We stayed at this hotel as part of the tour "Spring Cocktail. Bulgaria + Romania" from the Accord Tour.
About the hotel:
The hotel is good, Russian-speaking friendly reception, modern design of the rooms, hydromassage shower panel in the bathroom. In the room: a safe (activated for an extra charge at the reception - 6 leva per day), a hairdryer (for some reason it didn’t work for us), a minibar fridge, an electric kettle (! ), a TV (there is ORT and RTR), two beds and a small folding sofa. The hotel is located in a good location, in the New Town, a stone's throw from the supermarket "Mladost" and "boutique" street Father Paisiy. From the hotel in 15 minutes you can walk either to the city beach of Nessebar, or to the beaches of Sunny Beach. 20 minutes walk to the Old Town. Breakfast at the hotel is hearty, but monotonous. I liked the coffee from the machine, there is milk. The hotel has a swimming pool, jacuzzi, SPA center. . . but all this was not yet working at the time of our arrival (the season had not yet begun). In general, I liked everything about the hotel, except for the cleaning of the rooms. The maids in the "Marietta" are very lazy: there was a centimeter layer of dust on the furniture, the garbage was taken out after dinner, the towels were changed as needed and nothing could stimulate them, neither tips nor complaints about the reception. Not for the first time in Bulgaria, but for the first time I come across such a "cleaning", or rather, with its complete absence. Last year we stayed in the private sector, so it was cleaner there, even though the cleaning lady came every other day, but she cleaned everything to a shine and did not forget to wash the balcony. So for cleaning "Marietta" I put 2+ (plus for taking out the garbage and a rare change of towels).

About the tour:
Went on a tour "for the company" with a friend. I am a long-time fan of Nessebar, and I visited Romania last year, so I went primarily for a relaxing holiday, and not for new experiences : ) I had never gone on bus tours from Accord before, in fact, this was my second bus trip in general (usually I prefer the plane; )). I really liked the organization of the tour. Indeed, "meeting every tourist" at the station, a good tour of Lviv, excellent drivers, a competent leader Andriy Gulko, an excellent guide in Romania - Irina Chobanu, I liked it all very much. But most of all I liked hotels - honest 4 *, and in Bulgaria (cleaning does not count), and in Romania. For a 9-day bus tour for 185 euros - this is just some kind of luxury! : )
Of course, as in any similar tour, there were "small" slips, someone was "lost", they had to return to the gas station, and the frightened "lost tourists" at that time went to catch up with the bus (how small, honestly! Even the children know : "get lost, stand still"; )), someone was disappointed with an excursion to Varna (you need to listen to the "experienced" ones: P), exchanged money at the border at an unfavorable rate, got caught in the rain in Bucharest, because of which "bus- the walking tour turned into just a "bus" tour. . . But in general, there were much more positive emotions than negative ones, and the whole tour was literally "played like clockwork", so the "Accord-tour" fully lived up to its name : )
About Nessebar:

