I want to share my impressions about trying to travel to the Czech Republic with the travel agency Algol.
The tour "Krakow+Prague+Dresden" was ordered 6 weeks in advance through the Donetsk branch of Hot Tours. Date of departure from Ukraine - September 12, 2010.
Two days before departure, the Algol company reported that our documents (as well as the documents of the rest of the group) were not accepted by the Czech embassy in Lvov, due to the fact that the embassy employees were on vacation.
Because of this, the tour was rescheduled for the entire band to September 26, 2010.
Six days passed, after which (September 18) the Algol travel agency apologized to me due to the fact that they had lost my income certificates. Because of this, my documents were not submitted to the embassy for the second time for the trip on September 26th.
After that, as compensation, I was offered to go on the same tour on October 10 with payment for two excursions (Karlovy Vary and Dresden) at the expense of the travel agency. I decided to abandon this tour, because I was afraid that for the third time, due to the fault of the travel agency, I would not get on the trip again, and asked for my documents (passport) and money to be returned to me in order to go to the Czech Republic on my own.
I informed the travel agency Algol of my decision on September 24th.
At the moment (September 28), my documents and money have not yet been returned to me, and therefore I cannot apply for a visa at the Czech Embassy on my own.
In addition, twice I had to hand over railway tickets for the Donetsk-Lviv train, each time losing a certain amount on the cost of tickets.
As a result - there is no money, no documents, no one apologized, the trip to Prague was covered, vacations and all plans in connection with this - too.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND anyone to contact this travel agency, at least until Algol apologizes.
