Excellent ski resort Bansko
We rested together with my husband, for us this is the second trip to the skiing abroad, before that we were in Georgia (Gudauri). As always, opinion and feedback are subjective, so I will say this - we liked it! I liked it so much that I want to go there again and again.
We lived in a small family hotel (Pirina Club), as it turned out, it was far from the ski lift, but this did not spoil the stay as they take you to the lift itself in the morning, and pick it up in the evening. And if you don’t want to adapt to the transfer (it travels 3 times in the morning and in the evening at an interval of 30 minutes), then you can walk back and walk for 15 minutes “down the hill”, this is not difficult. The town of Bansko itself is not big, clean and orderly. It is divided by the river into the right (tourist) and left (more residential) banks. The locals are very welcoming and friendly. A huge number of cafes, restaurants, mechanics, night and strip clubs. They cook everywhere deliciously and a lot, the prices for Europe are very affordable, the staff is trying. Dinner for two with beer will cost about 50 levs (25-30 euros). There is not much difference in the price of mechans, those near the ski lift, those in the center we didn’t see, but on the slope itself it’s 1.5 times more expensive. In general, it’s very fun and in the evening I really want to go for a walk even when I’m tired.
The slopes are super, for any level, the lifts are excellent.... But, probably, the only negative is the queue in the morning for the gondola lift. A whole hour! no less you will wait until you sit in the booth. The lift works smartly, but does not cope with the flow. Ski passes this year were 30 euros per day. Equipment rentals at every step, the equipment is new, there are also many training schools. I can advise those who are without equipment and are going to buy it - you can safely go to Bansko one day earlier and buy whatever your heart desires. We were stunned by the choice of clothes, and the prices for any budget. For example, in Kyiv it was a problem to buy bright snowboard clothes.
Bansko is beautiful! For lovers of ski holidays, a must visit.
