Hello! I want to share my opinion about this hotel. We traveled as a family, myself, my husband and a 5-year-old child. I'll start with the rooms: the room is spacious, we were given an extra bed for a child and, in principle, there was still room. The balcony overlooked the front. The bathroom is a bit small, everything is very compact.

There is a hair dryer and 2 towels for each person. Only now they changed them only after you leave a tip, you just can’t wait ))))))
Now the food: it's on top!!!
For breakfast: vegetables (cucumbers, tomatoes, salad peppers), 3 types of sausage, salmon, croutons, scrambled eggs, boiled egg, just scrambled eggs, sausages, buns, butter, cheese, pancakes (chocolate, waiting for them, honey) Milk + muesli to choose from. Tea, coffee, pear or cherry compote).
For lunch: 2 types of soup, vegetables, meat (chicken, pork, beef), fish, french fries and just boiled with herbs, spaghetti, rice, salads, any water of your choice, wine, beer. Compote, bread, buns, hot dogs. Biscuits, cookies. Watermelons, peaches, apples, oranges.
For dinner: in principle, the same set, only without soups, but they did grilled chicken.
During the day, ice cream of any taste, from 10-18 eat as much as you want. From 14-18 hot dogs. In the hotel lobby from 14-23 they pour it for free, and at the bar by the pool after 18 you already have to pay. They poured: vodka, red and white wine, gin, rum, Bulgarian moonshine, coffee or mint liqueur, beer, martini. Tea, coffee, cappuccino, water (sprite, cola, fanta, tonic).
The Internet is paid, about 5 dollars. 10 min. billiards American 5 dollars party, tennis $5 All other entertainment in the city. The center is not far, about 20 minutes walk at a slow pace. To the sea 3 minutes. Paid deck chair + umbrella = 8 euros. We lay on a mat, so if you don't want to pay, take a mat and beach towels with you. At the pool, sun loungers are free, if you are pool lovers, then advice, take sun loungers before breakfast)))) then you will not find a free one))) The pool is quite large, compared to some other hotels.
at the expense of excursions: our guide never showed up, the company 2 go holidayy. We were not particularly upset, not far from the hotel there is a desk that deals with excursions, it is even cheaper there than it would be with a guide. We went on excursion "Bulgarian village" - honestly complete garbage))))))))))) only the child liked it. Clowns, magicians and national dances. Everything else is for money. The food sucks....compared to the food in our hotel....I even regretted it a little, we paid = 100 dollars. for three.
They also have the city museum of Nessebar. We did not order a tour, after lunch we went to the street above, there is a bus stop in front of the Arda Hotel, got on the minibus number 1, about 1 dollar. per person child free. And we ourselves went to Nessebar. approximately 15 min. drive. (final stop). We went to the local history museum 10 dollars. for two. child free. In the basement there is a collection of old icons - I liked it very much. We walked around the city, took some pictures and went back to the hotel satisfied as well.
On the currency account: it is more profitable to change the dollar to their currency, then it will be more economical. the course is approximately 1 dollar - 1.43 lev. We changed right at the hotel, because in the exchangers they write the rate more, and when you ask how much it will be, they say less))))))) this is their trick. Everything is clear in the hotel. We found a course a little further from ours - in another hotel I don't remember its name. In short, advice, before changing money, walk down the street and compare the rate only in hotels (they definitely don’t fool around).
At the expense of purchases: we spent money only on souvenirs and on children's things. Children's things, by the way, are cheaper than ours. But adults are much more expensive. Magnets offer the most profitable 10 dollars - 6 pcs. Products from the Bulgarian rose here prices from 2-50 dollars. There are a lot of clothes and shoes for sale. Sports suits are everywhere. Sex shops, cafes with dancing girls are also full. 2 moon park. Horse-drawn carts, and a bunch of other names of which I don’t even know))))))).
I hope my review will help you decide on the choice of hotel.

