Initially, I chose a hotel in which there would be as few of ours as possible (I mean both Ukrainians and Russians). Ukrainians really do not choose this hotel, because. it is located in the northern part of the coast of Bulgaria (it is believed that it is cooler here than in other resorts), the sea is far away and the hotel is located in an area isolated from civilization. But we still attacked 2 people. But there are a lot of Russians, mostly from Moscow and St. Petersburg. On Booking in the reviews they write that the guests of the hotel are mostly Bulgarians and Romanians... Yes, it is, but there are plenty of Russians.
We arrived at the hotel at 9:30 in the morning and we were immediately settled in the apartments, moreover, the apartments are larger in size and more expensive at NO EXTRA CHARGE.
The first thing that impressed me in the apartment was a balcony-terrace with a beautiful view of the pool. In principle, the balconies of all rooms overlook the pools or even the pool and the sea at the same time. The room had everything !! !... Well, except that there was no washing machine and a telephone (which was very surprising, because there was no connection with the reception ). The filling of the apartments consisted of a bedroom, a studio with a kitchen, an entrance hall, a pantry, a bathroom and a terrace. In them one could find: an intercom, an ironing board, an iron, a clothes dryer, a dishwasher, a boiler, a stove, an oven, a toaster, an electric kettle, a microwave oven, a refrigerator with a freezer, 3 pans, 6 glasses for wine, 6 glasses for champagne, a bucket for champagne, 2 types of glasses of 6 pcs, a cutting board, a set of different knives, a lot of flat plates (there are no deep ones for the first one), 4 cups and saucers, an ice mold, various spatulas and prichendaly for burning, spoons, forks, knives for food, a can opener... and everything seems to be... Ahhh, I forgot the flower vase. =)))))))
There is also a lot of different furniture, a lot of light (for a week of stay, we did not learn which switch from which lamp). Upon arrival, there was a bottle of water as a gift, there was disposable cosmetics, but in the following days it was not easy to beg for even 1 bottle of shower gel. They did not add cosmetics on their own, they did not change towels, only on request. But they came into the room every day: they left toilet paper and took away the trash. Cleaning is not great, but in general the rooms are clean. Bed linen was changed 3 days after check-in. There are no bathrobes, no slippers, you should not count on gels and shampoos either. I also remembered that there was no frying pan. I brought everything of my own, but someone will miss it.
The hotel area is very comfortable, clean and quiet. Paradise for children and their parents. The pools are beautiful, clean, the water in them is cooler than in the sea, but so much the better, because. the sea was very warm.
We got to the sea on a hotel bus. It runs on schedule every hour from 9:00 to 18:00. The walk is far and tiring along a steep mountain, where snakes crawl in huts. There are 2 beaches, both have both paid and free zones. The beaches are so-so. The water in the sea is constantly cloudy, often algae.
There is no service at the hotel. If you need to open an umbrella by the pool or move a sun lounger, you will have to save yourself. No one will bring you drinks and snacks from the bar either. Receptionists are also stupid. One day they give one information, another - another. It looks like there are employees, but it seems like they don't. Complete self-service = )
Breakfast at the hotel is good. Very tasty croissants, there are fruits, cold cuts, no cheeses at all (many types, but all tasteless), almost no hot choice (there was no scrambled eggs even once in a week, each time the same tasteless omelet and tasteless sausages). There are all sorts of muesli, yogurt, something else that I didn’t eat =) Also, various tasteless pies with the taste of quick soda. But despite all the descriptions of the tasteless, everyone will find something tasty for themselves and will definitely eat. Be careful when pouring tea and coffee. Everything is automatic, even boiling water. Boiling water for tea from the machine turned out to be the color of urine)))))), so I only drank juice.
There is a shop on site. . . small and clueless. In it you can buy an air mattress = ), water, ice cream, chips, but nothing sensible. There are no vegetables and fruits there, and the prices are already very high. Do not be lazy to walk to the village (10 min). There are 2 shops there. They have much lower prices, a large selection of ice cream, there are elementary fruits and vegetables, dairy products, eggs, alcohol, etc. Who needs to go to the market or to the supermarket - take a one-way transfer at the reception for 5 euros and go to Kavarna to stock up.
Money can be changed in the store or at the reception. Only euros are relevant, you should not take dollars with you.
It may seem that there is a lot of negative in my review, but I was very pleased with the hotel, all the nuances are invisible to me. Great vacation, great place.
Thank you Kaliakria Resort for a wonderful stay. I wish you all good weather, good mood, positive impressions, wonderful holidays!
I apologize for typos or errors (if any), I write quickly, I don’t like to re-read =)
