I express my special gratitude to Premio Travel for organizing the Lycia tour, for a warm welcome, for a comfortable bus and an experienced driver, he merged with the bus, with the road, it was reliable with him in any road conditions. I sincerely thank the guide for his professionalism, patience and understanding. Aykhan - our guide is competent, erudite, knows how to organize even though we are all different and from different places, he answered our questions on the topic and off topic with love and patience and gentle humor. During the week spent on Turkish soil, we managed to visit the church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker, my most beloved saint, despite its very ancient age, the church has perfectly preserved wall frescoes and paintings of the 11th and 12th centuries, which give the room a completely unusual look.
The ancient city of Ephesus is an ancient city. It is here that the grandeur of the cultural and historical heritage of both Turkey and the rest of the world is still felt.
There are so many attractions in this city, the temple of the emperor of the Roman Empire Hadrian, the fountain of Troyan, the temple of the god of fertility Sirapis, the library of Celsus, and the temple of Artemis, ranked among the seven wonders of the world.
But most of all I was impressed by the House-chapel of the Virgin Mary, here, more than ever, I felt peace and tranquility in my soul. Going inside the house, I remembered one prayer:
Mira Intercessor, Mother of all singing,
I am before You with a prayer:
Poor sinner, dressed in darkness,
You cover with grace.
If trials befall me,
Sorrow, loss, enemies, -
In a difficult hour of life, in a moment of suffering,
You help me, please.
Spiritual joy, thirst for salvation
Put in my heart;
To the kingdom of heaven, to the world of consolation
Show me the straight path.
Pamukkale - "Cotton Castle", which surprisingly corresponds to the local unusual and truly exotic natural landscape.
Water from thermal springs, enriched with calcium, flowing down the mountainside for many centuries and falling from high ledges with many bizarre waterfalls, formed petrified dazzling white cascades, terraces and small pools shimmering in the sun.
In Turkey they say: "He who has not seen Pamukkale has not seen Turkey."
Of course, we have visited many more wonderful places, but if I describe all of them, even 10 pages will not be enough. And finally, here are the verses:
Oh, Turkey - a country of roses!
With sea freshness of the surf.
You conquer the kingdom of dreams
And I rest here with you.
Your night cool
You let me enjoy.
Here shines the moon in the sky
And it's impossible not to fall in love.
