I had a rest in Bulgaria, in the city of Albena in the Elitsa 3 * hotel from September 03 to September 10.2007 (8 days). I liked everything very much. We went from the Skyway tour operator. At Domodedovo Airport they gave us the whole package of documents, they told us to arrive at the airport by 5 in the morning, where they were already waiting for us. The plane was at 07.40 in the morning, flew by Vim-avia on a Boeing 757. It took only 2 hours and 10 minutes to fly to Bulgaria, so we didn’t notice how we were already at Varna Airport. We were met at the airport, the host was "Good Day" (Bulgarian tour operator), and in 40 minutes we arrived at our ELICA 3 * hotel on a comfortable bus. Very cute hotel. We were at the hotel at 10.40, and despite the early time (checkout time at 12 o'clock), the ready, cleaned room was waiting for us and we were immediately settled in our room (and we did not have to wait 12 or 13 hours, as in Turkey, until they will clean the room or ask money for a room at the reception, without settling tourists for a long time).
The furniture in the room is all new, despite the fact that the hotel is more than 20 years old, it was recently reconstructed, European-style renovation was done in all rooms, euro-windows, air conditioning, TV with Russian programs, shower. MINUS - that there is no hair dryer and the floor is tiled and not a single rug! The room was cleaned in the morning every day, towels are changed daily, bed linen is changed every 4 days. All the staff (maids, waiters and at the reception - everyone speaks Russian) are very polite, friendly, welcoming.
Vacationers are mostly Europeans - many Germans, there were also Bulgarians, French, Romanians and Italians, there were 4 Russian families for the whole hotel.

The beach is very clean, fine golden sand on the beach and in the sea without any stones. The depth in the sea increases gradually and you need to walk for a long time so that you are up to your neck. We didn't see any jellyfish or fish.
Throughout Bulgaria, the exchange rate is the same, and you can change money at the airport or at the hotel reception, which was very convenient. Euros and dollars are not accepted, so we exchanged all the money for Bulgarian levs, and if not enough, you can always change it at the reception of our Elitsa hotel.
We went on the breakfast dinner system and are very happy about this, because. along the entire beach there are many bars and restaurants with a beautiful view of the sea, as well as tents with souvenirs and various shops, and we went to these restaurants for lunch, because. of which there is a very beautiful view of the sea, a lot of greenery, different flowers around and it is very pleasant to eat there. A variety of meat dishes, salads, different types of pizzas, drinks, service at the highest level. There were themed days (the day of Bulgarian cuisine, Italian)
The hotel has a buffet for breakfast and dinner, a lot of various meat dishes, salads, buns, sweets, a lot of fruits: watermelons, nectarines, plums, blue and green grapes, apples, bananas, grapefruits, raspberries!! ! MINUS - for dinner, all drinks are paid, even simple mineral water is also paid.
Also, a lot of carts with horses ride around the city, on which you can ride - 30 minutes costs 40 lev. Many different interesting excursions, we decided to go on one "Balchik-Kaliakra" for 75 lev, I really liked it. We looked at the botanical garden with 2-meter cacti, the residence of the Romanian Queen Mary, were at Cape Kaliakra - a stunning view of the sea and rocks, stopped at a ceramics workshop and then dinner at a restaurant with a folklore program and dances on coals. I advise everyone to take this tour - you will not regret it.
As a result, we all liked to relax in Bulgaria, in Albena at the Elitsa hotel, that we want to come there again and again.
