Weekend in Venice

To be honest, I was on a bus tour for the first time (not the first time abroad). True, the wife and daughter regularly go on bus tours, so the preparation was with experience. The visit to Budapest and Venice was decisive in choosing the tour. The program of the tour in Algol was very suitable.

To start, a couple of remarks. When preparing the documents, it turned out that additional form requirements were imposed on the documents for opening a visa (for example, a certificate from work, after the certificate was issued, they had to be redone, since the standard form did not suit them). I fully admit that this is a requirement of the Hungarian embassy (I heard about the difficulties of opening a Hungarian visa), but there was no warning about this on the Algol website.

Again, when making additional financial support for the trip, I repeatedly used a form that was convenient for myself. Here they demanded to use only one of the possible methods (although the information on preparing for the tour on the Algol website offers several options, the company said that they work with only one form, and why they could not explain with only one) correct the information on the site according to the documents (or explain it).

There were also minor slips when leaving Lviv.

BUT! I was very pleasantly surprised by the coherence of actions and the attention of Algol employees when I had difficulties with opening a visa (it was necessary to pass an interview at the Consulate General). Everything was well organized and carried out. Everything that depended on the Algol employees was done just fine.

Specifically for the tour, I noticed that the main requirements are:

- how well the tour program is being carried out.

-professionalism of the team leader.

- bus and drivers.

- compliance of hotels with the declared travel agency.

I guess I was lucky - the first bus and immediately:

1. The program of the tour was carried out clearly (was it strange to look at adults with dissatisfaction complaining about the disruption due to a 10-hour delay at the border of one of the visits?). I really liked the thoughtful amount of free time.

2. The head of the group - Ingrid Konovalenko turned out to be a very friendly, knowledgeable girl who managed to create a friendly atmosphere in the group (and this is important), as a result of not a single delay or dropping out of anyone from the group. I liked that she knew the cities she visited well and helped in organizing free time.

3. I would especially like to note the work of the drivers, we had Venedikt and Andrey. Just great. The bus is not new, but clean and well maintained. With the group they were very helpful and attentive. They drove the bus very carefully. Perfectly guided along the route.

4. The hotels were on the level (I saw 4 stars and better, but these were quite on the level).

The overall impressions of the organization and conduct of the tour are excellent.

In general, I am satisfied with the work of Algol. Since they offer very convenient (in my opinion) tours, I will use their services again.