You can read about all the advantages of this hotel in other reviews, but we want to tell you about two significant (in our opinion) minuses. 1. Catastrophically there is not enough space in the dining room! 2. Drunk tourists yell at night! Otherwise, a good hotel. Excellent food (thanks to the cooks), convenient location, friendly staff.

I really went and expected something "not quite good. " But from the moment of arrival until the end of the holiday there were absolutely no complaints. The hotel is clean, cleaned every day, towels changed every other day. The staff is attentive and pleasant. The cuisine for a three-star hotel is quite decent.

I'll start in order. One BUT……. From what I have listed below, NOTHING AFFECTED MY BULGARIAN REST AND ATTITUDE TO THE HOTEL!!!
MEETING:
Rested family of 3 people: me, husband, child 3.4 years. The meeting party of Teddy Kam. Met promptly, without any excesses and incidents. The meeting guide is an aged woman, very sociable and humorous) I immediately infected with positive.
HOTEL:
The hotel is very decent for its 3 *. Everywhere is clean, the staff is friendly, always ready to help, not everyone knows Russian and with difficulty. But we understood each other. The territory is also well-groomed, a lot of greenery, everything is neat and pleasantly decorated.
ROOM:
Upon arrival at the hotel, they settled immediately, because. we arrived at 14.40. Check-in after 14.00, check-out before 12.00
The room was spacious, clean, comfortable. We took the "Superior". The air conditioner was brand new. At first, this did not please us, but then we found pluses: it cools no worse, but more gently and not with a lot of cold pressure, which is great for a child. The balcony is very spacious, equipped with a clothes dryer, 2 chairs and a table. I went out to the golf course, I even saw a decent piece of the sea.
The rooms were cleaned WELL every day, regardless of whether you leave a lion for tea or not. I had to wipe the dust myself. Towels were changed 1 time in 2 days, bed linen 1 time per week.
NUTRITION:
Breakfast: fried eggs, 2 types of scrambled eggs, sausages, vegetables, yogurt, cereal with milk, toast, croissants, fruit…. In general, a typical European breakfast. Pancakes were fried at the barbecue from 8.00 to 10.00, whoever has the patience to stand in line will get his pancake . . BUT... 1 serving on hand, so if you are 2. . 3 . . etc. let them line up for you too.
Lunch: always 2 types of soup (one is always meat, the second is cream soup). The first 1.5 weeks there was a chic choice of meat: veal, pork, chicken, fish were constantly present. Stewed vegetables, french fries, often made lasagna as a side dish. And fruits are always watermelons, sometimes apricots, often apples and oranges.
After the mass check-in of the Russians took place, signs were posted asking not to take food out of the restaurant, apples and oranges began to be cut in half.
By the way, the volume of meat has decreased. But there has always been a choice.
At lunchtime, hoddogs were cooked on the barbecue.
Get ready that in all dishes there will be a specific Bulgarian national seasoning... let's say for an amateur.
We talked to the locals on the beach, they assured us that the Baikal Hotel is one of the most popular and best in everything in this part of the resort.
Also spoke to people from other hotels, and 4 and 5 stars who were horrified by the food in their hotels. Watered down wine, twisted sausage patties. . . people paid for ALL and had to shop for groceries, which cost at least 100 euros a day.
Dinner: in principle, everything that was for lunch, only cooked anew, in a slightly different combination of products, even the soup was....NEW . . not one of those soups that were not eaten at lunch))) The same fruits.
On the table with fruit there is always fresh compote of 2 types, yogurt, sour milk.
BBQ dinner was OR: chicken, pork, sausages, meatballs… every day one of these. + fried with spaghetti sauce. Again, 1 serving in hand, standing in a huge queue)
Throughout the day there was always ice cream, cakes (biscuit + whipped cream... ), soft drinks in bars, local spirits.
They always took red dry wine, the spill was from bottles (not skittles), the wine was not diluted and very worthy.
The hotel is very close to the center, until you pass a bunch of shopping rollers, you will not notice how you are already in the center.
To the sea at best 5 minutes, directly through the hotels "Pliska" and "Pomorie". Sunbeds and umbrellas for a fee. No one will allow you to lie just on a towel by the sea, a free zone has been set aside for this, 25-30 steps from the sea. Umbrella - 8 lev (4 euros), sunbed - 8 lev. Expensive, but we took only an umbrella and enjoyed the sea air.
The beaches are very clean, the sand burned your feet, but it was great! The sea has never been calm, because. wind was always present.
The climate is pleasant and dry.
PURCHASES:
All things are Turkish, from there they carry. Bulgarians DO NOT BARGAIN, and even get a little angry when you try to dump something. But at the same time, very friendly, kind, humorous! Prices bite, but something you can afford, it turns out a little cheaper than our prices.
A CAFE:
You don't particularly accelerate. Went 1 time before leaving. We took: 3 kebabs (chicken, pork, veal) with a side dish, 1 fish (beluga) to try for everyone, a bottle of wine (at first they brought it to us, opened it and let us try it, would we like it), juice, beer, 1 cocktail (brought 2, one as a gift), gave about 60 euros. After the calculation, they brought us a glass of liquor as a gift, and juice for the child. The waitress constantly came up and asked if we liked everything and if everything was in order.
It is customary to leave 10% of the amount for a tip, which we did, because. were in a very good mood from such a friendly attitude.
DEPARTURE:
We vacated the room at 11.45. At 12.05 we were already taken away, so we did not have to wait long. They took us to the airport, showed us where our check-in was and departed affably with the wishes to return to beautiful Bulgaria, with a great climate, wonderful good-natured people, which we will do... and the hotel - OF COURSE "BAIKAL" !!! !

