The hotel is located near the Dubai Mall (about 10 dirhams by taxi), i. e. in a prestigious area of the city on Sheikh Zayed Street (also called skyscraper street). At first I wanted to book the Al Murooj Rotana 5 * hotel (http://www.otpusk.com/hotels/17930-Al_Murooj_Rotana. php) in the same area, but there were no vacancies. Initially, I didn’t want to go to the Deira area, where our tourists mainly settle, there are not many beach hotels in Dubai and they are mostly expensive, which is why I chose the area near Downtown Burj Dubai (a large number of good hotels in terms of price-quality ratio ”, there is always where to take a walk). If I had traveled at another time, I would probably have booked the Amwaj Rotana Jumeirah Beach Residence 5 * hotel (I am a fan of beach holidays), but on New Year's Eve they are incredibly bent with prices.
They settled quickly, and we had a regular deluxe booked, but because they were all busy, they gave us a premier suite and no extra charge. Upon check-in, a deposit of 500 dir is taken. per room (you can pay in $, but most likely they will return dirhams). The rate at the hotel is low (3.5), and we changed in banks at 3.62-3.65 (there is one bank next to the hotel, another a little further, but you need a passport to exchange). Therefore, upon check-in, we left our passport as a deposit (it was about one in the morning), and in the morning we changed money and made a deposit.
The room is simply chic and large - a kitchen (fully equipped: a washbasin, a refrigerator, a kettle, a stove, a microwave oven, a washing machine, dishes), a living room (a seating area with a coffee table, a work area with a desk, another table with chairs, which is completely nothing, because between the kitchen and the living room there is a beautiful dining table, a chest of drawers), a bedroom (a bed, a built-in wardrobe, a dressing table), 2 bathrooms (1 with a bath), with beautiful panoramic views of the Burj Khalifa and other skyscrapers, at 37 floor. In the living room and bedroom on the plasma, of the Russian channels, only RTR (if we turned it on, it was still only music). The only "but" is that there were 3 of us and there was 1 huge bed in the bedroom. However, since all three of us are pretty slender young ladies and no one wanted to sleep on the sofa either, we calmly settled on it, not hurting each other at all, especially since we really liked the room and didn’t want to change it.
There are bathrobes in the room and, apparently, there should have been slippers (seen by other vacationers), but we really managed without slippers. The bathroom has liquid soap, shampoo, shower gel (jars are different, but the substance is the same in appearance and smell, and not bad at that - I have very sensitive scalp and no problems in the form of dandruff happened), hair conditioner good body lotion. If something is over, there are not enough towels, bathrobes - call, do not be shy. Everything will be delivered quickly. An iron and ironing board are also provided upon request. Somehow the washbasin clogged, but we called only late in the evening - on the next day, while we were walking, everything was fixed.
The hotel has a spa - the girls went to massage (300 dir. ), I liked it. And I saved. There is a small pool on the roof, but it is too windy there. There is a gym for sports fans (I personally think that you should not strain yourself on vacation). Breakfast at the restaurant on the 43rd floor; There are other places to eat in the hotel, but we did not visit them.
It is forbidden to smoke in the hotel (so either near the entrance or on the roof - it will be much closer). ATTENTION: THERE IS NO ALCOHOL IN THE HOTEL!! ! Therefore, I recommend stocking up in a dutik, because in city restaurants they will not offer you anything stronger than tea. You can, of course, go to a restaurant / bar of another hotel, but it's expensive (for comparison - 38 dir. * 2.2 = 83.6 UAH for 0.5 liters of beer, i. e. with such prices you can’t go wild). So I repeat once again, if your budget is dear to you, regardless of whether or not the hotel sells alcohol, take care of it upon arrival at the duty free. Do not forget that drinking alcohol in public places and appearing drunk is also prohibited! In order to avoid conflicts with the police, make yourself a cocktail in a soft drink bottle of the right color and calmly eat forbidden fruits, naturally without overdoing it.
Naturally, we had breakfast at the hotel - not very varied, but quite decent. The menu is stable and something like this: muesli, dried fruits, yogurts, sausages, cheeses, cucumbers, tomatoes, herbs, potatoes, boiled eggs, steam omelet (or scrambled eggs), spicy stew, beans, sausages (fried sausage / meat), croissants, crackers , fruits (green apples are very cool, oranges, sometimes bananas, pineapples, watermelon, melon), tea / coffee, juices. Breakfast from 6 to 10. We went at 8.30, if later, then something may not be enough for you. They usually took fruit with them for a snack on the beach, bread and butter (for sandwiches with stored caviar), croissants, and no one was buzzing about this. Tea, coffee and sugar are provided in the room. So that we would not forget to replenish our supplies, we hid the rest (otherwise we could simply arrange 3 tea bags beautifully). Sugar also does not interfere with taking in reserve in the dining room. Especially delicious mint tea with ice and lemon.
We dined where necessary (on the beach, in the mall), i. e. in all sorts of hangouts. There are a lot of cafes here, you definitely won’t stay hungry, but the more prestigious the area, the more expensive it will cost you (for us, snacks cost about 30 dir. per person, while in Deira it will cost 2 times cheaper). We dined mostly near the hotel in a Lebanese restaurant - it's just a song! In general, Lebanese cuisine is very popular among tourists, and it’s understandable why - you definitely won’t find so many different sea delicacies for quite sane money here! On average, a dinner for three cost us 300 dir.
Elevators in hotels are fast. Only during and after breakfast, when people are moving with might and main, you have to wait. You order the floor on the board and they tell you which elevator you need to go to. Wait for yours, do not jump into another)))
There is no shop near the hotel (maybe we didn't see it). We bought a couple of times in a 24-hour supermarket on the way to Dubai Mall (located at the end of the Al Murooj Rotana complex).
There is a transfer to the paid beach (5dir. entrance). Everything else can be reached by taxi.
In general, the hotel pleased. The hotel is new, so there is nothing shabby, broken - everything is beautiful and in good order. Everywhere is clean. All without frills, but with taste. The staff is friendly. The rooms are chic. I highly recommend it to people who are not sitting still (because this is still a business hotel and there is nothing special to do), but who appreciate comfort!! !

We flew to Dubai from +2 degrees in Ukraine to +29 in the UAE. At the same time, it was overcast and raining, all the formalities were quickly completed, there was no retinal scan, and after an hour and a half we were already at the hotel (IBEROTEL EMIRATES GRAND HOTEL). The room is very good, with a kitchen. But we only spent the night at the hotel, there is something to do in Dubai: we bought a tour on the Big Bus tour and traveled around everything we planned; visited the Aquarium in the Dubai Mall, went to the Jumeirah park / beach, in short, the days passed unnoticed and interesting.
As for the rest in Fujairah: an ordinary beach hotel, a warm ocean, quite calm (we did not see oil). Calm measured rest: a good beach, decent food, silence and birdsong. The hotel has many families with children of the British, Russians and Arabs. In addition to the coastline, there is nowhere to go; nothing remarkable was found in Fujairah either.
In general, we are satisfied with the rest, we will be happy to come to Dubai again.
