We have never been abroad, so we decided not to take the risk of taking the children, but to relax together on the sunny coast of the Persian Gulf in the fabulous country of the UEA. We arrived in the emirates in the evening, we had booked a Karama hotel. Only breakfast was included, the cost of a tour for two was 1344dollars for ten days.
We were brought to the hotel around 8 pm. A man with a Chinese face came running and took our bags! At the reception, the administrator of a Hindu appearance smiled sweetly at us.
And his first words shocked us - “no speak Russian” turns out there is no one in the hotel who speaks Russian, and I don’t know English at all, and my wife translates everything only with a dictionary! This news was not agreed with our tour operator.
With difficulty, having figured out which room we were offered, we went to the second floor in room 217. We were accompanied by a friendly Chinese man who carried our bags!

After the first cursory examination of the room, we did not like it!
It was smoky in it, the balcony overlooked the canopy of the hotel, the TV was large, but not plasma, there was no WI-FI.
Having walked in the immediate vicinity near the hotel, we got even more adjusted! Since we went towards the working Hindu quarter.
But these were impressions of only the first evening!
Having got acquainted closer with the city, the hotel and its surroundings, having talked with other Russian and Ukrainian tourists (you can meet them everywhere and you can see them at once), we realized that our hotel is a gift of fate because:
Pool (which was always free and clean)
Restaurant (lots of food, variety, lack of control, Russians and opportunity to watch foreigners)
Goodwill (lack of Russians)
Silence, cleanliness and peace (no Russians)
Large room, large 2x2 bed, 2 wicker chairs and a table, a balcony, a clean large bathroom, entertainment bars downstairs at the reception.
Room cleaning daily, shampoos, gels in unlimited quantities (lack of Russians).
To the free beach by taxi only 15derham (30 UAH)
There are cheap brand shops nearby.
Near the metro, supermarket (50 meters from the hotel)
Of the minuses, only the presence of a little noise from the bars until 3 am, but they did not interfere with us, since we had a busy program for the day until about 11-12 am!
We really enjoyed both Dubai itself and our stay at the Karama Hotel.
Having adapted to communicate with the local population (you need to learn English), we could communicate with a small amount of vocabulary and gestures, we could communicate on any topic!!!
The fear of misunderstanding disappeared and the opinion about the hotel changed dramatically.
During these ten days, we visited both Dubai and Goa, since most of the hotel visitors are Indians, although there are Englishmen, the food is mostly Hindu and the hotel is mostly Indians.
Now, if I go to Dubai, then only to the Karamo hotel.

You meet Russian-speaking tourists everywhere with the feeling that only ours are resting in Dubai. And Dubai will be renamed into big Vaselki.
The first trip abroad left me with a huge bunch of positive emotions and feelings! Not everyone can put aside such a pile.
It only becomes a shame for the State.
