Don't go here good people
You are not welcome here

We were on vacation in this hotel from August 17 – June 26, the only thing that was normal in this hotel was the food, everything else was a complete nightmare - from the attitude of the staff to the condition of the hotel itself. From the beginning of the trip, we were met by an accompanying person who said that he was “glad that there is war in Ukraine” - this is generally unacceptable. He was also a guide, the guide gave us an advertisement and did not appear until the end of the holiday; he was not at all interested in whether we were comfortable in the hotel or whether we had any problems.
The room they tried to put us in was terrible, I’m adding a photo to the publication, the renovation was moldy, the shower and toilet were beaten up, there was no safe, there was only one card to enter the room. When we started sending photos to Join up, we were quickly moved to another room. True, there was no safe in that room for two more days. I had to go to the reception and ask. That’s why we went to the beach with valuables for two days.
The hotel has a bridge to cross to the beach, the bridge itself is iron - it does not have any mats, so as not to fall on a wet foot, it is very slippery. It's easy to slip. When we checked into the hotel, we were dropped off downstairs by the sea - there was no staff who could lift our luggage to the hotel. Two women had to lift it up the mountain on their own. The hotel description states that the beach is sandy on all sites, but it is pebbly and you can easily cut your foot. That's why we didn't take corrals, but we had to. The beach is poorly cleaned of debris and algae. It was not always possible to swim in clear seas. Sometimes bottles and even condoms floated in the sea. All inclusive here is only nominal - if you want to get ice cream on the beach - it is paid, free only at the bar and three times frozen and not tasty. Although the description says that the beach is private from the hotel - strangers relax on it - things can easily be stolen or people sit in your place.
When handing in a towel, be careful - you may not get your deposit back.
20 euros - then the next day they can be asked again as if nothing had happened. In the evening the hotel is boring, no animation, no live music, nothing...The hotel doesn't even have a pedestrian zone...only a part of the territory is tiled. The nearest Vlora is 11 km away - one-way transfer costs 10 euros per person. You can drive up to the fish store. There are no shops, as we are used to seeing in other hotels. You can't buy basic necessities and medicine. The towels are used and very worn. And if you don’t interrogate them in the afternoon, they simply won’t give you away. Cocktails and juices look like yuppie mixed with paint. The wooden sun loungers are old, like in Soviet times. The worst thing is not even this - but the attitude towards Ukrainians as second class, towards tourists from other countries and the best treatment, accommodation in rooms and general attitude.

When paying for a room with a sea view, we got a room with a view of the garbage can and transformers that buzz all night. At the reception they promised to change the room in 2 days, but after 2 days it turned out that they do not remember what they promised. The girls were frankly rude, and when I filmed it all, they promised to smash the phone and sent me far away in Albanian. The room is clean, but there are no shelves, no hooks for towels, no toilet paper holder in the bathroom. The sunbeds on the beach are very old, the mattresses are torn. The tables at the beach bar made of wooden pallets are covered in dirt, no one has cleaned under them for at least a year and the place has turned into a trash can. Breakfast is good but monotonous. The sea is warm and clean. I strongly do not recommend this hotel. Such places spoil the whole idea of the country (((

As soon as you cross the threshold of the hotel, you immediately understand that the staff at the reception is not friendly. In a word, boorish! They don't value their customers. In a word, boorish! They don't value their customers. Better not to contact them at all. Standard hotel rooms are disgusting. It stinks of dampness, spiders on the walls, a permanently forgotten drain. Breakfast is ok but repetitive. For 8 days of stay in the hotel only 2 times put water in the room. Every day you have to go to the reception and beg for water supply. Only after that the staff at the reception will make a dissatisfied face and possibly supply water, but only today. And tomorrow I'll have to go and beg again. Very similar breakfasts. The beach is good, but the sea is full of seaweed. It's hard to find a place to swim. There are no changing rooms and no toilets. Also there are no ATMs and terminals. I strongly do not recommend choosing this hotel.

Reception - horror, they just are everything. The biggest outrage was that we were not allowed to take water, because it is paid here, only for breakfast in a glass. I'm here with a child, that is, we need to go 1.5 km to the store to buy water. Lack of iron)))) (even for money) everyone is shocked by this. … More ▾ Reception - horror, they just are everything.

Very dirty beach, with cigarette butts ...by the way, there are no dumps on the beach.
And still, too damp numbers, dampness is perceptible absolutely round, here ventilation as though is, but in fact is not present. . .

We stayed at the Regina Blu Hotel in September 2020. We booked a room with a view and the travel agent wrote about it in the cover letter. We had a late check in (around 23:00). We booked a room with a view and the travel agent wrote about it in the cover letter. We had a late check in (around 23:00). We were quickly given the key to the room, nothing was explained about breakfast and wi-fi. We got a very strange room: with a view of the mountain and the garbage dump behind the hotel, with wires that hung almost over your balcony. The room almost does not get the sun because of the mountain, which rests on the hotel.

