Armenia, Yerevan
In Yerevan, we stayed at the Marriot Hotel, it is cozy, calm, beautiful. We arrived at almost 12 at night (with Ukraine, the time difference is 2 hours), the central square is all illuminated, the beauty is incredible! Every evening there are singing fountains on this square. Further from the center of Yerevan, everything is a bit like a "scoop", but I think the city will change in a couple of years. The monument "Mother-Armenia" painfully resembles our "Motherland" in Kyiv.
The valley of Ararat leaves a strong impression, and since the weather was good, it was possible to see the snowy peak of Mount Ararat, sacred for Armenians, during the day. When you look at the valley, you don’t even want to talk, it’s so mesmerizing and will take your breath away.
It is worth going to see Garni and Geghard, two sights are located almost nearby. Ancient pagan temple and ancient Christian, cave. It’s a pity that we couldn’t get to Lake Sevan, they say it’s worth a visit - it’s very beautiful.
Separately, I want to say about the arrival in Yerevan: from our group, 8 suitcases were overwhelmed, and on one of them the lock was bitten off!!!!!! (Together with the ears: ) to which he clung), this of course immediately spoiled the first impression.
You can pay in shops only with the local currency - drams.