They lived in Nessebar from 15 to 20 May. The sea, of course, was still cold (although some people still swam; ), but it was quite possible to sunbathe. The average air temperature is +23-25 degrees. The city is very, very quiet, it was interesting to watch how more and more shops open every day and the number of vacationers increases (usually in September we observed a reverse progression). Old Nessebar is simply a paradise at this time of the year: trees, poppies are blooming, the narrow streets of the town are not so abundantly crowded with souvenir shops and people. . .
I know that on the eve of summer holidays, many vacationers are primarily interested in PRICES : ) I tried to keep as many checks as possible, so I will give prices with documented accuracy; ) Those who are not interested in the financial side of the issue can finish reading the review and go to view a photo: )
So, the exchange rate (May 2011):
1 Eur - 1.94 Lev
1 USD - 1.35 Lev
Remember that in the banks of Bulgaria and Romania you can exchange currency only if you have a passport! I must say that in May in Nessebar it’s a bit tight with exchangers, they don’t work in the New Town yet, and in the Old Town there is a barbaric exchange rate and commission, so I had to use the services of a bank, an ATM and a hotel reception : )
Eat at a restaurant:
Local beer - 1.80-2 Leva (0.5)
Chorba (soup) - from 3 to 6 lev per serving (300-400 gr) depending on the type of chorba
"Syrene in Thracian" (sheep cheese baked in a pot with tomatoes, egg and sausage) - 4-5 lev.
Plate "tsatsy" (small fried fish) - 4 leva
A glass of white wine, homemade - 3 leva
Snack:
Large piece of pizza or mini pizza - 2-2.50 leva
Banichka (puff pastry stuffed with cheese or pumpkin) - 0.80 - 1 lev
Cup of coffee - 1 - 1.35 lev
Coffee from the machine - 50 stotinki
On average, in local restaurants we spent no more than 14 levs for lunch for two, with a drink...
Prices of the supermarket "Mladost":
Beer "Shumensko" 0.5l - 0.98 leva
Beer "Tuborg" 0.33 l - 1.21 leva
Rakia "Karnobatska" (local vodka, taken for souvenirs) 0.2l - 2.66 leva
Cherry juice 1 l - 2.03 leva
Mineral water 1.5 l - 0.69 leva
Sirene Krave (like our cheese) 200 gr - 1.70 leva
Kashkaval (hard cheese) 200 gr - 2.70 leva
Melon (very juicy and tasty) 800 gr - 2.63 leva
White wine, dry local 0.7 - 3.54 leva
Sausage "Sushenitsa" (brand "Ganyo Balkanski") 150 gr - 1.97 leva
Graham bread, 400 gr - 0.91 leva
Turkish olives stuffed with herbs and paprika 200g - 2.29 leva
Sweets:
Lokum Bulgarian (various varieties) pack 140 gr - 55 stotinki
Waffles "Borovets" 120 gr - 53 stotinki

Bar "Snickers" - 67 stotinki
In "Mladost" there is a culinary department, you can take ready-made dishes by weight:
Lamb fillet with spinach 700 gr -7.14 leva (the dish has a specific taste, for an amateur)
Chicken kebab (70gr) - 52 stotinki
Calamari in batter 200 gr - 2.33 leva
Moussaka 300gr - 2.20 leva
Chicken with potatoes 240 gr -1.40 leva
And of course Bulgarian cosmetics. I bring it to gifts to friends every year in large quantities:
Pink soap in the original cardboard packaging - 1.60 leva
Lavender soap in the original carton box - 1.80 leva
Pink soap, souvenir (in the form of a flower) - 1.80 leva
Aroma cream "Anti-age" - 2.70 leva
Rose cream for hands - 2.50 leva
Herbal cream (small tube) - 1 lev
Rose water - 1 lev
I bought cosmetics in Pomorie, in Nessebar, the prices for the same items are on average 50 stotinki more expensive. Ticket Nessebar - Pomorie (center) costs 3 leva, so it's not worth dragging yourself to Pomorie for one bar of soap : ) Well, if you stop by there for a walk or during an excursion - seize the moment!; )
Clothes: on sales in shops you can find good summer things from last season for 3-5 levs apiece. Also this year, Bulgarian textiles are good, fashionable styles, beautiful colors. There are large sizes for large women. Prices from 12 to 45 leva for a dress, tunic or blouse. There are good shoes of local production. I brought myself beautiful leather sandals for 32 leva and sneakers for 22 leva for my husband. Souvenir T-shirts with different inscriptions - 10-14 leva, depending on the quality.
This year's prices for umbrellas and sun loungers are not known to me, because in May everything is free. There are no lifeguards or red flags on the beaches : )
Fuuuh! I'm tired! This is the first time I write such a "financial report"; ) I hope this information will be useful to someone : )
I wish you all pleasant travels and vivid impressions! And I'm going to throw away checks : P
