Birthday in Dubai.
The story is purely so that those who are going on a trip have up-to-date information. And then I, having read the reviews, which are probably outdated, did not clearly imagine the prices in this city. So, we gathered to celebrate my friend in Dubai, that is, just fly there for a week and look at the city. We flew from Kyiv and the first bummer - our travel mates took a ticket through the TUI, and there it turned out to be 120 ye more expensive than ours, plus the most inconvenient flights for the flight (you arrive there early in the morning (you have to pay for the night) and fly out at night (and you are evicted during the day, and you sit like a fool in the lobby waiting for your bus). If possible, look and choose how you fly, because a day and a half without sleep is very tiring. Arrived early in the morning, the tour operator's car took to the hotel (you can go yourself , during the day, the metro goes from the airport, at night there are a lot of taxis. Speaking of taxis, it’s better to take an Uber or Carim, because those that are urban with counters are an order of magnitude more expensive). With mobile communications and i-net, they didn’t bathe, 40 UAH. per day and Kyivstar gives everything. Metro - take no-cards right away, one trip costs from 3 to 7.5 dirhams (there are three price zones), plus if you have less than 7.5 dirhams on your account, they won’t let you into the metro, so plan ahead. Bus on the same cards 3 dirhams. The card must be marked both at the entrance and at the exit, if the card did not work, and you entered (it happened), immediately go to the info and resolve the issue, because then you will not leave the metro and pay as a fare for without a card, this is 8 dirhams . It is better to go to the Burj Khalifa to meet the dawn, firstly, there are few people, and secondly, you will see the city at night and in the light of the sun (take tickets in advance). We took an excursion to Abu Dhabi to the mosque, we were taken all day and fed well for 55 ye per person. The mosque is very beautiful and rich (note that men are not allowed in the mosque in shorts and holey jeans, women are given a veil, it is better to wear your own headscarf). There is also a cool Ferrari park, but it takes all day and 80-150 ye for entrance and entertainment. A very beautiful area "Dubai Marina", there is a beach, and there is where to take a walk and you can go by water transport to another area of the city or go to the "palm tree" and back. We rode the monorail in the "Atlantis Palm" 25 dirhams per person only there, if you don't go to the water park or the aquarium, there is nothing to do there. "Miracle Garden" a bunch of flowers for 50 dirhams per person, you can really see everything in 20 minutes. "Global Village" is a thematic market, divided, as it were, by countries with appropriate decorations, in principle, you can safely walk around for half a day. The Mall of the Emirates is a good shopping center with prices for any wallet (you can even find T-shirts for 10 dirhams), there you can see penguins through the glass in Sky Dubai. "Dubai frame" (150 meter frame) entrance 50 dirhams, next to a good park. We hardly visited the gold market and the spice market, 10 minutes of annoying sellers grabbing the hand were enough for us to lose patience and leave. But if you like this, then there you can buy copies of expensive watches or a branded fake bag, well, anything in general. A very interesting fish market "waterfront market" is a modern building with areas for the market of fruits, spices, meat and fish. There is also a separate area where they clean fish and shrimp for you (there is an electronic queue), and nearby in a cafe they cook fish and shrimp for you. Shrimps cost from 25 to 80 dirhams / kg, fish from 30 and more, cleaning kg 6 dirhams, cooking 17 dirhams / kg, but to be honest, they cook for an amateur (a lot of different spices, but you want the taste of fish). At the fruit market we tried young coconuts and cane juice. The advantage of this market is modernity and cleanliness, there is also a water taxi, but we did not use it. When I read reviews about the fountains, I didn’t understand what was so interesting there, but it’s a bewitching sight, and the laser show is generally beautiful, so be sure to check it out.
