Travel agency: Алголь Туроператор (Lviv) Service type: экскурсионный тур |
I hasten to share my impressions about the European Cocktail tour.
This tour was recommended to us by friends who traveled this route with the Algol travel agency last year. This is our first bus tour. Heard a lot of different reviews about such trips - both negative and positive. Our will be positive J
The entire tour is clearly marked. At the beginning of the journey, we were given a tour program and told how the tour would go - excursions that are included in the tour price, how long they take, the mileage that we will drive per day, etc. Additional excursions - their cost, duration and what we will see on them. We were warned about punctuality - since we have 1 day for each city and it is very important not to be late for the meeting points, so as not to let the group down.
Date of departure from Lviv 03.05 – in the morning we were met at the station and taken to the bus for boarding. At the bus we were met by a girl Olya and drivers (Algol employees who accompanied us throughout the trip). Moving through the territory of Transcarpathia to the border in the city of Chop. The border was crossed rather quickly, about 2 hours. On the first day, an attraction for tourists - wine tasting in the Valley of Beauties - not only tasting, but also an interesting story about the winemaking of one of the families, in the cellar where our group was visiting. After that, the move and there was already a settlement in a hotel in Budapest itself. Hotel Griff, three stars, where we stayed for 2 nights. We drove 650 km that day!
Second day - 9:00 am tour, quite long and informative, somewhere around 4 hours, but this includes bus rides around the city. To be honest, we were not very tired, but I wanted to eat already. Free time - we went to the Paprika restaurant, not far from the Heroes' Square. I wanted to try the national cuisine. Whoever goes to this restaurant, I’ll say right away that the portions are very large, in order to save money, you can take one dish for two. In the evening, when it began to get dark, we took a boat trip for 15 euros - I recommend it, because you can’t see the whole city in one day, but you can see more from the boat. And of course, the lighting of the city - there are simply no words.
The third day - after breakfast with things we leave for Vienna. It is 250 km to Vienna, and around 12:30 we have already left the main square of Maria Theresa. Sightseeing tour and free time until 18:00. They offered us 2 additional excursions - to the Habsburg treasury or to the Opera House. We chose the opera - the beauty and wealth is incredible. The tour guide also spoke very interestingly - about who performed on the stage of the Opera, about balls ... In Vienna, there is no problem where to have a bite to eat. True prices are higher than in Budapest. We ate sausages on the street, drank beer on the central avenue. At 18:00 transfer to the hotel in Prague 300 km, hotel Aura, also 2 nights there
9:00 - Departure for the tour. Just like in Budapest 4 hours, here we are already very tired and hungry. The offer of the tour included a boat trip with lunch. Algol offers this very thoughtfully - 2 hours along the Vltava, the legs rest, and we ourselves eat up. There is really a lot of food, though there are no drinks - for an extra charge - but we were warned about this. Since we spent the night in the same hotel, no longer tied to the group, we walked until late in the evening and returned to the hotel on our own by metro.
Fifth day - breakfast and departure to Dresden with things. 150 km of road. Most of all I liked this city, I did not even expect it. Upon arrival, excursion and free time for shopping or visiting museums. On the advice of friends, we did a successful shopping in a shopping center where we managed to eat and drink German beer quite well. The road home is 860 km away and in the morning we are in Lviv!
I repeat that this is our first bus tour, and we were very satisfied and interested in the next trips much further (maybe France or Italy)
Good luck Algol.
