Group tour to Meora from Pieria.
1. Departure at 7 am.
2. Collection of tourists in a bus for 50 people at hotels in the region for 1.5 hours.
3. Driving through the boring plains of Greece 3 hours.
4. Mandatory-forced shopping in the icon store for 1 hour with inflated prices.
5. Sami Meteora: 2 monasteries, 2 hours.
6. Lunch 1 hour.
7. Way back 3 hours.
8. Delivery to hotels in the region 1.5 hours.
Total: with a short distance from the sights of Meteora from Pieria, Mouzenidis tried to make this tour lasting 12 hours. The guide's story was uninteresting, with dry facts, without fascinating facts about shrines.
1. Of the resorts of Platamonas, Neo Pori is the most convenient place for a group excursion - they pick up everyone later and drop them off before everyone else. Time saving 3 hours compared to Paralia.
2. Buying icons in the store from Mouzenidis is more expensive than in the meteor monasteries themselves.
3. The guide may not always be fascinated by history.
If there is an opportunity to buy a tour from someone else - buy it. I would do that next time.
