We went to Bulgaria for the first time with a young company and were very worried that we would encounter a bunch of problems, a dirty sea, etc. We were very pleasantly surprised by the service provided, good weather and low prices.
The hotel is located on the first line, it does not have its own territory, but compared to neighboring hotels, it occupies a large area, as it consists of two buildings: the first is about 8 floors, the second, newer, 13 floors. We lived in a newer one on the 12th floor. The balcony overlooked the sea and the bar/club street. We were worried that it would be very noisy, but we came to the room so tired that it did not interfere with our sleep at all, especially with a closed balcony.
The room was quite large: a wardrobe, two bedside tables, a large mirror with another bedside table, two chairs and a table, there were also two chairs and a table on the balcony. There is no safe in the room, only at the reception. We left everything in suitcases with a lock, nothing was missing.
They clean the room for 3-ku: they make the bed, change towels daily, sweep the floor, it seemed to me that they didn’t wash it. But this is a common thing in 3 and 4-kah. The bed was changed once a week, it didn’t bother us at all, we don’t change it more often at home.
Meals: We took breakfast and dinner. European breakfast, ie. cereals, milk, yogurt, scrambled eggs, omelettes, eggs, salads, toast, jam, honey, etc. The breakfast was not even bad, the choice is decent, there is something to compare. Dinner was varied, dishes changed every day, on a separate table every day there was a dish of Bulgarian cuisine. 3-4 types of salad, 2 types of soup, watermelons, peaches, apricots, melons. A lot of desserts, cookies, soufflé . The only minus that was noticeable for me personally was that there were no steaks or chicken, apart from the sauces. That is, it was a stew or meat and vegetables baked in a pot. For me, they were very sharp, it was extremely difficult to pick out the meat from there.
Staff: I don’t know who the authors of angry reviews encountered, but all the employees of the hotel and restaurant greeted us, we even asked them for advice on how to get to Nessebar, where it is better to have lunch. The least friendly were the people at the reception, but they had shifts of 12 hours, so it is logical that by the end of the working day, it was already extremely difficult for them to smile
Beach: sandy. Upon arrival, we immediately bought an umbrella and therefore did not rent sunbeds, which cost about 10 lev. The sea in the early days was restless, there was a full moon, high tide and therefore there were a lot of algae everywhere, we walked from the hotel to the right, there was the cleanest beach. Then the sea calmed down and there were no more problems finding a place.
I do not think that Sunny Beach is ideal for a family vacation, as it is more of a youth resort with a lot of parties, bars, discos and other entertainment events that started as early as 7 pm. A lot of rest there Dutch, Austrians, Germans, British. Their average age is up to 27 years.
Although there were a lot of couples with children, who also walked all night, listened to music and danced. Looks like someone likes it better
I won’t say anything about the animation, we never reached the pool) For children in all hotels, there seem to be a lot of animators who entertain children simply from dawn to dusk. Not far from the Globe there is a water park
Prices in Bulgaria are very low, for 1000 rubles you can order about 5 dishes (and their portions are huge) and drinks. we already overate for 200 rubles per person, although it is extremely difficult to eat hot dishes in such heat.
