Room overlooking the beach is very cool, with a balcony, spacious! Comfortable furniture, everything is beautiful, as in the photo, do not lie! The service is very suitable, every day they cleaned inside and out, even put things away.
The food also pleased us and the children. Hearty breakfasts. Dinners are varied.
During the day we went on excursions.
The staff at the hotel is very diligent, any request was fulfilled by a call to the reception. We were very pleased with the rest, we will be back, a cool hotel.
AIR CARRIER. Rest 19.08-26.08. 2019. Departure from the airport "Borispol" (Kyiv) at 19.20, JSC "UIA" (Ukraine International Airlines). The flight took about 5 hours, the flight was delayed by 20 minutes and the location of the Gate at the airport was transferred to the scoreboard at check-in, which gave reason to run and get nervous. A very uncomfortable board was filed. The distance between the seats is minimal, dirty interior. They flew with difficulty, the back and legs just fell off.
Back - departure at 3.20 from Dubai airport, flight delay by 30 minutes, a more comfortable and clean plane was served, it was possible to stretch our legs and get some sleep.
On board the UIA, food according to the menu (for euros) or lunch according to his booking on the air ticket. Only water is provided free of charge.
24 hours before departure, you need to check in on the website of the a / c and show the boarding pass in electronic or paper form when registering at the airport. When trying to change the seats in the cabin issued during electronic registration, the site showed free options, but the cost of this option was in euros - from 6 to 14 per seat if tickets were taken through a travel agency. In the Emirates, it was not possible to register on the website of the a / c, the network gave an error. But there were no problems - the airport issued a boarding pass without registration and with good seats.
THE HOST. Desert Adventure Company. We met at the airport, immediately filed a transfer for 8 people. Our hotel was first, we were there in 20 minutes. Back also everything is prompt - the transfer arrived on time, to the minute, the driver drove to the airport, helped to unload things.
Guide Natalia was on the next day of our arrival at the hotel, we did not take excursions, so I can not say about their cost, which is also not indicated in the company's booklet. We didn't see the guide again.
HOTEL. Radisson Blu Resort Sharjah 5 * was opened back in 1982. This is one of the oldest hotels in the emirate, located on Corniche st. , the area of old Sharjah, an area where the main inhabitants are Pakistanis and Hindus. Al Noor Grand Mosque is located next to the hotel building. The building of the hotel in the form of a trapezoid has 15 floors and about two dozen bungalows near the pool area. The lobby (letter L on the elevator button) is beautifully designed and it can be seen that this area is constantly being updated. On floor G there is a winter garden with a beautiful waterfall and fish. This is a feature of the hotel, because it looks amazing.
Registration took 10 minutes. Didn't take a deposit. We were settled on the 10th floor, in a non-smoking room.
Room - Standard Sea View, with an area of about 35 m2.
It has two separate beds (very comfortable with amazing linen), plasma TV with 62 channels (3 Russian), a table, two armchairs, a nightstand, several lamps, air conditioning, a kettle, tea / coffee sets, a safe and a mini-bar ( photo number is attached). Upon registration, two electronic room keys are issued. A little embarrassed that the closet is adjacent to the toilet room and shower room. It can be seen that the plumbing is new (but there were problems with the drain in the shower), and the furniture of the room needs to be updated (scratches and chips are visible on it). The window is dirty and won't open. Things take a long time to dry.
There were stains on the floor of the room. In the bathroom upon check-in, there were several bottles of shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, one towel for feet, hands and shower. There were no bathrobes, soap, slippers, adapter, toothbrushes, sponge/toothpick sets, blades, shower caps, which should be mandatory for five-star hotels.
In order for all this to be in the room or for cleaning it, you need to press the One Touch Service button on your phone. Everything was brought very quickly, and cleaning was done superficially all the days of our vacation, dust was present on furniture, lamps, TV.
Near the reception, on the right, you can take a map and a guide to Sharjah for free.
THE INTERNET. Wi-Fi works throughout the hotel, without a password, even on the beach. There are no complaints about his work.