But the view from the room is only half the trouble. There was no hot water in the room during the day (at that time the water was warmer in the sea). There were no hangers in the closet, the balcony latch did not work well (I even cut my hand when I closed it). In general, the room looked like it hadn't been completed in time, but they decided to rent it out to tourists.
We contacted the reception several times, talked with the travel agent and the host, and a day later we got the room we had hoped for from the very beginning - with a normal view, a balcony, hangers, an armchair in the room, toothbrushes (nothing like this was observed in the first room). We really had the feeling that we had moved to another hotel. Compare photos!

And then we rested in the hotel about which you all read reviews: with a great view, comfortable rooms with good furniture, with a private beach.

Undoubted advantages of the hotel
The hotel is located on the coast of the Ionian Sea. Why is it cool? This means that there is blue clear water and beautiful nature. The hotel offers an excellent view of the Karaburun Peninsula, Sazan Island, the views from the hotel's beach are simply gorgeous. The beach has sunbeds and umbrellas. Everything is free, there are mattresses on sunbeds.
The entrance to the water is comfortable, not counting the pebbles (but you just need to be ready for this and with the appropriate shoes or endurance : ))

Large numbers. The room has enough space, new furniture, a good bed with an excellent mattress. Sleep like at home. The linen is fresh, clean and new. The room has a large bathroom with shower, bidet, large sink. Excellent working air conditioner.

The hotel has a very Instagrammable pool overlooking the sea, a good bar where you can pay with a card (which is very rare for Albania). In the restaurant you can order pizza no worse than in Italy and good cocktails.

Breakfasts
The hotel has an ordinary, but very monotonous breakfast. For 9 nights we did not notice any changes. But in general, you can choose what to eat. There are sausages, ham, cheeses, fruits, pastries, coffee, tea, muesli.

cool bonus
Near the hotel there is an excellent fish market-restaurant where you can cook the most super-duper fresh fish and seafood on the coals (you directly choose from the fresh fish that you fry). People go to this restaurant from many kilometers. So you're in luck! And the prices for seafood are a third lower than in ordinary cafes.

Obvious cons
This hotel used to be a 3 star hotel and has been upgraded to a 5 star hotel. But let's be honest, these are honest 4-4+ (and somewhere even 3). The hotel has problems with the staff at the reception (as a rule, they just promise something and do not fulfill it). And they pretend they can't help.

Towels for the beach are issued only from 11 am. Given the heat in Albania, at this time, many are already fleeing from the beach.

Hot water problems. It is difficult to say for the whole hotel, but on the 6th floor it is clearly felt, the water in the shower is, to put it mildly, cool and almost does not heat up.
On the 3rd floor, where we were moved, there were no problems with water.

Very strange room cleaning time - at 2pm. At this time, many are already resting in the room, as it is hot outside. And every day at this time they came to us with cleaning. But cleaned clean and tidy, no complaints.

The main thing to remember is that the hotel has a decent number of rooms with a completely ugly view and service. And they have to rent them out at a super-low price, because it's definitely not 5 stars. In general, when booking a room, focus on the location of the room and request relocation. On the 6th floor, hot water is bad, so it should also be avoided.

Regina Blu was one of the few 5* hotels offered. When choosing a hotel room, I spoke with the tour operator about the options described on the Join Up website. The tour operator assured me that the description of the room and the hotel match 100%! Of course, we chose a room with a sea view, which is important, no additional payment was required. Like, in the hotel all the rooms have a sea view. . .
After looking at the beautiful photos of the hotel and being in anticipation of a wonderful holiday, we arrived at the hotel. The first thing that surprised me was the clarification of relations at the reception desk (tourists with the administrator). It was our turn, we took the keys to the room and retreated. Entering the room, we had a shock, because instead of a view of the sea, we got a sad view of the wall, under which someone's dirty linen, cigarette butts, and other rubbish flaunted very eloquently. It was also noticeably damp and dark in the room. . . After numerous negotiations with the tour operator Farvater and Aler, we were convinced that no one was going to solve this problem, we went to the reception. To all our requests and persuasion to pay extra for a room with the expected view, we were gently sent home, citing the fact that there are no free rooms. But they were!
Personally, my holiday was very spoiled in the first 20 minutes of my stay at the hotel. Further more)) C - service!! ! I think they haven't heard of him in Albania yet. . . We didn't wait for the dryer from the hotel administrator, we took it ourselves in the next room when he was free. Towels on the beach were rarely changed, and it was a whole "Catch the first clean towel" relay race. Lunch boxes for an early check-out are a shame... The equipment of the room is not true: there is no kettle, safe, mini-bar, no dryer. The phone and extractor did not work. Dirty by the pool, dirty on the beach. There is also a relay race with sunbeds)) The brave people managed to "capture" sunbeds from the evening, spreading their linen on them or tying towel-flags. . .
Options "fishing", "SPA", currency exchange for the first time I hear. We rented a car from the hotel. . . I do not recommend it, they will give you an old car that does not always work properly. Regarding "payment by card", yes, but only from the amount of 500 lek and more. or cash)
Conclusion: I do not recommend the hotel, unless you like "surprises".
