Traveled in the summer of 2011 with a friend to Ibiza through the travel agency Hispatour (Ispatour).
We literally had two or three weeks to get it done. In this regard, the agency did everything quickly.
When looking for a hotel, there was an agreement with them that there would be two separate beds, otherwise I already had precedents. It seems like the condition is quite simple. Since they were issued quickly, the voucher to the hotel was issued the day before departure. And then I see that the voucher says “One or two beds”. Naturally, I was outraged. To which I was assured that I had nothing to worry about and everything would be fine. Plus, they teased about it. Well, let's believe.
We flew there, check in at the hotel, and they give us a room with one bed, and even with one and a half, where it’s difficult for two to fit in. At the reception they said that there were no other rooms, but in a neighboring hotel with a surcharge of 60 euros, we might be able to take a room with two beds, but only the next day. Plus, this is not 100%, you still need to come the next day at the reception at 9 am. Let me remind you that it was Saturday, and even night, that is, there was no way to contact the travel agency. The next day we were moved.
Upon arrival, I gently asked for a refund of 60 euros, as the promise had been broken. I did not find the person who arranged for me in the travel agency. And I was told that I was not promised anything. But they did make a copy of the receipt for 60 euros and said they would find out what could be done. A month later, they said that after a long correspondence, the hotel agreed to transfer 60 euros to my account. I don't have a euro account. And I don’t see the point of opening it specifically for this case, it can cost even more. The agency said that it could not give the money, and the hotel agreed to transfer the money only to me personally.
As a result, the money was not returned to me, I will not become poorer for 60 euros. Our family and our friends travel a lot around the world. But we are unlikely to travel through this travel agency and are unlikely to recommend it to anyone.
