We rested at the Vedren Hotel *** (an extension to the building **). The room turned out to be just huge - my child and I played football, there was a TV with music channels in the room - we turned on MTV, a refrigerator, air conditioning, new modern furniture and a decent bathroom (there is no bath or shower, just a shower and a drain in the floor, it turned out - very comfortably). Towels were changed every 2-3 days, at the request - at least every day, linen was changed once in 2 weeks - they had some problems with the laundry, they were very sorry. Cleaned up every day.
The staff is polite and friendly, and most importantly - unobtrusive. Almost everyone speaks Russian. The hotel has a lot of Ukrainians, Russians, Poles, Slovaks, there are Bulgarians.
The hotel has a doctor who serves and insurance too. There is no elevator in the hotel, but this is not surprising - it has only 4 floors, for us it was not a problem.

The pool is shallow, small with heavily chlorinated water, we were there once, and so we swam in the sea.
The animation passed us by, but I saw exercises near the pool in the morning, aqua aerobics a couple of times in the afternoon, there was also a program for children on Saturday - it didn’t happen to get in.
We only took breakfast at the hotel, during the day and in the evening you can eat in their restaurant, we were once - edible, prices are average, but in Kranevo there are a large number of restaurants with a more extensive menu and interesting atmosphere. We ended up spending less on food than if we had taken all inclusive.
Breakfast. For breakfast they gave: cucumbers, tomatoes, peppers, siren (local cheese), 4-5 types of sausages (in my opinion - not edible, but people ate), scrambled eggs, croutons, several types of pasta (with cheese, with tomato, etc. ). for some reason always cold), jams, honey, kashkaval (cheese), cherries, peaches, apricots, apples, bananas, oranges (many fruits, ripe and beautiful), many types of cookies (did not try), very tasty pastries, bread (4-5 types), tea - coffee. Tea - not quite tea (in the sense - herbal, several types, very tasty), sometimes there was black Akbar in bags, obviously at the request of vacationers : ) In our understanding, tea in stores is very expensive and there is practically no choice. But there is a large assortment of herbal tea, quite inexpensive. There were also muesli and corn flakes that could be seasoned with sour milk - an amateur, again. Thus, we were full at breakfast, but the child had nothing to give except fruit. They brewed porridge for her in the morning, then ate fruit and drank tea in the dining room.
Weather. The numbers until June 25 were hot, then very hot. It rained 2 times - on the second day and on the day of departure. The rain pours like a bucket, then immediately the sky clears up and after an hour it is already not clear that the rain has passed. The water is warm, I don’t know how many degrees, but warmer than in Krma, and even more so in Odessa at this time.

It is 250-300 meters to the beach along a dusty road, along which practically not a single tree grows (this is perhaps the biggest minus of Kranevo - sparse vegetation and the road to the beach). The beach is large, at the beginning of the holiday there was still a low season and there was practically no paid zone, by the end of the holiday it had increased significantly. The free zone - near the sea, behind the umbrellas and in the direction of the Palma Hotel - is quite sufficient, no one was lying on their heads. The occupancy of the beach was 30 percent, on weekends - 40, because. Bulgarians come for the weekend to relax. Umbrellas 5 lev per day, sun loungers - 2 each. Almost no one lay under umbrellas, but the paid zone, despite this, increased every day. The beach is cleaned, but not as carefully as we would like. Although Ukraine still can not be compared - much cleaner. The problem of cleaning the beach is exacerbated by the presence of a large number of vacationers from Russia, who consider it below their dignity to clean up after themselves.
If you go further along the coast, you will reach Albena. We walked along the shore with the child, but I forgot that there is a nudist beach, the child was somewhat shocked, but we distracted her with seagulls : ) Albena herself was not impressed at all. Clean, tidy resort. Some faceless hotels. Prices are 2 times higher, however, unlike Kranevo, it is very green. There we rode on a train, the child was delighted. We returned back by taxi for 10 leva.
everything will be built there).
Tour operator WELT, worked perfectly, no problems arose.
Restaurants. Loved the food and service in the restaurants
Izvora, Serbian (the most delicious Shopska salad), Chuchurite, mehana Vodenitsata (exceptional fish), mehana Kranevo. We used to have dinner there. I recommend to try the pancakes, I especially liked them with chocolate and honey and bananas - you will lick your fingers. Shopska salad is not always cooked with roasted peppers, but that doesn't make it any less tasty : ) Portions are everywhere - large or huge. No matter how little we tried to order, we still overate.
A couple of times we had dinner at Boyarka Bistro (to the left of Little Bamboo). Very tasty, good service, cheaper than in restaurants, but the choice of dishes is not so large + there is no territory for the child to run around. But as an option just to eat - I recommend.
We usually dined at the restaurant of the hotel "Margarita", fortunately, it is next to Vedren. This restaurant solved the problem of child nutrition for us. there was no children's menu anywhere else, and the child refused to eat boiled potatoes every day : ) They even had buckwheat! Boiled meat, steam cakes, soup, borscht, mashed potatoes, oatmeal, rice - in general, close to our menu. In addition, there is a playground where children can play while they bring the order. The adult menu is also on the level.

Wherever I categorically recommend not to go, it's the Little Bamboo establishment. Here in the reviews it was praised, so we decided to visit it. The first visit was almost successful (a couple of village-style potatoes turned out to be missing, but we decided that this was an accident). Another time they ordered boiled potatoes for the child. It would seem - how can you spoil it? They brought it, the child refuses to eat, says that it is sour. We try - and indeed, a strange aftertaste, it is impossible to eat. Please replace, bring another portion - the same, only they probably rinsed it. Spat, decided to focus on barbecue. They brought one solid pork fat - there was simply nothing to eat. All in all, we didn't go there again.
The second institution is the Ajax restaurant, we remember it as a very obsessive barker and overcooked meat, almost a sole. Then I also heard from vacationers that the meat is not tasty cooked there.
In addition to a beach holiday, we went to Varna 2 times - to take a walk and take the child to Detski kat - a park with children's attractions, which is located in Primorsky Park. There you can buy a card - it's cheaper than paying for each attraction separately. For 10 lev, we walked there from 11 am to 5 pm and still had money on the card. The child rolled on half a year ahead - there no one keeps track of time like us - with an hourglass. On the trampoline for 2 leva, for example, we spent an hour. The cost of a taxi to Varna and back in the evening is 40 levs, if you find fellow travelers, it's cheaper.
We were also in Balchik, also on our own, without an excursion. The botanical garden and the residence of Queen Mary were impressive, especially the waterfall and giant cacti and burdock. I liked the town, but there are no beaches there : ( - in the sense - normal.
I also went on an excursion to Nessebar. The city is very beautiful and I have definitely never seen anything like it. The tour was interesting, but very short. But there was a lot of free time for independent study of the area. In Nessebar, by the way, the largest selection of souvenirs. The prices are not higher than those of Kranevo.
We really liked the local ceramics, bought a whole suitcase. They also brought lokum (the cheapest and simplest turned out to be the most delicious), cosmetics with rose oil, the oil itself, spices, tea, wine and brandy.
Our vacation was a success, of the minuses I can name:
1. The almost complete absence of greenery.
2. Dusty road to the beach.
3. With a child, there is nowhere to go except to a restaurant. Children's entertainment is also almost non-existent.

But these little things did not spoil our holiday at all, we liked everything very much. Bulgarian hospitality, lack of rudeness and desire to swindle tourists for money at all costs - left a very favorable impression.