NUTRITION. We had breakfasts, and we had lunch and dinner in the city or in the room. Breakfasts are served at Cafe at the Falls, the hotel's conservatory (photo attached), on floor G, from 6:30 am to 11:00 am. If you plan to sit near the waterfall, be careful, because the laminate near the tables warped a little from dampness.
For all days of rest, we must pay tribute to the chef, stability is his credo - all days the breakfast was the same, and these are: four types of juices (tomato, tropical, apple and orange), cuts of cucumbers, tomatoes and lettuce, three types of muesli , milk, two types of cold cuts of meat and cheese, boiled eggs, corn porridge, sausages, rice with vegetables, beans in red sauce, three types of sweet pastries, coffee, tea, watermelon, melon and fruit mix. They also make pancakes, waffles and scrambled eggs.
Diversity was sometimes introduced by dishes with pickles and carrots, canned peaches and a tube of lemonade. The choice seems to be as it is and you won’t stay hungry, but everything is monotonous. If you have lunch and dinner at the hotel without being tied to the tour, then its price will be respectively 132 and 145 dirhams per person. Also does the hotel have a 24 hour Chill Out Caf? with drinks, confectionery and light snacks, as well as Caf? Calypso in the pool area at the beach club.
We also noticed that the hotel was very sparsely occupied on our holiday days.
BEACH. The hotel on floor L has an entrance to the gym, Spa, Beach Club, which are open from 6.00 to 20.30. Many reviews wrote ambiguously about the sea and the plant near the beach. We were generally satisfied with the beach. During our vacation, the water in it was clear, pleasant, the entrance to it was coarse white sand. There were practically no people, silence. Fish swim, herons and large gulls, ducks walk along the beach. The beach is constantly cleaned, the beds are new. The sand was sifted, also free of debris.
There were a couple of jellyfish with long tentacles in the water. You can rent a boat for a boat trip, beach accessories. Only on the last day oil stains appeared in the sea, some turbidity of the water and garbage, which was immediately collected by beach workers. The pools were with nice chilled water, clean. It was very comfortable to freshen up in them.
Thanks to motion sensors, you can move through the continuous rain, stretch your arms and take selfies without getting wet. As soon as the visitor crosses the border of the installation, the water stops pouring over him, but continues to flow everywhere around him. The Rain Room is located in Al-Mahhara Park and is a dark underground chamber where falling streams of water are illuminated only by a spotlight. Visitors are allowed 6 people every 15 minutes. The ticket costs 25 dirhams. It can be ordered in advance through the site (but there were reviews that the money was withdrawn from the card, and the scans of the tickets did not come to the post office) or the way we did: on the way to the Museum of Islamic Civilization, we went to the Rain Room and bought two tickets the next day for 19.00. You must arrive 10 minutes before the start. I advise you to visit this object, enjoy the shower and take beautiful photos for memory. The object works until 21.00.
Also beautiful is the Sharjah Aquarium (closed on Sundays) and the nearby Maritime Museum.
Taxis can always be called when leaving the hotel.
CAFE, SHOPPING CENTERS. Near the Radisson Blu Resort Sharjah 5 * hotel there is a Kebab Bazar cafe, several points of sale of hamburgers and shawarma. There are many small cafes of Indo-Pakistani cuisine on the streets. I won’t say anything about the assortment and prices, we didn’t dare to eat there. Opposite the Rain Room is a large LuLu hypermarket (Address: Branch 7, Al Naba's). It has three floors - a food market, stationery, cosmetics, appliances and a clothing floor. Opposite LuLu is a large currency exchange. Also next to the hotel, in 20 minutes there is the Carrefour City Center Al Nasseria Shopping Center. All of them work until 00.00.
The hotel offers daily transfers to Sahara Center, Mega Mall, Sharjah City Center and Dubai Outlet Mall.
CONCLUSION. The Radisson Blu Resort Sharjah 5 * hotel, in principle, pleased with the beach, lobby interior design and convenient location to the historical sights of the city and shopping centers.
