I returned last week from a tour of Greece, namely from Sintrivanis. (The choice was Mare Blue or Sintrivanis, the latter was chosen for its picturesque nature and the opportunity to walk around the town) I have never ridden a bus before and thought it would be very difficult. Absolutely not difficult. Buses are very comfortable. We had seats with a table, no one was sitting opposite and we slept well. Yes, we drove a long time, but the road is great, stops often, every 3-4 hours. My girlfriend and I took the trip as an adventure. So we enjoyed the trip. For the longest time, about 9 hours, we stood on the border between Romania and Ukraine. A bus full of children, who are absolutely adequate and calm, surprisingly endured a difficult and long road. No matter how comfortable the buses are, it is difficult to spend almost 2 days on the road.
Many thanks to the drivers: Costa - you are a great driver)))) Upon arrival at the hotel, ie children's camp, we were resettled and fed. Food is the same, but what can you expect for that kind of money). A little synthetics and soy, but it was never bad. On the contrary, thanks to the Greek yogurt that was given to me, I lost 5 kg every day :) The children were fed 4-5 times, we ate 2, sometimes 3 times. Accompanying us Andrew as well as all the companions, apparently; did not answer any questions and did not solve anything. But what could he do? To the sea about 170-200 m. I would say very close. Although most dissatisfied. Yes, the beaches are dirty, but what is an agency and a hotel for? There are a lot of "our" municipal beaches, if you do not mess them up, they would be clean. Sea of wonders. The view from the window and on the beach is impressive - on the beach we admired the mountain on which the castle-fortress Platamon is located.
And the hotel overlooks Olympus (SUPER) All that we promised and received, and for that money and should not have hoped for 5 stars and complain) Although, in Greece, even 5 stars - this is not Turkey. You will not find a chic service there. Except on the islands. The town itself, named Scottin :) (in Greek "dark, in the shadows") is picturesque. The road to the beach through the alley of millennial plane trees. Shopping is also great, the prices for shoes and clothes impressed us. We managed to make friends with many Greeks. The cost of the tour is 50 euros + entrance ticket to the monastery 3 euros. What I did not like was that we were kept for a long time in the icon-painting workshop on the way to Meteora, where the prices for icons and souvenirs are inflated 2-3 times. And it is also surprising that the workshop is icon-painting, and fur coats are sold, etc. We are sure that the guide gets a kickback for every tourist who bought souvenirs there. I bought a marble figure of a woman, and when I asked the consultant WHAT figure is it, whose?
I received a "meaningful" answer, SEARCH IN GOOGLE. . . . . That's right :) We have been there for a long time, so we visited only 1 monastery out of 6. Jan, the guide is also a wonderful person. Many of her stories are untrue and untrue. But, for most people, she interestingly told a fairy tale using Dan Brown. There are a huge number of people in Meteora. Souvenirs for icons are cheaper than in the workshop. On the way back, Jana advised us the establishment (we are sure that she will be given a kickback for that as well), where, as she said, we will have lunch for 10-12 euros. But, everyone got at least 25 euros! We did not regret it, because it was delicious and interesting, good music, delicious food, good Greek guys)))) Many thanks also to the drivers: Manolis and Costa, they know their business))) also entertained us) very friendly, talkative, cheerful, positive and love our girls :) Now about the hotel itself. Rooms are good, bedding and towels are white. Replacement every 2 days. And cleaning every day.
The pool is good, smells like chlorine like all pools. Clean daily. Sunbeds and umbrellas are free. The dining room is so-so, but the portions are very large. We were given rations and water with us for the skin tour, which also made us happy. At the expense of WI-FI everything is very bad. . . . Works only at the reception, where there is never any of the staff. Bad to catch, almost does not work. We hardly saw the promised animators. The children entertained themselves. Another pastime we had was feeding the local donkey melons and watermelons. By the way, fruit prices are different. In supers a kg of peaches costs about 1.4-1.5 euros, watermelons 0.91.5 euros per kg. Cars brought to the hotel melons and watermelons for 0.2 euros per kg))))) Oranges 1 euro per kg So, we have only the best memories of Greece) I will go now every year) And now the worst. . . . . . In Thessaloniki, we waited 2.5 hours for the bus, because we had to change for some reason, we said that the license expired on the previous, but not true, rumors.
The bus arrived was not very convenient. There was no footrest. . . . . . So, the worst. . . . . on the way back in a Romanian village our bus breaks down. . . . (The pump was leaking) (Drivers were tormented and tormented and went for the detail. To Greece !!!!! And we were deprived of children and gypsies.......) Andrew, the attendant, should not have deprived us, but ... climbed and also for some reason went with drivers. The bus is blocked, that is even water couldn't get from luggage, but we didn't lose hope and waited ... We walked on the village, looked at local coloristics. In three hours 2 buses arrived and several people sat down on free places and went home safely, but most of us lost ... To the toilet, please, went to the railway .. The bus broke down at 5 am, the drivers arrived at about 12 am with a detail and Andrew :) At 14.00 we set off. That is, they stood in the Romanian fields for 9 hours.
We stopped at the service station, where we stood for about an hour, not long, by those standards, while repairing the bus :) Then the border. . . . . . again about 9 o'clock we stood. . . . . Then at the border we changed to another bus, because ours was not allowed. . . . again. . . . moreover, they dropped us off at the border, with speeches we all stood as if on the line and checked our passports. Then my interpreters and I walked across the border to another bus. Thanks again to the drivers of the Vilar tour for helping us, because there were a lot of bags :). . . . We returned to Lviv in 2.5 days (We did not expect this, but we took everything as an interesting adventure. Because we were positive. In general, we are satisfied with the trip. Thank you Gal-Cruise for an interesting trip and advise to weigh all the shortcomings )))
