I don't know if you paid attention to the huge frame that appeared in Dubai last year, I was always wondering what it is and why it was built.
It turns out that this is a kind of new museum, inside there are unique interactive expositions, and at the top there is an amazing observation deck. A visit to the "Rama" will be a real journey through time for everyone who is interested in the past, present and future of Dubai.
The city's newest attraction, the Dubai Frame, began welcoming visitors in January 2018. The doors of this imposing building are open to guests from 10 am to 7 pm. A ticket for an adult costs 50 dirhams (14 dollars), for a child - 20 dirhams (6 dollars). It is conceived as a symbol that unites the past, present and future of the entire emirate: thanks to its unique architectural concept, visitors have the opportunity to take a real journey through time.
The Dubai Frame, which cost 250 million dirhams (about $69 million), consists of two 150-meter transparent glass towers, the tops of which are connected by a 93-meter bridge.
On the lower floors of the towers there is an interactive museum that tells about the formation of the city. A building boom in Dubai at various stages of its development "comes to life" thanks to 3D video projections, special effects, sounds and even specially designed smells.
And on the bridge - on the upper crossbar of the "Rama" - there is an observation deck Sky Deck. The entire city is visible from the observation deck: on one side, a panorama of the modern part of the metropolis opens - sparkling skyscrapers and Sheikh Zayed Highways, and on the other side, Deira, Umm Hurair and Karama districts, symbolizing old Dubai, are visible. There are also interactive screens with information about the buildings and sights of the city, as well as an overview of its architectural heritage and economic prospects.
But that's not all: the gallery of the future Dubai is located on the mezzanine of the frame. Again, with the help of interactive projections, viewers can now see the city as it will be in 50 years.
