1. The plane arrived at the new Dubai airport, which is + an hour to the road to the hotel.....
2. The azur air company (I don’t even want to capitalize the name, there is no respect! ) for 5 hours of flight, instead of two meals a day, it provides a glass of juice and a small bag of peanuts))) and a pseudo-lunch). a gram container with a puppet piece of cheese and sausage is solidly called "Meat Snack"!!!! )))) This is not about the hotel, but it is important for what is described below).
3. Because of the first item, we arrived at the hotel at 23-30 local time. Meals half board and dinner until 23. Accordingly, we arrived at the hotel hungry and tired and..... to the question "where can I eat? " the answer is "what is it for you to keep the entire staff of the restaurant?! " If guests do not have time to offer them at least a sandwich or at least cookies for dinner in the interests of any hotel), but we received only "how do we know when you will arrive ?! " As a result, after checking in, I had to wander around the hotel at one in the morning in search of food).
4. The number is generally a separate review)))). From fatigue and hunger, they did not pay attention to the stained carpet, a non-working refrigerator with a non-closing door). The complete absence of dishes and cutlery in the kitchen..... The main surprise was waiting for us in the morning! We woke up in the morning - it was dark in the room, we closed the curtains before going to bed) We joyfully part the curtains and..... oh God! Has the Lord taken my eyesight??!!! ! And the room is also dark! The lights are on 24/7 otherwise it's a dark night. So we spent a week without daylight like moles in the basement. It turned out that there were three towers in the hotel, we were settled in the second and the window overlooks the black wall of the neighboring tower, on the right is the same black wall, on the left is also the wall of the neighboring room and....in the distance. A small strip between the wall of our tower and the wall of the neighboring one. Arriving from winter Moscow, it’s sad to be in the basement . . (((((But we are Russians! You won’t spoil our mood so easily)) The beds are comfortable and the bedding is normal)
5. At the meeting with the hotel guide YuliyaYaSolveAllYourProblemsAnswerAllQuestions complained about the room. After going to the administrator, Yulia said that all the Studio rooms in the hotel are like this and the travel agent should have warned us....About what, Yulia ? ! That we won't see daylight in the room? We would simply refuse such pleasure)) There is no such information on the sites and I did not buy the tour from strangers.
6. Since the hotel provides bathrobes and slippers upon request (as all sites report), we made such a request to the Russian-speaking administrator ANNE. Stunning "intelligent boor"! ))) Not a word of rude, but a clear message to *** and in the eyes, and in the subtext and on the face))) So! "Bathrobes are not provided in the rooms. " Ironing board and iron need to wait, use other guests). When asked how long to wait for the iron, the answer is also amazing))) "I am not responsible for the human factor! In 15 minutes") I still do not understand why the first phrase was said....? )) And indeed after 15 minutes (then we did not yet know that it was fast) brought an iron and an old dirty ironing board with traces of a hot iron. Which, by the way, was not needed by other guests until the end of our stay at the hotel). And, probably as a bonus))), disposable slippers
7. The next day we were leaving for an excursion and the hotel guide Yulia told me to order a lunch box in the evening. The dearest HAMKA ANNA categorically refused, because "this is not accepted at the hotel. " When we were "shaved off" for the first time, we no longer approached before the tour) Intelligent girls)))
8. Dubai tour from Anex Tour was amazing! Thanks to the guide Vladimir (according to him, he is not an employee of the tour operator) it was very interesting. Not just information, but an interesting story about the state, rulers, emirates and sights. The light show at the Burj Khalifa in the Dubai Mall was especially impressive! Listed in the Guinness Book of Records, made for the New Year and extended until March inclusive. Be sure to see who has time) then it will be impossible to see him.
9. The restaurant is not very convenient in terms of location, if you don’t ask you won’t find it). It also consists of medium-sized rooms separated by walls, and you run along them in search of free space. But the staff here are great. And they will lead you to a free table and help if necessary. Very attentive and smiling. The food is varied for every taste, a lot of fruits, salads, desserts. You won't leave hungry and the food is delicious. And the time of 3-4 hours is enough not to rush and plan both the day and the evening. Very convenient for half board or breakfast-dinner or breakfast-lunch. Just call the room number at the entrance and eat.
