Saalbach is a small town dedicated only to skiing (although there are many ski schools, but it's still difficult for beginners) or meetings in bars. There are no sights, you can get around the whole town in 1-1.5 hours up and down. You can go to neighboring towns, but keep in mind that buses run until about 20.00, i. e. return either by taxi (35-40 euros) or by car (rent it). With children, especially small ones, there is nowhere to go, only to teach them to ski and sleep at home, the slides for sleds promised by Tez Tour were not seen nearby and there are no ordinary playgrounds either .
Tez Tour is amazingly good at spoiling everything and just plain liars.
When choosing a tour, we were promised an early morning flight to Salzburg, as a result, as it was written in the previous review, we flew with parasails and got to the hotel in the evening. And back They promised a flight to Kyiv in the afternoon, but in the end we flew out only at 8.00 in the morning. Moreover, Tez Tour blamed its insolvency (did not recruit people for two flights and combined Kyiv and Dnepropetrovsk flights) on the airline, they say it changed everything...

The telephone information line, which, as written in the memo, should work around the clock, in the evenings and on Saturdays simply did not answer.

We had, as the company had a 2-year-old child and took it with us. Ski storage in the basement. The dining room is decent, from food for breakfast cuts of meat, sausages, cheese, boiled eggs, tomatoes, peppers, bread, rolls, pates, muesli, milk, yogurt, tea, coffee, mountains. chocolate, apples.

We were disappointed in skiing in Saalbach. We were unlucky with the weather, it was snowing all the time, the slopes were either opening or closing, we were at a time when the Alps were simply covered with snow. The sun was only one day on which sun loungers were set up at the top and you could sit sunbathing and ride comfortably. SKI CIRCUS is not what it looks like on the slopes map. Lots of dead ends, etc. The ski bus runs poorly, starting at 9 am and full. The worst thing is that the ski bus goes along the track and in the center of Saalbach the stop is the Schatberg Express lift - then got out, sat down and went up the mountain.
But if you want to climb the opposite slope, then you need to go to the lift in boots with skis on paving stones with snow or slush to the end of this main and only street. Practically only once we were able to climb the Schatberg Express to the top, we drove off to Longau for 7 km. On the track, we moved to another lift that took us to the opposite slope, all other times the schatberg either did not reach the top, or it snowed with the wind and we did not dare to leave in such weather, we were simply blown by the wind with snow back to the station. Without a helmet and goggles, you can't open your eyes. So now we don’t want to ride in Austria for a long time. In addition, the combination of price and quality is bad, ski passes and rentals are expensive. The slopes do not have time to waste, sometimes you notice that you are driving on virgin lands, there are many dangerous cliffs that are not fenced in any way. In short, skiing in Saalbach is not.
WHAT AFTER SKIING:
There are cafes, but they are defective. Space prices.
We went as early as two and did not discover anything for ourselves. This is not Zakopane with galonkas and Bansko with mechanics, there is a complete goljak here. Once we went to Zell am See, also a village, only from 5 streets + there is nothing to catch the lake, we walked for an hour and returned. Kum rented a car for 3 days in Zell am See, because in Salzburg everything was busy, despite the reservation in advance from home. Cooosmos rental prices are 2 times more expensive than expected at Mozart airport + deposit. One day devoted to shopping in Salzburg. In the evening we climbed up the mountain to the fortress of Hohen Salzburg with a beautiful view of the city in the evening.
