Do not buy an excursion to Jerusalem!

I want to tell you about the tour operator Annex Tour. This summer, my husband and I went on vacation to Egypt in Sharm El Sheikh, the hotel was chosen by Rehana Royal Beach Resort & Spa, as it suited us for the price of 5-star hotels.

The flight was normal, we arrived at the hotel at 10.00, and check-in at 14.00 (we were warned about this: check-out at 12.00, check-in at 14.00). We paid and were seated within an hour.

On the second day, a guide gathered us and began to talk about excursions. He said that if you buy a tour through other companies, they are not responsible for us. We chose where to go very quickly, as we planned to go to Jerusalem in advance - the price is $ 130 per person. And we also chose diving - the price is $ 50. The total amount is 360 $. We were also given tickets for a shopping tour, a disco Hard Rock Cafe, a museum for free (this made us happy, although not for long).

We went on a shopping tour - initially we were taken to Nefertiti - natural oils and perfumes. I bought myself grape seed oil, as I have wanted it for a long time. Sold at a discount. (although still expensive - $ 15, 60 ml). Now I use it, the quality is satisfied. Then we were brought to the gift shop, since it was the first shop, we did not know what the prices were, bought a small figurine for $15 and a set of magnets for $6, and 4 small papyri for $13 (with a $3 discount). The next day we went to the hotel shop - I was very surprised when I saw the same figurine for $ 5, magnets are also cheaper by $ 1. There are many shops near the hotel, everything is also cheaper there: a papyrus of this size is only $ 2 for one, not $ 4, they bought 2 more pieces more there. I RECOMMEND DO NOT GO ON A SHOPPING TOUR, as the prices there are sky-high.

The next diving excursion, I liked everything there, it was unforgettable, we took a photo under water, the photographer wanted $ 40 for two, but we bargained for a long time and bought for $ 20. The sea is incomparable. We even saw a tiger shark.

According to the plan, we had the long-awaited Jerusalem, the excursion for the birthday of a loved one just fell. We left the hotel around 19.00, drove around the hotels for people. The road was about 3.5 hours. The guide told us in bad Russian and at a very fast pace (I could not understand him at all, only some words) about passport control in Israel, that they can ask different questions, with whom they came, where is dad, mom, etc. We arrived at the border and a nightmare began, long lines, they were quickly released from Egypt, then we walked another 5 minutes, and Israeli passport control began. They asked me who I came with, I told my husband, they asked him to show him and they took our passports. They asked me to wait, I was scared, but when I saw that another 15 people were waiting, it became easier. We sat for about an hour until they called me to their office, and began to ask who I work with, with whom I came, why I was going to Jerusalem. Then they called my husband with the same questions. We sat for about an hour. Some of them were called again, gave their passports and said, “Have a good rest.” We weren't called. We began to communicate with people, it turned out that everyone was from Ukraine, who was not immediately let through, only one man was from Georgia. An hour later, 5 people left. One was then missed. They called me and said that they wouldn’t let me in, I asked for what reason, I was told to contact the embassy for all questions, my husband was also not allowed in and two more from another tour operator. A representative of Israel came up with the Annex Tour, and said that we should go back, some man (forgot his name) will be waiting for us there, he will guide you and go back by taxi. There were tears in my eyes. We were still waiting for about 40 minutes for a passport. Around 6 am we got our passports back and began to return to the border of Egypt. This man met us there, helped us find our entry cards and called a taxi, which cost $75. We drove for a long time, we were at the hotel at 11.00.

We immediately went to those representatives from the annex tour who sold us the tour. They did not want to return the money, they said come in the evening, we will figure it out. We did not sleep all night, we came to the room and immediately went to sleep, woke up in the evening and went straight to the Annex Tour. With a big scandal, we were returned $ 130 (50% of the cost).

The workers are boorish, shouting, they don’t know how to communicate at all, how could such people be hired at all. Not counting that we also spent on a taxi. We also called the hotline, where we were told that they could not do anything.

We will never choose an annex tour for travel again.

People who are from Ukraine, think about whether it is worth going on an excursion to Jerusalem, since going through the border with passport control is torture, and it’s not a fact that they will let you through.

We talked with the guys we knew from Moscow, who were then let through without problems, they liked it, but they were very tired, everything was very fast, there were long queues, they arrived tired, but they liked it. I think we liked it if they let us through.

If we had been warned in advance that there might be such problems, we would not have gone.

The rest of the excursions that remained, the disco and the museum (free of charge), they no longer went on.
