Almost ruined my holiday

I chose the tour myself on the site. Booked and missed online. The only question to the travel agent was about covid certificates. Is a Ukrainian vaccination certificate enough to enter the country and did other tourists have problems with entry? I was told "oh, we don't know". As a result, they did a test for reinsurance, but it turned out that the certificate was enough.

I booked everything more than a month in advance, and a few days before departure, they called me from the agency and said that due to the bad reviews of tourists about our hotel, we cannot go there. And they offered to replace some kind of 4-star hotel and then a 3-star hotel in general. We were already thinking about taking the money and buying a tour from another company, and then we found a normal replacement.

Then another message came that you need to check in for the flight yourself, but it turned out that this was not the case and it was not clear why this message was at all.

In general, the impression was very bad, very unprofessional approach. Almost ruined our vacation and made us nervous
