Cleaning was done daily, towels changed in the same way, bed - after 7 days.

FOOD IN THE HOTEL
Our meals were HB buffet style. Each of your visits to the restaurant is recorded by a boy at the entrance - he makes a note in your food card, which you receive upon check-in. Standard breakfast: scrambled eggs, fried / boiled eggs, toast, vegetable cuts (cucumbers, tomatoes), meat cuts, cheeses, sausages, sausages, muesli, fruits (watermelons, apples, peaches, grapefruits), cookies, buns. Pancakes are fried in front of you, which you yourself fill with various jams / creams / honey. From drinks: tea, coffee, milk, multi-colored "yupi". Dinners were varied. There are always two types of soups, pizza, various meat dishes (often chicken, pork, once there was lamb), salads, side dishes (rice, potatoes, pasta), fruits (in addition to the above melons and grapes), cakes, ice cream. There is a fish day, there is a national cuisine day.

Now I'm estimating from memory the main dishes without desserts, there were about 20 - so there is a choice : -) The quality of the cooked food, as for me, is at a high level. Earlier in Turkey and the Crimea, to be honest, I had complaints about the digestive system. Here, the first-aid kit did not happen to use at all.
Drinks at dinner are paid. Price level: tea - 1 lev, juice - 2 lev, cappuccino - 2.5 lev, local beer - 1.9 lev per 330 ml, imported beer is more expensive - something like 2.5-3 lev per 250 ml. If you want to save on drinks, you can easily get by with juicy fruits, ice cream and peach compote, which is always present at dinner. The waiters are unobtrusive and quite attentive, although they are sincerely happy about the tip : -)

SERVICE IN THE HOTEL
As an indicator of the level of service, I will give a case from life. According to the schedule, we had breakfasts from 7 to 10, and dinners from 20 to 21.30. We were late once because of the excursion for breakfast, about 10 minutes that way.
Since the waiters had removed almost all the food stalls by this time (they have everything clearly there, like the Germans), we had to be content only with salads that had not yet been taken away. We sit, chew...The manager of the restaurant comes up, who speaks different languages and daily asks everyone if everything suits him, and politely asks, they say, are you late? Once again he reminded us of the restaurant's work schedule and at the same time gave instructions to the waiter. A minute later they brought us huge dishes with selected food (similar to what the staff eats), they asked what we wanted for dessert - ice cream or a cake. Towards the end: served ice cream decorated with various jokes there. Maybe it was an exception, of course, but the fact that the hotel did not disregard and fed the "violators" of the regime not only pleased us, but also pleasantly surprised us : -) By the way, special thanks to the restaurant manager Ivan for his attention to everyone vacationer.

RECREATION AND ENTERTAINMENT

As far as rest is concerned. The hotel has a swimming pool, free sunbeds and umbrellas. We preferred to swim in the sea and sunbathe on the sunbeds by the pool. Firstly, you don't have to pay 6 levs for a sunbed on the beach, and secondly, all things are still on "their" territory. This is so, just in case, because the gypsies in Sunny Beach are by no means not uncommon ...What else is there in the hotel? Table tennis, American billiards (3 lev/game). Every evening until 12 o'clock in the restaurant live music. Repertoire - well-known world hits.
On Sun at the hotel a la "national day": from 20.00 to 20.30 national dances and music, and, of course, national cuisine. In the evenings, you can occupy yourself with walks along the embankment, contemplation of the moon path, "reconnaissance" of the situation in neighboring hotels (you can safely go to the territory of the hotels, take pictures), there are discos, bars ...

TOURS
We bought directly from our host Alma-tour.
The representative was a very pleasant and attentive middle-aged man Christo, who gave exhaustive answers to all questions that arose during the holiday (where to buy, see, etc. ) So, we chose the Rose-Shipka-Eter Valley tour (45 euros) ). Intense and interesting tour. You will drive almost half the country. It takes all day (we left at 6.25, arrived at 21.40). If you are tempted by this trip, keep in mind: rose products in the Rose Valley and even on the further route of this excursion are much cheaper than in Sunny Beach on the embankment, so you have the opportunity to save on souvenirs. I also recommend visiting Nessebar to plunge into the extraordinary and charming atmosphere. You can drive right under the walls of the old city on a local bus (0.7 lev), which runs at intervals of 15 minutes.

SOUVENIRS
Traditional magnets, plates, figurines and every little thing in abundance will be offered to you on the embankment alleyka.
You can also bring as souvenirs/gifts: rose cosmetics, rose jam, brandy (local vodka), mastic (aniseed vodka), wine, rose liquor, mentu (28% alcoholic drink, used as a component for cocktails). For lovers of silver jewelry, a walk along the embankment is a real test (a very large selection of trinkets). I recommend buying food and drinks at the Mladost supermarket (the lowest prices). The location is described in detail in the review HOLIDAY ON SUNNY BEACH 2007

CUSTOMS
!!!!! ! Be carefull!!!!!

I did not dare to check in glass jars of jam and mentu, I decided to take them in my hand luggage so as not to break them. I had a total volume of up to 1 liter, but the container was 200 gr each. Absolutely everything was confiscated: -((( It turns out: Containers with a volume of NO MORE THAN 100 ml are allowed in hand luggage, packed in separate plastic bags with a maximum capacity of 1 liter, which can be taken at the baggage drop point.
One passenger can carry only one such package. A friend was not allowed to pass with a 300 ml jar, in which only 50 ml of solution for contact lenses remained. I had to pour right there into a 100 ml container, which, thank God, she had with her.
So learn from the mistakes of others...

ALL PLEASANT REST AND BRIGHT POSITIVE IMPRESSIONS!! !
