Tour "Viva Italiy" from May 19 to May 30, 2012

So! We start the journey. Who cares...follow me!

Having visited Italy, you will surely agree with Gogol's opinion: “Whoever was in Italy will say “forgive” to other countries. Whoever was in heaven will not want to come to earth!” Going on a trip to Europe, it is simply impossible to ignore Italy. This unique country combines everything that can be interesting. Here you saw magnificent natural landscapes, and unique architecture, and the richest cultural heritage, and exquisite national cuisine and wines.

Our itinerary: Hungary (Budapest) - Slovenia (Ljubljana - Nagykanizsa) - Italy (Treviso - Trieste - Verona - Pisa - Padua - Calentano - Florence - San Gimignano - Siena - Panekale - Rome - Vatican - Trasimene Lake - Venice) - Slovenia (Lendava)-Chop (Ukraine).

We calmly and beautifully pass the border (ours and Hungarian) and go in transit through Hungary to Budapest. A short stop and then Slovenia (Ljubljana). There is a tour of the city, beautiful and calm, and we go to the hotel in the town of Nagykanizsa. We spend the night, and in the morning, having breakfast, we pass even more calmly and even more beautifully the so-called space (the border between Slovenia and Italy). There is just a sign (like a road sign) and that's it! We are in ITALY!

The first city and hotel in the city of Treviso. Then we move to Trieste and he met us with cloudy weather and heavy rain, but this did not become less beautiful and attractive, as we were driving along the coast of the Adriatic Sea. Here we first touched the historical past of Italian cities. After Trieste, we were met by sunny Verona (we are there for the third time) and my husband and I went to wander around the shops and streets of the city, went inside the famous Arena, took pictures and went to eat pizza in the cafe that had already become “ours”. We were served as always by a girl from Lviv (she lives and works there for a long time). We took two pizzas, a glass of Coca-Cola and a glass of beer. Pizza with mushrooms you will lick your fingers.

Then Pisa was waiting for us with its Field of Miracles and a leaning tower! This is a delight for children and adults combined! Ahead of us was the beautiful Florence.

And the real miracle began! Cathedrals, basilicas, squares with sculptures of famous Italian masters, ancient bridges and museums, a parade of ancient costumes. Tired but satisfied, we arrived at a hotel near Florence, where we spent two days. By the way, all the hotels were excellent and the organization was top notch.

We have traveled for the third time with a guide from the Kiev company "INCOMARTUR-93", so, further ... The hotel is located in the mountainous Italian city of Calentano. Then there was San Gimignano - a city of hundreds of medieval towers (although at the moment there are four of them left). I liked this small town with its way of life, cheap prices for goods and beautiful old streets. Further our road lay in the city of Siena. I could not even imagine how beautiful and old-fashioned he is, no, not so, old and beautiful. When you enter the cathedral (or church, there are mostly Catholics), you just find yourself in a real museum with classical works of art. Siena Cathedral, dedicated to the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, was erected in the XII-XIV centuries.

Inside the cathedral, special attention deserves its unique marble floor, which is covered with 56 images of religious symbols and biblical scenes. .The cathedral had to match the strength and wealth of the city itself. The façade, dominated by white and black, is a mixture of Romanesque and Gothic styles. The floor is decorated with drawings with mosaics and marble. In it we saw four statues by Michelangelo and a bronze statue of St. John the Baptist by Donatello. The pulpit of the cathedral is magnificent - the work of Nicola Pisano, decorated with biblical scenes. And they made me wear a cape. Shoulders must be covered and men in shorts are not allowed to enter. Like this!

We visited the famous Piazza del Campo. City square. Twice a year, on July 2 and August 16, Palio unfolds on the square - the famous races, for which all 17 contrades (quarters) of Siena are carefully prepared all year round. We ate ice cream, by the way it was very tasty and moved to ROME! In the evening we arrived at the hotel, which was called "Consul", was located in a residential area of Rome and a 15-minute walk from the metro. The center is 20 minutes by metro. My husband and I took a shower, ate and went to explore. watch evening Rome. And we succeeded the first time! we arrived at the famous Trevi Fountain, took some pictures, met our group and returned to the hotel with them late in the evening.

In the morning we had a tour of Rome. Going on a trip to Italy, I wanted to touch the Beautiful and Eternal, what this land is so rich in, which has become the cradle of European culture. From the time of ancient Rome, the Forum and the Capitol, the ruins of the Colosseum and the Trojan Column have come down to us! From the Italian Renaissance we inherited cathedrals, basilicas and churches with frescoes and altarpieces by the world's greatest masters! Outstanding palaces and museums with masterpieces by Michelangelo, Raphael, Donatello, Titian, Botticelli! The Spanish Steps in Rome, the Pantheon (Temple to All Gods), the Building of Justice, the Spanish Square with the Cathedral of St. Catherine and we saw all this with our own eyes !!! But is it possible to count everything that you met in Rome?

