I want to tell you about the trip to the tour "Summer watercolors of the Balkans", which took place from July 9 to July 17, 2016. If the tour had taken place according to the schedule, there would have been no complaints. But during the trip there were a lot of unnecessary sanitary stops. Every 2-3 hours the bus stopped and such a stop took 1 hour. Without this, a lot of time was spent crossing borders.
Thus Day 1. Odessa
~08:30 – Departure from Odessa. 13:00 Landing in Izmail.
Crossing the border. Transfer to Bucharest, accommodation in a hotel. Free time. Overnight at the hotel. This was on schedule, in fact there was no free time in Bucharest at all, because. We arrived at the hotel at 4 am for the night. If we could take away unnecessary hourly stops for anyone, we would have got there earlier.
Then a night move, we arrived in Durres, we were settled in a disgusting hotel, the living conditions were unsuitable. Breakfast is poor, we spent 4 nights there. These days there were excursion trips to Tirana, Ohrid, Gjirokastra and Butrint. There are no comments, there were good guides, I liked everything.
On the 7th day transfer to Sofia, accommodation in a hotel, overnight. History repeats itself, we arrived at the lodging for the night at 2 am.
The next day excursions in Sofia, Arbanasi, Veliko Tarnovo and overnight transfer to Odessa.
It was even more interesting here - the people on the bus asked the escort repeatedly that we had bought train tickets from Odessa, many to get further home. Instead of arriving in Odessa at 11 in the morning, we were there at 15.01 - and the people had a train at 15.03. We could have been there much sooner. Again, all because of unnecessary stops (I repeat). When there were 120 km left to Odessa, we stopped in Tatarbunary, the escort decided that we needed to make a sanitary stop. Many went to order lunches for themselves in a cafe, naturally the stop was delayed. Thus, we were late for our arrival in Odessa.
I think that is a very, very bad organization. The escort had to rush everyone, ask for fewer stops, but here it was the other way around.