I agree with the previous comments, the BAIKAL hotel has not been 2 * for a long time, I rate it at 4 * +, we had a superior - and so it is very spacious, with a refrigerator, a TV with 5 Russian channels, the tiles in the bathroom are good, you can immediately see that not cheap, shower, toilet, sink clean and white (which is very nice).

Rooms are cleaned every day, my friend and I took a safe - 5 leva for one day, although I think that it was possible without it, the staff is friendly and tidy, nothing was missing from the room, towels are changed every two days, but then the soap stopped give (it's good that a friend took it with her). There is a hair dryer. The balcony is spacious - we loved having hot chocolate there. By the way, drinks and food are all included. And that's great. Tea, coffee, chocolate, cocoa, carbonated and fruit water and alcohol (tequila, rum, vodka, whiskey) - free of charge and as much as you want, all day long, until 22 hours, it seems. My applause to the chef. The food is amazingly delicious and varied. Only 3 buffets. On the first - vegetables: cucumbers, tomatoes, lettuce, cheese, bell pepper. On the second - hot dishes - meat, chicken, fish, mushrooms (marinated and stewed), in sauces and simply fried. On the third - stewed vegetables. I call this table lean. It is very convenient - whoever observes the fast will find here everything he needs - peas, corn, beans, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, potatoes. There are also ice cream, cakes, fruits made from apples, oranges, once plums, nectarines, often very watermelons. There is a pear and a cherry in compote. For breakfast - many types of sausages, eggs (and fried eggs, and whipped and hard-boiled), vegetables, croutons - different (which is impressive!!! ). Everyone will find food to their liking. The beach is relatively close - 300 meters, close to the center. You can get to Nessebar - an ancient city - from a bus stop for 1 lev = 20 rubles. The sea was really cold for me. In general, we can assume that it is clean and transparent - you can see the bottom and sand. There may be algae in places, but it can be seen that they brought them. The next day without them. The weather is just excellent - 28-30 degrees and no rain all week!! ! Two minuses - the pool is dirty - in the sense you can find swimming animals in it - a fly or a dragonfly and, secondly, checking into a hotel from two o'clock - but this is everywhere. how you spend the morning - you decide - we slept on sofas in the living room. The reception lounge and the lobby bar are cozy. Sports are paid. There is an exchange office. - By the way, the cheapest in the area. Go - you won't regret it!! !

