Legends of Greece by bus

Guide from Artex: Natalya Popova-Cheryapkina. According to her, she has been specializing in Italy and Greece for 10 years. Although we got the impression that she was going on this route for the first maximum of the second time.

Dear travelers! before agreeing to the bus tour "Legends of Greece", you need to weigh the pros and cons. The tour, of course, attracts additional visits to Bulgaria and Romania. BUT!!!! It should be noted significant shortcomings of the tour:

1. Three borders with downtime of 3-4 hours.

2. The complete absence of autobahns! The bus travels along country roads at a speed of 60-80 km/h.

3. Lack of infrastructure on the roads. A lot of time is lost in the queue for the toilet with a group of 38 people and the presence of 1-2 booths at the gas station.

4. These are three different currencies, no exchangers and no time to exchange money. The guide convinces tourists that you don't need it.

5. Bulgaria is represented in this tour very poorly - only the capital for a couple of hours without spending the night in this country. We can safely say that we never saw Bulgaria.

6. Additional excursions such as Cape Sounion (25 euros), Potapia Monastery (25), island cruise (98) with an additional excursion on the last island (20 euros), evening Athens (15), boat on the Corinth Canal (25) , tavern (38 + 5 by taxi) - the price clearly does not match the quality and expectations of tourists.

7. Separately about the islands - the tour lasts all day, but stops on 3 islands: 1 hour 45 minutes, 45 minutes, 1 hour 30 minutes. This is very little time, because it includes unloading and loading the boat with 300 passengers!

8. Also, 15 euros for a radio communication device with a guide - garbage, because the batteries are constantly running down and the device often does not catch the wave.

9. Peloponnese, city of Naflipio - stay time 45 minutes. The lack of a city tour, the failure to visit a large fortress and other attractions, the lack of a beach - one asks: "What for here was to go at all ???quot;

10. Those who are interested in fur coats were taken to them in Athens (high prices!). Although they could be bought in Neakalikratia at significantly lower prices, since this is not the capital, and the tailoring factory was nearby. But for some reason the guide decided to organize fur coats in the capital.

11. Separately, about the hotel in the capital. I suspect that tourists are constantly being taken to this hotel. Guide: "We will live in a prestigious area in the center of Athens, in a beautiful hotel." The hotel is really close to the center. But availability on the streets directly below the hotel:

but. junkies on the sidewalk,

b. prostitutes with brothers,

in. dubious appearance of groups of blacks and Arabs,

slums from the window,

e. fighting in the street and

e. the guide's insistent request "Do not leave the hotel, do not wear gold on the street" - suggest: "Sentry!". My husband and I went to the embankment on our own. The beauty! But the group was never brought here. It's a shame!

12. The organization of time on the bus by the guide requires significant improvement. A shining example of stupidity. Evening of the LAST day in Greece, we go to the hotel from Thessaloniki. The guide puts on a film about the rules of conduct in Greece, their traditions and customs! In the middle of the film, it was turned off to inform us that today is our last night in Greece, and tomorrow Felix and Svetlana will leave us by plane. We watched the film on the border between Romania and Bulgaria. Very logical!

13. The attitude of the guide towards tourists became clear after watching a film about tourists in Greece in two parts, where tourists are called unfinished idiots in plain text, and so on, and the guide is presented as a super-genius who is burdened by communication with morons! The following may serve as an illustration. Return home, before the Ukrainian border. The guide puts on the final song in Russian about the love of travel and STARTS IN HIS OWN WORDS TO RETELL IT TO US WITH COMMENTS AND CLARIFICATIONS!

The advantages of the tour include the following:

1. Local guides are very qualified! Thank you very much!

2. We traveled all over Greece - now I know exactly where to go on vacation is not worth it (in particular, Halkidiki - dirty sandy beaches and shallow sea). Relax on the islands!

3. Loutraki is a wonderful resort town. Clean, well maintained, pebble beach, reasonable prices in cafes with VERY delicious cuisine. Recomend for everybody!
