Gold Coast is a wonderful place-resort in Australia on the Pacific Ocean. Brisbane Airport is about an hour drive from the hotel. Divided into three large resorts on the Gold Coast, this 18-story hotel is located in the center of Surfar's Paradise, which speaks for itself - a paradise for surfers. Very well located: although not the first line, but 100 meters from the ocean. Very close shopping streets with nice shops, many cafes and bars. Within walking distance of public transport stops for a trip to the center.
The hotel is modern, well maintained, with a fitness room and swimming pools. The room is ordinary, quite spacious, we had a side view of the ocean. The staff is very helpful, they will tell and show everything, you just need to know a little English. We took only breakfast, a very good buffet, there is even a children's menu
In general, there are only hotels around here, everyone has a common beach across the road. Come, lay a towel and sunbathe. Sun loungers and umbrellas are not accepted there, as much free space as you want. The main thing is to know the measure, the sun is extremely cruel. You can swim in the places limited by green flags, where a lifeguard sits next to the tower for your safety. Bathing is also different from the usual. You go into the water, catch a wave, jump for fun, but swimming is simply unrealistic.

During the five incomplete days of our vacation, we visited:
1. Currumbin Animal Park. Looks like a zoo - ride a train around the territory and get off at different stops. Many animals of Australia are represented, a large park area, watched the show of the natives. Nice place for a walk, interesting and close.
2. Dreamworld amusement park - we took the bus not far. There are many attractions, there is a water park (we did not have time to visit it in one day), a small zoo with rare animals.
3. Safari trip to Stradbroke Island - one of the largest subtropical sandy islands in Australia. You get to the island by ferry across the strait, traveled along difficult roads, saw exotic trees, koalas and kangaroos in the wild, sea turtles and whales, swam in the ocean on endless deserted beaches. Here the ocean is a little different, that you can swim. We took this tour as part of an English-speaking group, which greatly reduced our expenses, it is not necessary to understand a lot here.
Our trip took place in late February - early March, the weather was super! Of course, it makes no sense to fly so far just for the sake of a beach holiday, the trip itself is very long and expensive. The Gold Coast was our ultimate destination, a break after traveling to a great fairy tale. I want to go there again!
