Just returned with friends from the tour "Christmas magic of Podolia" from the Navigator. Many thanks to the company for the constant replenishment of the list of proposed tours with interesting novelties! We travel a lot and have been to the Carpathians, Lviv and Transcarpathia more than once, so we were very happy to have the opportunity to celebrate Christmas in the capital of Western Podolia - Ternopil, enjoy the beauty of the castles in Kamianets-Podilsky and Zbarazh, and also visit such holy places as: Pochaevskaya Lavra, the Holy Spirit Skete and the Mari Spiritual Center in Zarvanitsa.
Thanks to our guide, Panya Oksana (a very sincere woman), who constantly told us where and how to go, we managed to see a large number of shrines, drink holy water from many sources and hear a huge number of interesting facts and stories about the places we saw, and also in the colorful Podolsky dialect of the Ukrainian language!
As for accommodation, we lived in Ternopil in the hotel "Galicia 3 *". Quite normal rooms, everything is clean and everything you need is there. A very beautiful view from the window opens on the Ternopil Lake, especially in the evening. We were taken to eat in a small cafe "Forum", everything is very tasty and enough to eat, albeit without any special frills. We also had our Christmas party there. Each of us was able to participate in Christmas ceremonies, taste national traditional dishes and hear a lot of Ukrainian carols performed by a children's nativity scene!
Ternopil itself is a small town, you can get around the entire center in a day, but the impression is quite pleasant. In general, I liked the tour very much, only because of the busy excursion I had to get up very early every day and return right in the evening, when there was no strength left for rest and evening walks around the city. Therefore, it would not hurt to add 1-2 free days to the program. And so everything is fine, thanks again to the Navigator for the good organization of the tour and a bunch of unforgettable impressions!
