Meals correspond to a 2-star hotel. One fish dish, one meat dish. The kitchen has deteriorated. The names of the dishes are different, but everything is prepared from the same old hard meat, all fish dishes have the same taste. only apples, sometimes bananas, drained watermelons, green melons. There is no dessert, as sliced ready-made muffins and strange puddings (only eggs) are something incomprehensible.
For comparison, earlier in this hotel there were awesome main courses with a rich assortment (both lamb and turkey), chic own pastries, a sea of u200bu200bfruits (grapes, kiwi, pineapples). And the price was 30% LOWER. Yes, and there never was , food for tourists who do not live in the hotel. They bring 2-3 double-decker buses with Chinese citizens to the hotel restaurant for lunch !!!! ! There is no place for those living in the hotel to sit in the restaurant, the noise is like in a bird market. There is not enough food. the hotel management bends its back in front of them, the tenants don’t care about them.
Rooms-Plus, after repair. But there is such a roar from air conditioners (they are on the balcony) and
a general buzz from neighboring houses, which gives the impression that you live at the airport. Room cleaning is superficial, only a daily change of towels, the dust is not wiped at all.
Transfer to the Beach is a comedy, if it weren't so sad. In the evening, you need to sign up at the reception for the bus. In the morning he will receive a boarding pass at the reception. Then, according to the list (the clerk of the hotel stands at the door of the bus and with an important look notes your number in his journal and only then lets you into the bus) there is a long boarding on the bus, standing in 4.4 queues. PIONEER CAMP YES AND ONLY. Solid people, living in a 4 star hotel, must win their place on the bus !!!!!!!
The hotel staff is friendly, but the Chinese prefer.
Probably the manager of the hotel has changed, they say that there used to be an Englishman, and now an Indian, so the hotel has changed for the worse, and Dubai too.
Dubai has become dirtier, the prices are crazy, the goods are mostly Chinese. The metro is pompous, but very busy, the prices are high, taxis are cheaper and more comfortable. 15 years - and Dubai is becoming obsolete: the climate has become harsher, it has become cold in winter (November-December-velvet season), in March this year we generally froze. The population of Dubai and the number of tourists is growing, but the quality is deteriorating. Singing fountains, Dubai Mall , aquarium, metro_- this is not for people, mainly for pomposity and steepness. DUBAI IS NOT THE ONE ALREADY !!!!! !
So, transfer from the airport - no conflicts, only we were waiting for our names on the signs, and the tour operator was indicated, so we were a little nervous. There are a lot of Russian speakers at the airport, who are positive, they came to the rescue; )
Reception - friendly staff, many speak a little Russian. They didn’t give money - they gave a wonderful room with a view of the canal (creek view) (it’s better to take it, because souk view is a view of some trading and working quarter and parking. Problems with accommodation, etc. at the reception are solved with lightning speed. The door always opens a well-trained janitor in uniform
The room is obscenely clean, 3 telephones, good furniture, carpet, everything works properly. Bathroom - perfectly clean, plumbing rubbed to a shine, hair dryer, telephone, soap, shower gel, shampoo. As soon as something is over - they replace it with a new one.
Cleaning quality every day with a change of towels and every other day - bedding. Tipping - at the discretion. I didn’t leave the first two days, but the room was so licked even without them that it was a shame not to thank with 2-3 dirhams. Mini-bar and Internet - for a fee.
Food - for 7 days, repeat on the 5th or 6th day. Varied, tasty, satisfying. A lot of jokes from Chinese cuisine for breakfast, and indeed a lot of everything. The waiters rustle like bees - did not have time to finish eating - everything is removed, and with a smile, unobtrusively.
Beach - daily transfer to the beach (2 times a week - Jumeirah, the rest - Al Mamzar). Everything is on schedule, no delays. By the way, those who are more than 5 minutes late. they don’t wait, we barely had time on the first day, but a taxi is also relatively inexpensive - 23-30 dirhams on any of the beaches. By the way, before going to the beach they give out beach towels (which not even every 5-star hotel does), which are rented upon arrival, you just need to ask the doorman.
Location - autumn successfully on the shore of the bay in 5-10 minutes. walk to the spice market and the gold market one way, and the same the other way to the metro station, restaurants, lots of shops
The hotel is really 5 stars, but there is no beach. The guide from the tour operator, to my delight about the hotel, said that for the last 15 years the hotel has occupied high positions in the rating, and its owner is rooting for the hotel with all his heart, so everything is so good in it
Excursions were taken on Al Mamzar beach at the entrance - cheaper by $ 15 per person - the quality of the excursion is also nothing. Be sure to take a survey of Dubai - $ 25, but you will learn about all the sights, where you can then go separately on your own.
We ate, of course, not in a very fashionable Filipino restaurant Golden Fork. Dinner with lobsters, trout, fresh juices and soup - 170 dirhams. All seafood is fresh and the dishes are SOOO delicious.