On the evening of the second day, a surprise awaited us: a visit to a restaurant where an Italian tenor sang for us. That was great. Delicious food and wine, wonderful Italian music in "live" performance. To be honest, we were more than satisfied.

In the morning we were expected or we were expecting a meeting with the Vatican (the smallest state within the state). The Vatican struck with its grandeur, the beauty of the halls and just some kind of atmosphere of calm or something. So much beauty in one place. Indescribable. And of course the Sistine Chapel with frescoes of the famous "Last Judgment" by Michelangelo Botticelli. Where not only was it forbidden to take pictures, but also to breathe through time. And as an appetizer, so to speak, on the square of St. Peter and Paul we were greeted (and of course the whole Italian people) by the Pope. That's luck! To see with your own eyes all this celebration, a holiday.

In the morning, our path lay in small Italian cities: Panicale, Padua, Lake Trasimene. Delicious coffee, the old atmosphere of the towns, like a Roman performance in the theater, the beauty of Lake Trasimene, the Cathedral of St. Anthony in Padua - what else do you need for the tourists that we were? Another hotel in Padua, where we forgot the entire shower set (so we’ll be back), the last night in Italy and ... the beautiful bride - Venice, meeting us with sultry heat and bright sun and no less famous Piazza San Marco. From the mainland we are on a boat (as always) for the third time, but this did not make the beauty of Venice worse, we moved to the island part and went to wander through the quiet streets of this beautiful and fabulous city. We sat in a cafe, ordered spaghetti with porcini mushrooms and sea crawfish meat, Coca-Cola with ice and lemon, a meat chop, slightly underdone, and a glass of beer for my husband. We wandered through numerous shops, bought a bunch of gifts for relatives and friends and recovered again on the boat and on our already beloved bus with professional drivers, a guide Sergey Smyslov who knows his business.

So what? On the road again...Italy was left behind, and Slovenia was waiting for us again, with its truly magnificent hotel "Lipa" in the city of Lendava, with beautiful rooms and a thermal pool. True, we had little time to feel all the delights of the thermal waters of Slovenia, and early in the morning we set off again, but closer and closer to our native penates. Passing Hungary with its majestic Budapest

very quickly, without getting stuck in traffic jams, since the Hungarians had some kind of national holiday and they did not work, without even stopping at TESCO for the same reasons, we found ourselves at the border, passed it quickly and here it is ... Motherland .. Ukraine ... Border ... The border guards and customs officers greeted us with smiles (honestly) and let us go home with blessing. Chop. Railway station. The last hours with the group (by the way, we have not met the best group yet) and now 00.10 ... Train ... Night ... Kyiv ... Train ... Night ... Lugansk !!! Hooray! Houses!!! That's all... That's all for now!!!

Inspired by travel.

Viva, Italy!

"Bonjourno" in a sunny country

Sounds like a bird song.

And the world of Italy from outside

I'm dreaming!

And Rome as a symbol of beauty

Worth it for centuries.

We are now almost on "you"

And his spirit is with us.

Venice is a beautiful bride

She is like a fairy tale in childhood.

It has enough space for everyone.

Its symbol is masks.

Everything is saturated with love in Verona,

The story of Romeo and Juliet is eternal.

And the knights, and in the pony park,

Here you understand - life is so fleeting.

And the leaning tower in Pisa?

Trust me, it will take your breath away.

And even the Pope in a robe,

From admiration, he did not immediately speak!

But the Vatican struck us with grandeur,

And captivated by beauty, of course.

Not an optical illusion at all.

Stands, stood and will live forever!

05/28/2012 On the bus while driving home.

Dedicated to Italian words...

Madam, senora, senorita

Words are pleasing to the ear.

Irene, Svetlana, Margarita-

They have an Italian spirit!

Bonjour señor, arevederche…

And so the whole day.

How will you spend the evening?

Words are not too lazy to pronounce.

Oh, ciao, senorita!

Bonjour, bambino!

Who are you angry with?

Don't pass by.

How wonderful to hear: "Grazio, madam!"

And “before, tell me” is not superfluous at all.

To hear them again, words are superfluous.

Paste, rizzoto, birr...

How delicious to feel on the tongue

The whole Italian world!