10. The beach is really 10-15 minutes. Buses run six times a day, but! there may not be enough places in the evening from the beach to the hotel, but you can’t ride standing up. Very tough huge fines, especially for speeding, so the movement is measured and unhurried)) But they constantly cut insolently)). Ramada Beach hotel beach. Small but well maintained. There is nothing to eat, but there are a lot of cafes nearby so you won’t have to go hungry. At the entrance! ! to the beach there is a fenced area with showers and foot washers, as well as toilets M and F, two of each. Clean and with toilet paper. Now, if you change clothes, then only in the toilet. Rescuers vigilantly monitor the order and chase local violators of the territory. There are jet skis 2-3 pieces, a banana and 2-3 cheesecakes. In general, the beach itself is large, but it is public and empty. Fenced part with sun loungers, mattresses and umbrellas. The sand is clean, but not snow-white, as described on the sites) I have something to compare))
11. And the final day at the hotel). Tomorrow transfer at 5 am!! ! A lot of plans and....the safe with money and documents was blocked. I had to contact the administrator again . . ((((Another girl of oriental appearance (they thought it was lucky that there was no HAMKI ANNA) listened to the request and promised to send an employee within 15 minutes. After 45 minutes of waiting, the arrival time of the employee was reduced to 5 minutes. 20 minutes on the way to dinner at the elevator, we ran into the long-awaited saviors. I don’t know if the gender and age of the guests affect the attitude of the staff, but it’s disgusting to treat us two friends with the hotel!
I do not recommend anyone to go to this hotel. from refusing or ignoring any request to a basement room with stains of dirt all over the carpet and upholstery, a broken refrigerator, an empty kitchen, years of dirt on the inside of the bathroom sink, a shabby balcony the size of a handkerchief. Ruin your holiday and waste your time and money. This is definitely not a four..... three with a huge minus maximum. Shame on the hotel!!!!! !
This is not the first time in the UAE, or rather the fifth, so there is something to compare with. Before that, we constantly rested in Dubai, also in apartments (to be honest, they are a level higher).
After reading positive reviews, we decided without hesitation to go to Ramada Sharjah, which we later regretted. Unfortunately, the rest in this hotel and the emirate of Sharjah left a negative imprint on the perception of our beloved country, the UAE.
So, let's begin.
1) The location of the hotel.
Well, I have to agree that the location of the hotel is very favorable, as it is located on the border with Dubai. Also nearby are the Sahara Mall and many small shops where you can buy the necessary and inexpensive products.
2) Numbers.
It seems that this is the second and last plus of the hotel.
The rooms are very spacious and comfortable. The kitchen has everything you need (this is where the positives end).
Internet wi-fi, but it almost didn’t work in the bedrooms. Only in the living room. coming from a nearby mosque.
3) Service.
Not to say that it was completely terrible, but rather 3. Not all requests were fulfilled immediately, sometimes we had to repeat several times. Once they didn’t even clean the room, although we asked.
The service in the dining room is terrible. We even encountered the fact that we had to pour ourselves tea and coffee, and take cutlery (as the tables were not always set). In my opinion, no 4 * hotel should allow such a thing.
4) Nutrition.
The food is obviously 2. The choice is meager. The only thing that pleased me was juices and fruits. The buns were very hard and obviously not fresh, but 2-3 days old. Rice, pasta are not tasty. and beans, buns with butter (sometimes fresh ones came across, but this is a rarity).
5) Transfer.
it just didn’t exist! miraculously it was canceled on the day of our arrival due to the hotel’s problems with the government and entry into Dubai. but something tells me that the only problem is the minimum number of Russian vacationers and the unwillingness to take them to beach. Oh yes, the hotel was completely packed with Chinese and Indians, only European faces were rarely visible, not to mention Russian ones.
Speaking of the transfer, there was all hope for it, since a lot of money was spent on a taxi.
By the way, taxi drivers in Sharjah are much more arrogant than in Dubai. Even during the day they took 9 AED for landing.
We went to the city beach lulu beach. The beach is not very clean, the color of the water in Sharjah is different. In Dubai it is blue, here it is greenish-yellow. The animators constantly rode scooters along the coast, the neighboring hotel smelled of fried food. on the positive side).
