Rested in Dubai 17.11 - 22.11. 2013 at Akas-Inn Hotel Apartments ( http://www.akasinn.com/). The criteria for choosing a hotel were proximity to the metro, which is within walking distance, the proximity of the Mall of the Emirates and the availability of a kitchen in the room. As well as the relative proximity to the new airport (DWC) where we flew in and out, respectively.
I made a hotel reservation through Booking. com, paid for it in cash on the spot. Although we took the smallest room (studio), there is enough space in it. The room is equipped with a kitchen with all necessary equipment. We ordered breakfast at the hotel, although I advise you to abandon such an idea and go to eat in the mall. The nearest way to the mall is to exit the hotel, turn left, go one block and cross the road, get into the parking lot and keep to the left side of the parking lot and after 100 meters through the entrance.
In principle, the hotel has everything you need, but there was no hair dryer in the room, maybe you should have asked at the reception, but it was not critical for me (the hair is short). But the most unpleasant moment is the lack of hot water, there was no all week.

The hotel is surrounded by a road on three sides, so the rooms are quite noisy.
There is free internet access.
Some hotel booking sites give this hotel a 4* rating, I wouldn't do that. My rating is 3+
In the city, we went to the Dubai Mall, to the observation deck on the 124th floor of Burj Khalifa, to the Dubai Fountains, on the monorail to the palm tree to Atlantis, Al Mamzar Beach Park, Madinat Jumeirah Souk, Jumeirah Open Beach, Creek Park. Well, our main goal was the Dubai Air Show.
If you want to get to the At the top observation deck, then take tickets in advance via the Internet ( http://www. burjkhalifa. ae/en/), because it is unrealistic to buy tickets for today and tomorrow, and they cost several times more expensive.
I advise you to use the metro - convenient, comfortable, fast, not very expensive. What class of carriage - gold or ordinary, you choose, we traveled in gold.
The weather during our stay was hot for several days, the water was warm, but for two days it was raining, half the streets were flooded.
