Tour "Alpine Beauties", May 2018
We travel a lot, but with Accord for the first time. I am happy to write positive reviews, because I did not plan to write this one. But the complete lack of feedback from customers after the tour, ignoring the requests of the travel agent are forced to give an objective description of our tour, so that tourists know what service the largest bus operator in Ukraine offers. Very disappointed.
For the whole tour there were … 6 (!!!) buses. And not to the nearest Poland, but to mountainous Switzerland! The first one broke down as soon as it left for tourists in Lviv, the second one broke down and burned twice, 2 small beads came to replace it. Very uncomfortable. Seeing a bus queue at the border in Chop, the driver decided to go ... back. in Uzhhorod. To the border with Slovakia (like it will be faster). And the leader did not even think that one of the tourists might have a visa for Hungary! What happened: permission to leave the child with his mother to ... Hungary. They called and fixed something. They crossed the border after 22.00 (in Chop it would definitely have been earlier). Well, then it was necessary not on the autobahn, but on a country road. A couple of times we almost got killed: wild boars and roe deer threw themselves under the wheels.
In Gyor in the morning a chic huge bus with Austrian numbers and a driver, respectively, was waiting for us. And without knowledge of English and Russian)))
And, according to the laws of our rise in price, it broke down half an hour after leaving))) We drove to the dock, repaired. Lost a couple of hours. There were problems later, but they didn’t stop by anymore - the driver just cursed, and we were languishing from stuffiness, since the air conditioning system did not turn on. The last bus took us back from Budapest to Lviv (with a sign "Sakums", by the way). Old, but everything worked. And two drivers who helped with the bags. The Austrian driver did not even touch it at all, even though there were only 3 men on the tour, otherwise fragile girls.
Roman, 25 years old. He was very lucky with the group: all experienced tourists, punctual, not conflict. They held on with all their might.
The only plus of Roman is that he was not silent on the way, he talked about countries. The rest is very weak. English is almost zero. His first speech-acquaintance - "We won't have democracy for a week." At the same time, he did not control the timing at all, delays, often waiting for him, he did not react to the constant delays of the same tourist. Everyone came on time, got on the bus, we were waiting - Roman was not there. Smokes somewhere behind the bus.
In hotels, of course, they arrived late - and the torment began. He handed out the keys (maximum 15 rooms) - 40 minutes!!! Then he takes the keys, then the list, then again asks where are the numbers. When someone could not stand it and offered help - “let me sort it out myself somehow?”
In addition to the indicated number in the infolist, there was no connection with him - he did not create a group in viber, he will not be in any number - he did not speak. Everyone solved their own problems. For example, like us. Hotel in Italy. We go - there is no light. At the reception neither English nor Russian. don't know. We checked in only after 4 (!!!) attempts, having spent 1.5 hours in the middle of the night (there is no light, then it was not cleaned after the previous guests).
All hotels are excellent. Although there are very ill-conceived ones in logistics (in the opposite direction from the route, therefore, they wound additional km and time, respectively).
BUT! Both Italian hotels are a frank humiliation for breakfast: at 6 in the morning, so as not to intersect with other tourists, in a separate closet, at an empty table: 1 toast, 1 type of cheese, 1 type of sausage, 1 type of tea and coffee slop. We have never seen such a breakfast anywhere else. Well, at least there was still yogurt and an egg. Food was not added. Who did not come at exactly 6 - there was only bread + 1 piece of cheese. Terribly frank humiliation. Managers MUST specify at the time of booking what they will be feeding their tourists. We then saw an abundance of breakfast in the hall for all tourists ((
The route is good, the places are beautiful. Although it was raining, there were no beautiful snow-capped peaks, there was no way to make beautiful pictures.
But a huge minus (and I think this is just a miscalculation of the Accord logisticians, because other operators did not have this) is the mismatch between the promised and reality. Those. on the way, they tell us one thing, in the information sheet, too, they promise a lot of free time, they talk about national dishes and souvenirs ... We arrive, we leave, the guide announces that the tour is 1 hour, the bus leaves in 1 hour 10 minutes. There was NO time for a bite to eat at any of the places. And there were children in the group. Parents could not buy food, go somewhere with their children! In Bergamo, the group just freaked out and refused to return to Milan for a couple of tourists who did not buy Bergamo. We stayed, carved out 2 hours and 15 minutes for a walk and lunch (then the bus went through Bergamo anyway). Were happy. But what did it cost us?
OPTIONS and TOUR GUIDES.
I repeat: the group was lucky. There were all electives, almost all went to the whole group. BUT!!! Our leader didn’t even try to take this into account (((For two days, knowing that we bought everything for the elective, we poked him half an hour into the map, proving that Bellinzona and Locarno are ON THE ROAD to Lugano, that it makes no sense to first go to Lugano, then return to Bellinzona, then go to the hotel again through Lugano. 3-4 hours!!!It was the same with Bergamo.Probably, without a leader, they would have coped faster and more smoothly)
In Innsbruck - a terrible guide. I drove around the park for an hour, told bed stories, "actress", worked for myself, all this - near landfills, construction sites. The city is not shown. Finished at about 20.00 - it's dark, they themselves wandered into the city. In the photo on the Internet - a beautiful city, but we did not see it.
Rhine Falls - insanely sorry for the money spent. 76 euros for two!!! ((((
Arriving there, we were given 30 minutes ... to look at the waterfall from afar. Kilometers for 1.5! To sail (even if for our own money!!!) on a boat to the bridge, where the waterfall is raging and as ALL other tourists did, we didn’t even have time theoretically (once every 30 minutes a boat). The divorce is terrible. Moreover, from Zurich there and go 40 km, not far. Why such money? DO NOT BUY THIS OPTION.
Other electives and guides - norms. I especially liked Tolik in Budapest. We didn't plan to go at all. We were there a hundred times, but he managed to lead such nooks and crannies, so interesting to tell that everyone was wildly delighted.
ADDITIONAL "BONUSES" on the tour:
We were NOT compensated for the fact that the tour turned out to be with 1 night transfer instead of the declared "no overnight" - we would NOT buy this tour for anything at that price. For breakdowns of buses and downtime in the field in the heat they made -18 euros for everyone.
Moreover, an extra charge of +42 euros (!!!!!) for the front seats on the bus and going NIGHT in the minibus on the LAST non-folding seats is no comment at all. Shame on the operator!
One girl was not on the list, she did not have numbers, although she bought a tour for 3 weeks. Imagine her reaction. Really it was impossible after the first hotel to urgently extinguish this situation by managers?
A family with 2 children was promised -10% on excursions already on the bus. They showed the correspondence, the contract - “I don’t know anything, pay as in the info sheet.”
30 km traffic jam near Budapest. 3 hours stayed. A/C did not work.
Well, in this spirit every day. Hungry, without free time, not getting enough sleep, because. very train check-ins and early breakfasts…
We recommend contacting other operators who are more customer-oriented!