In general, the result is the same: if you have previously rested in some Turkey in a 3 * hotel, then Ramada Sharjah will seem ideal to you!
If you are used to a comfortable stay, then bypass this hotel. It is desirable, of course, to go to Dubai.
And we... decided to somehow diversify our stay in the UAE and change, so to speak, the place of deployment. The experiment failed.
We will never go to Sharjah again in our lives.
Cons . . Terrible !!! ! identical breakfasts. . dirty furniture and carpets in apartments. . old knocked down blankets. . bad housekeeping. . lack of transfer to the beach. . and no Russian speakers at the reception.
In general, I went from March 8 to March 15.2014 with friends, choosing a hotel for a long time, we stopped at Ramada Sharjah 4 * (as it seemed to us from the reviews of the hotel on a solid 4)! ! And so, we arrived at 8 pm and immediately the transfer to the hotel upset us (because of some tourists that we were waiting for according to the guide's stories, we sat at the airport for 2 hours !!! ! Finally we got to the hotel, we were met well they settled right away (by the way, if you have trouble with English, then it’s better not to risk going : ) there is only one person at the reception who speaks Russian) ! ! Deposit of 100 dollars, which is returned after check-out ! ! The room, as for me, is just super: large, cozy, clean, 2 bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen with everything you need . . wi-fi... were satisfied))))
We took a ticket only with breakfast (buffet), but I don’t regret it, because at lunchtime we disappeared on the beach, and in the evenings we walked and, oddly enough, didn’t feel like eating at all))))) and you can have a bite to eat and think of ( prices in supermarkets are average)! ! As for the food, I liked everything... I won’t complain about the monotony, like some tourists)))
The hotel area is small . . there is a swimming pool and a gym on the ground floor... Still, because of this, it was worth taking hotels on the coastline... because here, apart from the noise of cars, there is nothing interesting ! ! Some tourists in the reviews said that it is impossible to sleep in the room because of the noise of the passing motorway... ha ha... we were so tired that we fell asleep without "hind legs")) what kind of noise is there)))
By the way, on a note: immediately upon moving in, ask for an adapter (adapter), because I ate knocked it out later !!! ))
Every day there is a transfer from the hotel to the beach. the schedule is below, but if you arrive late you will stand in a crazy queue (by taxi it will cost 20 dirhams if you go to the side of Dubai, since there is an additional fee for crossing the border ! ! the border is three steps away ))))) you can take towels at the hotel . . there is some symbolic payment for a rug (remains for you as a gift) and an umbrella (returned upon check-out)! ! The beach, to which they took a paid 5 dirhams per person ! ! Although they said that in the UAE it is strictly with the appearance even on the beach, I would not say that) I saw girls in bikinis)) just if you are not confused by the views of local residents, then go ahead)))) no one will scold you)
And from, if you are going to the city, then it is better not to risk opening your shoulders, back, neckline and legs))) the local police do not understand this, they start to boil)) especially in shopping centers)
If you decide to buy souvenirs, then they revealed the secret to us there is one shop, everything is really cheap there called @Day to DAY something like that) not far from Deira City Center (there is a transfer from the hotel every evening for about 4 hours)!!!
Sharjah is really a strict state . . therefore, if you want to relax with alcohol, choose something else) you won’t even find him in this state))))) but in general I liked the rest)) but next time I would choose coastal line with a more picturesque area)))) and definitely not in Sharjah with its strict laws) I hope my review will help someone decide)))) Have a good rest)))
Reviewed a lot of options for hotels and settled on a hotel / apartment
RAMADA HOTEL APARTMENT SHARJAH. The tour package cost 21500 UAH = 2590 UAH for three (2 adults + a girl 14 years old) for 11 nights in mid-January with breakfast and visas. (Visas for 65 ye - 2 pieces for three)
We flew with budget Arab airlines Air Arabia. Airbus 320. Flight from Kyiv to Sharjah about 4.5 hours, back 5.2 hours. Everything is as usual - smooth takeoff, flight and landing. Of the features - food is not included in the price of the flight, but you can buy everything on board except alcohol. By the way, about alcohol. Contrary to popular belief, you can bring as much alcohol into Sharjah as you want - no one pays attention to it. I was told about this in duty free in Kyiv, and after that I myself was personally convinced of this. In duty free in Sharjah, it is also sold in sufficient quantity, but more expensive.
