1. The check-in went quickly enough, but at first they offered a room that did not suit us (Eta building) - the second floor, under the windows there are garbage cans and the roadway. 2. The territory of the hotel is small, everything is very compact. Not much greenery. Several cases in a very beautiful design make a big impression.

3. Rooms are spacious, sometimes apartment type (stove, etc. ). No frills. Everything is modest.
4. Food and drinks are of high quality. Local and European cuisine. Good house wines.
5. Animation is missing.
6. We resorted to massage services in the SPA, we were satisfied! It is a pity that the hotel does not have mud treatments.
Would I go there again? - YES.

We (a family with two small children) are very pleased with our vacation at the Sunset Resort - a wonderful gently sloping sandy clean beach, 3 restaurants for all inclusive and 3 more paid ones (Italian, Fish and forgot the third one), spacious rooms with gorgeous sea views and very well equipped kitchen, a beautiful and clean area with a fountain, 3 slides are not dangerous at all, bowling for older children and adults, of course.

Overall, GREAT value for money. The only negative is the paid sunbeds on the beach, BUT the sunbeds by the pools are free and you can always find free ones, even in August. So judging by previous reviews since 2011, things have improved significantly. We will definitely return to this hotel again!! !

We rested in Bulgaria not for the first time, in mid-August the best climate. Now, about the hotel. Very large, not 5 stars, no slippers, bathrobe, hair dryer, the bar is not full. The rooms are big. We only had breakfasts, food received for C grade, no fruit, green peaches, plums that cannot be eaten.

Guide Fedor - sucks, does not know anything or does not want to tell the truth. If he offers a tour (wine tasting and folklore dinner), do not agree, because. wine tasting across the road from the hotel, and folklore dinners are not taken from this hotel. The beach is good, you can not buy sunbeds on the beach (there are no soft mattresses for them). nearby sunbeds near the pool for free and comfortable (things under supervision). We don’t really recommend going to this hotel (and Pomorie, after all, the Grand Pomornie hotel is the best for a relaxing holiday for 1-2 weeks). Good tour to Shipka (educational).

The hotel is new, that's all the pluses ended. The food is bad, the animation is bad (or rather it is not). The room was robbed on the third day. They stole a partmonet jacket, money, documents. I had to call the police myself. I lost two days, wrote a statement to the police, collected certificates from the prosecutor's office.

Vacationing with a child. The rooms are good enough. That's where all the good stuff ended. There is no more disgusting food in any country in the world. There are plenty of restaurants but nothing to eat. Feces in pools. I did not expect that the Bulgarians are so vicious, like a brotherly people. The beaches are terrible! Dirty, there are no urns.

Collectors of money for sun loungers round up those people who lie near the seashore. Say, either pay, or go away and lie away from the water. Such disgust for vacationers have never been seen anywhere else! We have been to many places, but we will not go to Bulgaria even for free! And yet, if you are still going there, go only in mid-July. In early July it was plus 16 and an icy wind. It rains almost every day. Generally no luck!

On the declared 5 stars does not pull: 1. Very poor engineering systems in the rooms (we had an apartment with 2 bedrooms in Alpha) - the air conditioner is noisy so that the children wake up, in the bathroom from the drain, sorry, it stinks). 2. NO PRIVATE BEACH. There is a free public one (come, sunbathe for free on a towel or air mattress, which you can buy in the city for 11-12 leva, in a hotel - more expensive, or on a towel).

All umbrellas and deck chairs belong to different firms, which charge 5 leva for them (separate sunbed and separate umbrella). The pools are good, but they close at 18.00, and the water smells like bleach.
3. cleaning in the rooms is not very good (apparently, they didn’t teach the maids to clean up properly). Even tips do not help - it is clear that she is grateful and tries, but the result is so-so - in two weeks the maids did not wipe the mirror in the bathroom (they wiped it themselves), the countertop by the sink - too. To be meticulous, you need to lead the number by the hand and show where and what to remove.
4. All-inclusive meals are rather uninteresting, although good, there are practically no portioned dishes. Wines of one variety - draft white and red. Juices are a diluted yuppie type drink. There are a lot of desserts, very tasty sweet banitsa and national sweets. Fruits are mostly creepy (with the exception of watermelons and melons), but they are very cheap and very tasty can be bought at any greengrocer in the city. Additional restaurants are not all open, they were in Italian - I liked only tiramisu - amazing, the rest of the dishes had no "Italian" taste at all (apparently, they are prepared by chefs who have never tried Italian food). In the city (old part) there are a lot of cafes/restaurants where you can eat more interesting - both with local seafood and national dishes - at least two times cheaper.
In general, these are trifles. If you don’t get hung up on them, you can relax very well - a shallow sea, a good sandy beach, relatively few people, a calm non-tourist city, the Bulgarians themselves (especially older ones) are very hospitable and friendly people. You can definitely go to the service in the monastery of St. George not far from the hotel, as well as in the cathedral in the old part of the city, where there are also shops and social life.
P. S. In Pomorie they make good wine (Black Sea Gold), served in hotel restaurants, in city shops, and in the company store next door (Festa Hotel), where it is even cheaper, and the choice is the largest. You can drink in the evening on the terrace to the sound of the waves and the sea breeze, eating amazing peaches, figs, grapes - whatever you like, or you can take it with you. Children will also like everything (except wine).
