In 2008, we traveled first by train Kiev-Sofia for 40 hours. From there by bus to Varna 8 hours. Then to Albena 30 minutes. In short, we went "to Moscow via Vladivostok." It was "fun". This year we will fly by plane, although we are afraid. But it is better to go by train not to Sofia, but to get off at Ruse or Gornaya Oryahovitsa and transfer to a train or bus to Varna.