So, on January 9.2014, we landed at the airport in Sharjah. I used to be in many airports, but here I immediately got the feeling that I was in another world. Pakistanis, Hindus and Arabs in national dress walked back and forth at the airport. There were very few Europeans. In other Arab countries, we have not seen them in such a large number in one place at the same time. A very colorful sight. At the airport, everything is simple - first, an eye scan, then checking passports and visas, picking up luggage, going out into the street, where the guide meets, we sit down in minibuses / buses, and go to the hotel. We got to the hotel pretty quickly, because. our hotel was the first on the route.
We were met at the hotel, at the reception there was a Russian-speaking Said, about whom they wrote so much and spoke well. I note right away that I personally had a completely opposite opinion about him, and I even had a flash of the thought that he wrote these reviews himself. By tradition, we gave him a beautiful chocolate bar, and asked for a higher number, because. According to reviews, they read that the higher the better, and you can’t hear the mosque. We were very happy when Said handed us a card from room 2501 (the first 2 digits are the floor), i. е. on the 25th floor.
The check-in itself is very fast, a few minutes of filling out the documents, Said issued a card for the room and wrote the password for the Internet. (we first had 23060 for a week, then 69532 - maybe it will come in handy for someone)
Didn't explain anything else. Neither about how to connect to this Internet, nor about the fact that you can ask for bathrobes and slippers, nor about the fact that you can ask for an adapter to sockets. And also, he forgot to mention that the windows of all rooms that end in 01 and 08 (the first 2 digits are the floor, and the second two digits are the number on the floor) go directly to the courtyard in which the mosque is located. But more on that later. By the way, the windows and balconies are closed in all rooms, supposedly for security purposes, but you can ask for them to be opened for you, and you will need to sign a paper that this is at your own peril and risk.
So, we took the elevator to our 25th, the elevators, I’ll immediately notice, are of very good quality and quite fast, although in the morning at “rush hour”, when everyone goes for breakfast, you can get into a “traffic jam” and stop on almost every floor .
The room is really the same as in the photos, and corresponds to all previous reviews, so I will not describe it. Here you can watch my video description of room 2501
http://www.youtube.com/watch? v=ggtaIw7RHcI
I will only note that the room is really very large, the kitchen is equipped with everything you need - plates, forks, spoons, knives, pots, pans, cups, plates, etc. There is everything you need to cook your own food. By the way, this moment was decisive in favor of this hotel, with our choice of accommodation. I would also like to note that the numbers in the pictures look a little better than they actually are due to the fact that the numbers are not the first freshness, and here and there stains on carpets, tiles, etc. are visible. trifle. But this does not spoil the impression.
I had to tinker with the Internet connection a little, because. Said did not explain at all how this is done, but here you need to know a certain sequence of actions. He also did not talk about the fact that 2 devices cannot access the Internet at the same time. Then I had to deal with the adapter for sockets, in order to turn on the plug from the laptop I had to sweat. Brought bathrobes and slippers look very cheap, cheap.
The taps with water in the room were mixed up - from cold - warm, from hot - cold, besides, the cold water had a clearly brown color. Toilet paper is very thin and cheap.
