New Year in fabulously beautiful Belgium
I was lucky to spend the New Year holidays in the most beautiful country in Europe - Belgium, namely in Brussels. There are a lot of impressions. What impresses me the most is the beautiful gothic cathedrals! This most beautiful medieval architecture is striking in its grandeur, and I cannot understand how in those distant times people could build such grandiose structures, reaching a height of up to 100 meters? The famous fountain "Meneken Piss" did not impress me very much. I expected to see something bigger. And there, in fact, there is a very small boy standing there and constantly pissing. And the whole souvenir market in Belgium is built on this attraction! What impressed me was the famous model of the atom, magnified millions of times, and the famous Mini Europe park located near this grandiose structure. All the brightest and most famous sights of Europe are presented there in miniature (about the height of a person). With great pleasure I wandered among these architectural creations, and I was left with the impression that I had seen the whole of Europe! What else struck me in Brussels was the impression that only people of Asian nationalities live there! I saw Europeans much less often than different Chinese, Pakistanis, Indians, etc. You go to any restaurant, cafe - everywhere the owners are Asians. Women in headscarves and veils walk around the city, it feels like you are in Egypt or Turkey! I also advise you to visit one of the 10 most beautiful cities in the world - BRUGES. Brussels is only 1 hour by train. We ourselves visited this doll city. It is called the Belgian "Venice". This city is located on many canals and 83 bridges are laid through them. Amazing place, especially for romantic walks! You can ride along the canals in a boat, you can take a team with horses and ride through the narrow streets with doll houses. This city gave me a lot of positive emotions! I also visited Antwerp and Ghent. They are also very beautiful cities. All cities have medieval architecture, so gothic and renaissance lovers will be delighted, just like me! As for the prices, I thought everything would be much more expensive! In the restaurant you can have a very good lunch for 10-15 euros, the portions are huge! You can safely take 1 dish for two. In general, who is thinking about whether it is worth visiting Belgium or not - there is only one answer: OF COURSE YES! I will answer any questions that will interest you! Have a good travel!
