Rested with his wife in Austria from 10 to 17 March 2012. We started skiing for the first time, but a familiar tour operator persuaded me to go to Austria. Of course, the small price for the hotel was the main factor in the choice. But we weren't wrong. The hotel is small with only 33 rooms, but in Austria most of them are, since this is not a mass resort by the sea. Immediately upon arrival, the hotel surprised me with its cleanliness and comfort. At the entrance we were met by two kind fat dogs with all their appearance showing a surprisingly good and kind attitude towards tourists. A few minutes later, the hostess Frau Anna Gruber herself came up, a very sweet and sociable woman, she showed us everything in the hotel, gave the keys to the room and that's it. . . we settled. The only thing that hindered communication with Frau Anna was the language barrier, she speaks German and English, and we are ignoramuses in sign language only. But still, in principle, everything was perfectly understood. The hotel has free WiFi (bring a laptop). At the hotel, we only paid for breakfast, but the breakfast was pleasantly surprised by its variety, although the European breakfast is said to be very meager. Every morning we had boiled eggs, 4-5 types of cheese, the same amount of ham and sausages, red fish sliced ​ ​ according to my salmon, various jams, butter, warm crispy buns, very tasty bread, also 3-4 types, natural juices, for lovers of healthy eating muesli, yogurt, sliced ​ ​ fruits for dessert - pineapples, melon, kiwi, grapes, apples, even in some southern countries it happens less. The coffee is freshly brewed, but tea, unfortunately (but not for me) is only in bags, they drink it everywhere in Austria. The hotel is located 150 meters from the central lift as it is written in the description on the website. We ate in restaurants every evening, the prices are on average the same beer 3-5 euros, Wiener schnitzel with potatoes 11-17 euros, salads 4-10 euros, pizza 6-10 euros. Shops are mainly sports aimed at alpine skiing, so if you have thoughts of buying skis, snowboards or accessories, then it’s better at the resort prices are 1/3 less than Moscow prices. You can buy groceries at the hotel in supermarkets, in Zell am See there are two and , beer in stores from 30 cents to 1 euro, cheaper than in Russia and 100 times better. Skiing is possible in two places on Schmitten, this mountain in Zell am See, and on the Kirtzenhorn glacier in Kaprun (half an hour on a free bus). I liked it better on the glacier, the snow is better, since we were at the very end of the season. But still the slopes are very well maintained and the trails are for all levels of skiing from beginners like us to professionals and freeriders. We left at 5 am for the plane Frau Anna before that evening showed us that there would be coffee and sandwiches for breakfast in the kitchen, and put the keys to the room on the table in the hall, do not wake her up, such trust in the guests. In general, I really liked the rest in the mountains, although we traveled to Thailand all the time. I recommend this hotel to everyone, you will not regret it.