And here is our review of the rest at the Baikal Hotel (Sunny Beach). There were 6 of us, including 2 children. Let's start in order: We arrived at the hotel at 20.30 and then the first surprise awaited us, we were not on the check-in lists. At the reception, they said that in 15 minutes a representative from the meeting party (Teddy Kam) would come to us and resolve the issue with the settlement.

We waited 40 minutes and realized that no one would deal with us. We began to resent, because we had small children. At our request to feed the children (there was dinner at that time), we were refused, because you are not on the list for settlement, there is no dinner either. When our indignation turned to shouting, we were told that we needed to check into another hotel for two days (Hotel Mercury 4 stars 1.5 km from Baikal) and offered to take a taxi at our own expense or go on foot with children, suitcases and bags) operator, we were told to check in, because
this is the problem of the Baikal hotel, associated with the double sale of seats. With cries, we managed to be taken to Mercury at the expense of the meeting party. Two days passed and we returned to Baikal. On 3 + the hotel does not pull at all. In the morning at 7.00 all the sunbeds by the pool are occupied with towels. Pancakes were delicious for breakfast, but you had to stand in line for 30 minutes, and sometimes, having stood in line, you could leave with nothing, because the pancakes finished singing at exactly 10.00 The dishes in the restaurant were dirty and broken, and it’s not a restaurant you name it, the dining room is no more. People ate standing up because there were not enough seats. At lunch, the choice was large, but all the meat (pork, chicken, beef) tasted the same because of the same seasoning and incomprehensible liquid (gravy in which vegetables half-eaten from breakfast were swimming. There were fresh fruits (grapes, nectarine), but not duty, because they took out 2-3 bowls (3 liters) and had to have time to take it, and then they took out apples and oranges.
for dinner there was the same food, of an incomprehensible taste, pizza from one corn or only sausages or only mushrooms, in general, what was for lunch. Drinks were poured only into plastic cups, glass only for a fee. The bar closed at 23.00 and from 22.00 there was a huge queue. The bar by the pool after 18.00 was only paid and looked more like a disco, where music was roaring until 3.00, although the bar was supposed to work until 24.00 and even with the balcony closed it was not possible to sleep. Only after repeated complaints did the music begin to play quieter after 1.00. Regarding the service, linen was changed only once in 2 weeks and then on demand, soap and shampoo were given only once upon check-in, and toilet paper was given regularly. At the request to give out shampoo and soap, we were told that they did not understand us, and then they said that it was not allowed, and since not only we were loudly indignant about this at the same time, they brought us soap without shampoo, and then shampoo without soap.
There was only one elevator, and it was often faster to go down on foot from the 6th floor. There were a lot of dissatisfied people in terms of food and service, there was nothing for children to do here, because the playground has one name, but sunbathers lie on the green lawn, forgot to wear a swimsuit top. If you want to relax in a hostel, eat in the dining room, be surrounded by constantly screaming Germans, then you are here.
We do not recommend this hotel to anyone. We chose this hotel based on the positive reviews. Do not choose the Baikal Hotel for anything in the world.

The hotel is cool, we rested on the 1st floor to the road, which was not very pleasing, but there were also pluses in this that we did not have to wait for the elevator and take a long time to get to the room. The beach is a 5-minute walk, but it was frustrating that there were paid sun loungers and umbrellas for 8 levs, but if you walk along the beach, you can find free areas where you can relax.

They cleaned every day, but they didn’t change the linen at all, they didn’t see shampoo and soap, they changed the towel only after that they threw it on the floor, probably it was also necessary to do with the linen. We arrived at 9, check-in at 14, dinner at 18, that is, they didn’t feed for 9 hours, although they didn’t warn us, without knowing this, they took food and, without having time to try, they took away plates of food, despite the fact that there were several minutes left before registration. The sea is clean although not near the hotel but 500 meters to the right to Nessebar. Nessebar has a cool water park for 38 levs per person.

