Good afternoon everyone!
I'll start with the fact that for a long time I was engaged in the selection of a successful tour that combines an excursion program + sea holidays + lack of night crossings + an adequate pricing policy.
In "Gal-Cruise" applied for the first time. And of course, after reading all sorts of, often not the most flattering reviews, they doubted whether it was worth taking a tour from them. But still, everything turned out as it happened, and relying on the "lucky star" and with a positive attitude, we still decided to go on the "All at Sea to Spain" tour and did not regret it at all. :)
I want to warn you right away that all those who have never traveled on bus tours should decide whether it suits them. Since almost everything, even the most super-duper auto-travels, have a number of "features" that are not suitable for everyone. Therefore, find out everything in advance from acquaintances, friends, on tour sites and forums; so that later it would not be "excruciatingly painful for an aimlessly spent vacation."
I will also say that I have experience traveling by bus. We went at one time with Fairy, and with the Accord, and more than once. In principle, I have always been pleased with the trips (not counting the small details that I don’t remember right now, and thank God :)
It was a light introduction. And now closer to the "body" (as they say).
The tour called "All by sea to Spain" involved 12 days of "swimming". Of these, 6 full days at sea !!! All other days it is a ride towards the sea (Costa Dorado coast) and back + on the way to Budapest and Verona there, and Nice and Milan back.
Budapest "fell through" with us due to force majeure, or rather because of hopeless laziness and harmfulness on the part of the Hungarian customs, where we were imprisoned for about 5.5 hours. It is clear that after such a long wait at the border, we only managed to get to the hotel in Hungary and fall asleep. Fortunately, we were not very upset, since the evening boat trip around Budapest offered to us in the tour program has already been tried more than once by us in other bus tours. :)
Next Verona, arrived in the late afternoon. The tour is good, with a guide and headphones. True, there was no free time, since we had to go to the hotel in order to leave early in the morning for Spain, which is about 1100-1200 km away.
In general, we arrived late at night in Tarragona (Catalonia, Costa Dorado).
And the first good news was late breakfasts (until 11.00)!!!
Hooray!!! This is very important for us, as getting up early on vacation is not a hunt! The hotel in Tarragona was located in the center of the city on their main street (the Rambla). Around a lot of restaurants, cafes, historical monuments and shops. Although the hotel is not new, it is quite worthy 3 *.
Separate topic, Tarragona. She just won us over! And we sincerely fell in love with her. :) This is a city with its own character, energy and history! We managed to get acquainted with its traditions, in particular, with castellers, builders of castels (human towers). There is info on Wikipedia about this, for those who are interested, read it. In short, we saw it firsthand! It is something!
And Tarragona is also a pleasant sea, it is better not in the city itself under the amphitheater, but a kilometer from it. By bus No. 11, No. 9, and No. 1e you can get there in 5 minutes. There is a blue flag there. :)
And yet this city is a solid storehouse of ancient Roman monuments and ruins, as well as cozy streets and pleasant cafes with wonderful Mediterranean cuisine!
Also, a separate topic Barcelona! Walks to her from Tarragona
train every half an hour. And in 1 hour 20 minutes and 7.5 euros, she will drive you to the capital of Catalonia. In general, in short: everyone should be there!!!
and preferably: not once and not in a group tour. Barcelona is something! The city is so dynamic, rich, stuffed with so many sights that it simply takes your breath away!!!
In short, Barcelona is a must see!!! Shopping - the best!
So, on the last day before departure, a slight sadness came over me, I didn’t want to leave. But everything ends sooner or later, and we "set sail" towards "home - sweet home". The road was not close. On the way back, we visited an optional tour of Nice, we liked the city, or rather its old part: even more than the famous embankment.
Then there was Milan, a city "for an amateur" as for me. But you definitely need to go there. :)
And finally, almost homeland, and "Hurrah!" customs in 40 minutes! Record!
So on this trip we broke two records at once - "the longest" stay at customs and the "shortest" :)
It was thanks to the second "short" one that we managed to catch the train in Lviv, which we were incredibly happy about!!!!:)
And therefore, I will sum up the trip with esoteric conclusions:
How you tune in is what you get! We were tuned in to continuous positive and relaxation, and in the end, despite the minor "malfunctions" on the way, everything went great, which is what I wish you too!!!
Travel far and wide!!!!
