This is an appeal from the site of the so-called professionals. In fact, communication with the company left a lot of negative emotions.
Initially, at the time of our determination with the choice of the country, distorted information about Cuba and Mexico was issued. But it became clear already in Havana.
Why did the great professional not know the elementary?
Maybe because Cuba belongs to the Caribbean, and Mexico to North or so-called Central America??.
A sad excuse, but blooper followed blooper.
1. An incorrect invoice was issued for the payment of the “Coffee Color” tour services. Even after our call to clarify whether everything is so, we were assured that yes, and there would be no changes.
As a result, closer to the payment itself, the bill increased. Forgot to count an extra night in Havana after the end of the tour and two individual transfers.
Like, Cubans are late all the time, you may not have time to get from the island of Cayo Santa Maria to the airport. Lose your ticket. As a result, the circus left, and I stayed. A person who bought a tour from more conscientious intermediaries managed everywhere and happily flew to Kyiv on the same day. We had to return from the airport to the city, check into a hotel in order to check out of it in the morning and go back. Such a maneuver cost us $ 180 more, not counting the food, which we also had to organize on our own. And in general, as practice has shown, Cubans are NOT LATE even for an unscheduled party, not like at the airport. Otherwise, they will simply lose their jobs. And working in tourism in Cuba is not the last thing.
2. The collision with an extra night in Havana arose not only from the perspective of Latina Travel's incompetence regarding the "careless Cubans", but also in terms of unexpected and harsh rudeness to the client. In the program received before departure, this night in Havana was listed under the code AI (all inclusive) and an incomprehensible CP. I immediately asked the director of the company, Yuri Kulikovsky, what this meant. He replied that it was a mistake. "all inclusive" is actually half board, and the SR will be removed as unnecessary. And even personally sent a corrected version of the program.
On the spot, it turned out that SR is a continental plan, breakfast only (strange, because it is more usual in this case, BB). We called Kyiv and asked to change the voucher, adding the promised half board there. And then came the answer that those who did not pay for it, respectively, will receive nothing. We, of course, were taken aback, why couldn’t this be reported at home, because this issue was discussed? And then "Ostap suffered." Mr. Kulikovsky announced in an ultimatum that, having paid $5,000 for the entire tour, we can assume that we did not pay anything: “I did not charge you anything for insurance (200 UAH). And so he did everything, as in a charitable foundation ... ". And all because the price of a trip in January increased by $ 600 for two, and we paid at the price indicated on the company's website in December - the moment of reservation.
3. We booked the most expensive hotels listed in the tour list, knowing that in Cuba it is better not to trifle with the stars. As a result, in Trinidad, instead of a decent 4 *
A dead Soviet 3* box that survived some kind of bombing: a gaping elevator shaft, doors lagging behind the wall in a closed version, incomprehensible insects in the room, plumbing from the middle of the last century and heaps of garbage in the corridors. This masterpiece barely pulls even 2 *. The question to Latina Travel, where did the paid 4 * go, ended with a reference to the same "charity" as in the paragraph above, as well as a reservation that we paid money for the trip in early January 2012, 10 days in the purchased 4 * Trisas Trinidad del Mar was no longer there. This was the final boiling point. After all, it was at the insistent request of director Yuri Kulikovsky that we did not pay in December. At first, until the Cubans confirmed the tour, he refused to accept at least the initial payment, and then, when there was little time left until the end of the year, he frankly asked not to pay at the end of 2011, but to do it in the new year. After all, otherwise the company would have to pay taxes on these earnings. And for us, what's the difference, because everything is booked and everything is in force!
Needless to say, due to the current situation, more than $20 was spent on correspondence and calls to Ukraine. Unpleasant emotions in this case are not charged.
We warned Mr. Kulikovsky that his ability to communicate with clients would become public knowledge. He immediately found that he would immediately make a deputy inquiry regarding the author of these lines. I wonder what he will indicate as the main leitmotif of the appeal of the “servant of the people”? Maybe their incompetence and rudeness? Everyone can make mistakes, but not so often and frankly, calling themselves professionals along the way. That is why we advise you to leave Latina Travel behind the scenes. DO NOT CONTACT THEM, BECAUSE THERE IS ALWAYS THE POSSIBILITY OF CHOICE.
And, nevertheless, our vacation was a success, thanks to the remarkable efforts of the Cuban side. The host company "Havana Tour" in the face of the guide and driver who worked with our group, showed itself perfectly. Honor and praise to people who do their job worthily.
