Last year we went with the Wild Tour to Megeyskiye Rapids - everything was just fine! That is why we decided to make a gift to the father of the family this year and bought a gift certificate for a tour to Balaklava (Cape Aya). They specifically stipulated that there should be a minimum load (a man over 60, no longer a boy, and indeed a person goes on vacation).
The tour took place on March 8, three agreed days - and only upon returning we find out that the trip was in a COMPLETELY different format.
They promised: A trip from the Wild Tour to the leader Vitaly personally.
It turned out: the group was not completed (there were only 2 people), then it was decided to combine it with another group (4 people), which was carried by ANOTHER COMPANY. At the same time, they said nothing to anyone, even on the day of departure they only said that the meeting was postponed for an hour and a half, and that another person was meeting. Those. everyone was sure that they were going with the Wild Tour.
Promised: Accommodation in a comfortable camp with radial excursions. Minimum load.
It turned out: Route with transitions. Those. a man of respectable age was forced to walk for kilometers under a loaded backpack. Moreover, some sections of the path went steeply uphill, and on a couple of sections (which we saw in the photo) it was generally frankly scary to climb).
Our birthday boy is a positive person, and tried to look at the situation with a smile. And here we are, who ordered a tour as a gift for him, to be honest, in shock and extreme negativity. We did not expect such an attitude from the Wild Tour.
It is not clear to us why no one was warned about the changes (under the terms of the certificate, the birthday boy could choose any other tour of a similar cost), and why, in the end, instead of the promised full-fledged rest, excursions and light walks, the person had to drag a backpack along the mountain route (which, as I understood , included completely different places that were spelled out in the program).
In addition, the guide turned out to be rather mediocre, the stories about the places were in the style of "There is a castle over there, someone built it, if you want you can go down to look, we'll wait." For the most part, already tired people (not accustomed to hiking and that is why they ordered an easy radial tour) did not want to see any castles.