The biggest surprise for me was the mosque, where prayers began around 6 am (our Kiev time is 4 am). This chant began in such a way that I had the feeling that suddenly someone suddenly turned on the tape recorder in the room at the highest volume. First, for 5 minutes. Then it calmed down. Then again, and for 15 minutes in a madness. I was dumbfounded by this. And I immediately remembered that in the reviews there was something about the mosque, but they wrote that you couldn’t hear the mosque in the rooms on the upper floors! And I couldn't sleep that day. I was very angry that I could not get enough sleep from the road, and in the morning we immediately went to the reception and stated that there was such a problem, and we wanted to change the room. Said was no longer there at that moment, and the English-speaking friend said “no problem”, come up to 15 o’clock, Said will be there, and you can easily solve this problem with him, this is not a question at all. OK. We come to 15-00 - Said is not there. We explain our problem again to another manager, the manager of SaEd begins to tell that there are no normal free rooms yet, come by 17-00, and we will give you a number in the other direction, supposedly it will be free by this time. I say - Ok, no problem, we will collect things for now, and we will wait "on the suitcases" I go up to 16-00 - I think let me find out. Said is already there - I explain the problem to him, he pretends that he is starting to solve something. In general, they taunted us for quite a long time, until I insisted on a meeting with the manager, who took me to the 17th floor to show another room (and he didn’t do it right away, but also stared at the computer monitor for a long time and pretended that something was there looking for). Room 1702. Video description of room 1702 here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch? v=Lmfhhw49xJo
This room overlooks 2 sides - the courtyard where the mosque and a little on the road. In short, almost the same, in terms of noise, a little better, but by that time we were already so tired of their bickering, and in principle we realized that there were no “quiet” rooms in this hotel, that we agreed to this room. The mosque, by the way, was heard less here, the cleaning was better, and the room itself was better, from a hot water tap - hot, from a cold tap - cold, the Internet worked on 2 devices at once. In January it is not hot and we practically did not use the air conditioner, but if you use it constantly, it makes a lot of noise (2 large blocks are located on the balcony, which is in the children's room)
In general, the first minus is the mosque, which is heard in absolutely all rooms - in some more, in some less. If you are a light sleeper, bring earplugs.
The second disadvantage, which has already been repeatedly told, is the transfer to the beach.
The third minus is the queues for breakfast and untimely replenishment of breakfast dishes, the restaurant itself is very small and cramped and is not designed for such a large hotel (but due to the fact that it is small, breakfast goes faster, because you don’t have to go for a long time for dishes )
Fourth - in the morning from Sharjah, in the evening to Sharjah constant large traffic jams, except for weekends (Friday and Saturday)
Pros - large spacious rooms, a full kitchen equipped with everything you need, nearby supermarkets - in the Sahara, Carefour and Lu lu, you can cross the Sahara and immediately get to Dubai, normal free parking, free Wi-Fi in the room, there is a transfer to Deira City center . It has a Carefour supermarket where we got non-alcoholic beer and great big fresh shrimp. A cool big DAY to Day store, where there are very cheap souvenirs and a lot of all of which stuff - I advise, it is located next to the entrance to the metro Deira City Center.
The host side of al khalidiah tourism is rated 2 out of 10. We waited for a long time at the airport until the bus arrives, there is no guide on the bus, no information. Then the next day - a meeting with the guide - a young girl Stella, who could not answer a single question normally, before leaving, they did not bring any information about the departure to the room, the reception was also not aware of it. We called this girl back, she apologized and said that the bus would pick us up at 14-30, despite the fact that the plane was at 19-00, and it would take 30 minutes to get to the airport! When asked why so early, she could not give a clear answer.
In short, we didn’t give a damn about their transfer, and their company, and calmly went to the airport at 16-30 by taxi, and spent an additional 2 hours of time in the hotel’s spa complex on the 5th floor, sunbathing in the sun and swimming in the pool. The water in the pool is well heated, but the smell of bleach is very strong.
I advise the hotel to families with children who, like us, plan to rent a car, because every day, first standing in line for breakfast, then trying to squeeze into the bus, onto the beach and from the beach, I consider it humiliating for a normal holiday. We rented a car for 8 days and traveled all over the UAE. I liked driving along the perfectly flat and wide Emirati highways, I really liked the White Mosque in Abu Dhabi, a walk to the Indian Ocean, Jumeirah Beach with a gorgeous view of the Burj Al Arab Hotel, Al Mamzar Beach (to which the bus takes from the hotel) is also cool , I really liked Dubai Marina with artificial canals and a beautiful promenade, walking along which is a pleasure. I liked the water in the Persian Gulf, a pleasant turquoise color. All in all, the holiday was a success! Disadvantages are everywhere, and if you are ready for them (for example, knowing in advance about the mosque at 6 am, I would take earplugs with me), they will not overshadow your vacation. Good luck everyone! If you have any questions - ask in the comments, I will definitely answer.