Were in this hotel with my daughter from June 22 to July 2.2012. Before the trip, I chose a hotel for a long time. I read a lot of reviews and stopped at the Baikal Hotel. The hotel corresponds to its 3 *. The girls at the reception are very friendly and will always help if there is a problem. The hotel itself is conveniently located.

The beach is 5 minutes walk. 10 minutes to central park. , this is very good, because no loud sounds are heard. The room overlooked the 3rd floor pool. Reading the reviews, we thought it would be very noisy, but no, we were lucky. We were on the beach all day, in the afternoon a couple of hours of relaxation in an air-conditioned room, and in the evenings walks around the city. They came around 12 o'clock, and an hour later the music by the pool stopped and good night to everyone. True, the Germans shouted a couple of times, but it was understandable that it was still a football championship. The room itself was standard. Two beds, a bedside table, a wardrobe, a table with a mirror, an armchair bed, air conditioning, a refrigerator, a TV. The bathroom is also decent: shower, toilet, sink, hair dryer. In general, everything is fine. The room was cleaned every day (tip 2 leva), towels were changed every other day, the bed every five. The food was also very good, we were not hungry. . We took all inclusive and did not regret it. Ice cream, cake, water, etc. as much as you like and all with a smile. Yes, there were a lot of people, but this is understandable because the holiday season. The hotel area is not big, but very well maintained and clean. There is mini golf. You can play, or you can just sit and watch how others play, no one drives you away. The pool is not big, with an area for small children. But we didn’t need it, because we were going to swim in the sea, and not in the pool. To the sea 150 meters. The beach is clean and well maintained. Yes, umbrellas and sun loungers are paid, but next to the sea. We took only an umbrella (8 lev is 4 euros) and lay on towels. The water was very warm and clean. Only in the last 2-3 days algae sailed, but it was possible to find a place without them. Lots of entertainment: banana, water skiing, tablet, flying on a steam plane, massage. Every whim for your money. In the city, especially in the evening, cafes, restaurants, attractions, horses, bicycles, trains, etc. are waiting for you. Choose to your taste. Many excursions are offered. We were in Balchik - the botanical garden and Cape Kaliakra, we liked everything very much. nearby, 10 min. by bus city of Nessebar. Very beautiful and old town. I advise everyone! Were there several times, because once is not enough. The weather all these days was just super! Come to Bulgaria to the Baikal Hotel and have a great rest.

This is a huge plus as you don't hear any noise from the pool. Let me tell you about the downsides. nasty seasoning in all dishes. . . it is difficult to eat it interrupts all the tastes of food. . queue at the restaurant all the time. . . about the beach, quite clean and not far from the hotel but. . paid deck chairs and umbrellas. . . It would seem that if you don't want to, don't take it. . . but! the free zone is very narrow, they lie on top of each other, just like in the center of the bay. and the sunbeds are 2-thirds empty. . and the price is 8 lion umbrella 8 chaise longue. total for three -32 leva, which is 16 euros. . . about the hotel, everything worked, the staff is very young and very few people understood even a word in Russian. . this is very surprising. We were lucky with the weather it was sunny. went to Nessebar. no enthusiasm. . . for an amateur. . in Varna were in the dolphinarium. . just a nightmare. if you were in odessa in dolphinarium in varna you will be disappointed. . the program is weak, everything is old and terrible, only 5 dolphins, and then only 3 worked. . about the Germans is a separate story, really very noisy, very annoying. . many shops are not far from the hotel, but we had enough food, so we went to the shops more out of interest. . prices are almost the same as in Chisinau. product is the same. I think it's worth going to Baikal. we would go again but decided not to go to the same place 2 times)) have a good rest for everyone. . . after all, not everything depends on the hotel of the sea - it all depends on the mood!