Its price matches the quality. Of the minuses, it can be noted: the hotel is located in the old district of Sharjah, near the industrial zone, the port, with a peculiar Pakistani and Indian flavor, surrounded by several mosques. The hotel requires restoration of the number of rooms, soundproofing of rooms and constant monitoring of the cleanliness of the beach line.
The hotel is good, the beach is clean. There are few people, because heat +43. Water temperature +38. Saved the pool. The food is excellent - seafood, fruits, pastries. Service is normal. There was my friend - the Filipino guys in the dining room sang happy byzday to the guitar, and they brought cake and fruit to the room, which is nice.
Twice a day there were free buses to shopping centers in Sharjah and Dubai, which is convenient for shopping.
We took 3 excursions: in jeeps on the dunes - excellent, in Abu Dhabi (Sheikh Zayed Mosque) - also very good and a boat trip along the Creek to Dubai Marina on an Arab Dow boat - this one is generally super.
I recommend the hotel, but immediately when booking and checking in, look at the room so that there is no view of the shipyard, but the feeling that you live in the port.
Near the hotel there is a beautiful mosque and the Sharjah embankment, you can only walk in the evening, because it is very hot.
The hotel itself has a beautiful garden in the lobby, which I really liked.
If you want a beach hotel in the UAE with a normal price / quality ratio / proximity to Dubai - you are here. We liked it and would definitely come back again.
The iron and ironing board were handy.
Unless the room does not have a balcony and the window does not open (such a design), but the linen was hung to dry in the bathroom on a special rope. They turned on the condo at the very minus +10, leaving for the beach and the underwear was completely tapped in a few hours. As explained somewhere - this is done in view of sandstorms. Another scary thing is "oil rigs" near the hotel itself and, as a result, spots on the water. It also didn't work out. This is a ship repair yard, not an oil field from a cat. for all the time unobtrusive noise was only once for all the time. No spots - the sea is clean, transparent. The beach is yours - you don’t shake so much for things. Thanks to the presence of fences protruding far towards the sea, the water on the beach is calm - you swim like in a pool. Not far from the coast there is a pontoon to dive in. In general, swimming for children is a pleasure. We swam in the pool a couple of times for show - what a joy it is to splash around in bleach when there is warm sea water nearby.
I advise you to take a full board, because. the city is a stone jungle not for pedestrians. Once we walked, it was uncomfortable. The hotel has excellent cuisine. Thursday seafood is the main highlight of the king fried prawns. Excellent desserts. Freshly squeezed orange juice in the morning. But fruit - only cutting. During lunch, dinner, water is always poured (and topped up). Hummus has been discovered.
Free buses run from the hotel: one to the mall (provided by the mall itself) and to Dubai (hotel).
Offtopic for those who want to visit Burj Khalifa (the tallest building in the world) and Burj Al Arab (Sail).
We bought tickets for Burj Khalifa via the Internet - it's cheaper - it cost three 10 thousand rubles.
At the hotel for half an hour we reached the Deira Mall and from there by metro to the Dubai Mall station, where the Burj Khalifa is located.
Take a one-day metro card for 22 dirhams for 1 person. - to any area by metro + bus.
Do not confuse the Dubai Mall and the Mall of Emirates, from where it takes half an hour to walk to the Souk (market) Madinat Jumeirah - view of the Sail. These are different (! ) shopping centers and, accordingly, metro stations. Moreover, the Mall of Emirates is located in the third metro zone from Deira Mall, which means that the ticket is more expensive.
By mistake, we took a ticket only to the second zone and from the Dubai Mall we thought to walk. But on the advice of passers-by (thank God) we took a taxi. The taxi driver is honest, showed on his phone that the desired point is 7 km away. And then I realized what we got wrong. A taxi to Madinat Jumeirah was 35 dirhams.
Upon our return, the turnstile at the exit did not let us in. We bought one card for 21 dirhams to exit.
