There are still unusual cities!
I thought for a long time whether to describe these unusual places? Especially then there is nothing to write about, except for sheer delight, reaching a complete stupor. There are no words, only admiration. Just post a photo, not very interesting, and there are not many of them (consequences of stupor). I will try to convey the inexpressible in a few words. We arrived in Brussels early in the morning. There is no sun, but it is not cold, people will be honored, but not scary. The tour is disgusting. We were lucky - we were in Brussels with a more informative tour. A short run to the Grand Place and to the Mannekenpiece. Mannekenpis (pissing boy) in all its glory, that is, without a suit. There are shops with chocolate nearby and the audience quietly disappeared into the bowels of the chocolate kingdom. The body was categorically against chocolate. We just went to admire. As a result, in addition to souvenirs for relatives (a tin box with assorted chocolate and a Mannekenpiece on the lid 19 euros, it would have killed your companion) were: in one hand Belgian waffles with strawberries and chocolate 5.5 euros, root with strawberries in chocolate Godiva 6.5 euros and in a big jacket pocket 0.5 liter bottle of Creek cherry beer. The body is in a swoon. They hung out for a very long time near the monument to Don Quixote and Sacho Panza. The people did not want to leave the chocolate bowels. We finally made our way to Ghent. Well, what can I say, nothing to say, you can only admire. I really love cities. Cities made of stone, wood, sandstone. Cities with empty streets or streets in the rain. For me, it was just an emotional feast. I had no idea that there are places where time just stopped running. The tour guide talked a lot and was very interesting. Some I remember, some I don't. This is my first time in these places. The Cathedral of St. Bavo did not disappoint, although its towers are in the restoration scaffolding. Quite an interesting and majestic building. The famous "Sacred Lamb" altar is also quite intriguing (facsimile copies). There was no time to go down to the museum and see what is possible from the originals. Chic Trav and Grain Street, with a huge number of old buildings. An interesting old meat house - the outside is old, but inside there are quite modern shops and cafes. The Boffroy Tower and the cloth rows stand before our eyes and canals, canals. . . A short stop for souvenirs and before we can recover from Ghent and the stories about the loopers, we find ourselves in an even more awesome place - Bruges! The tour started from the Lake of Love with a huge number of white swans. It is believed that the disappearance of the swans will bring untold disaster to the city. Begin Monastery - peace and quiet. White curtains in the windows, not a single person and a field of yellow daffodils in bloom. What follows is just a kaleidoscope. I couldn't take a picture or listen. I just looked and looked and looked at this beauty. Church of St. Virgin Mary, St. Boniface Bridge. They even took pictures here. It's very beautiful! Embankment Street Daver would sit down and not move for several hours. Watchtower and Rosary Street, and of course Grenet Rey (Green Channel). Burg Square and of course the Market Square. Big enough. On the sides, the buildings replicated on postcards are the Watchtower, the provincial palace and the famous stepped buildings. The Basilica of the Pure Blood lurks in a corner. Beauty, well, just indescribable (can not describe). I didn't want to leave. Having bought a few more souvenirs, my companion and I did not go to any restaurants (there are more than enough offers, there are a lot of seafood), for the entire time of our travels, this is the first case (well, my companion has lunch strictly on schedule). We sat on a bench just on the square with french fries in a bag and just admired all this beauty. Then there was some beer. The sun was shining and I understood why the excursion was called the "Kingdom of the blue bird".
