Kyiv, October 2012 - the weather is such that it is damp, gray and dull. I really wanted to heat, the sun, the sea. The cost of rest in the Ramada hotel in Ajman is simply wonderful, so without hesitation, we decide to go to the United Arab Emirates.
The tour operator "Tez Tour", the airline "Wind Rose" - everything is fine at all stages. The flight takes 5 hours. Arrival at Dubai airport. I had to stand in line for a bit at passport control (the airport is huge - a lot of people, and it also takes time to scan the retina). At the exit from the airport there is duty free (who is interested in buying alcohol). I would also like to draw your attention to the fact that tourists need to carefully collect a first-aid kit with them, not all medicines are allowed to be imported into the Emirates (our first-aid kit was somehow not particularly checked, so I can’t answer how seriously everything is).
Now about the Ramada. This is a city hotel, located in the emirate of Ajman (compared to Dubai, of course Ajman is more modest). Our room was on the 15th floor, 2-room (but, if I'm not mistaken, there are no 1-room rooms in the hotel at all). I really liked the room, it has everything you need. Part of the living room is separated into a kitchen: a microwave oven, a kettle, water (1 liter), coffee, sugar, tea. The bathroom has shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, body cream. In the bedroom there is an iron and ironing board. Wi-fi in the room, in the hotel lobby - there are several computers for common use.

The hotel is clean, comfortable, the staff is very friendly. If you walk along the reception desk to the exit, which is located opposite the main entrance to the hotel, and go outside, you will see the entrance to the shopping center (there is a store on the ground floor where you can buy food (we always bought very tasty juices (especially delicious - mango, guava, strawberry), they took cookies for the child, they liked it - the manufacturer Thailand - rice cookies with seaweed, wonderful chocolates - the manufacturer of the Emirates - they sell by weight, they also bought spices home, also by weight).
Restaurant on the second floor. We took food HB and never regretted it. We had a choice: lunch or dinner. The food is excellent, everything is very tasty, especially the sweet table. Yes, indeed, there are spicy dishes, but we never left the restaurant hungry, despite the fact that we had a 6-year-old child with us.
The hotel has a swimming pool and it is open until 23.00. In the evening, before going to bed, we visited the sauna and swimming pool.
The beach is very far from the hotel. Free hotel buses run to the beach and back, according to the schedule. If there are not enough seats in the first bus, don't worry, they will serve the second one, if there are not enough seats in it, they will send you by taxi at the expense of the hotel. We were not very attached to the schedule, but took a taxi on our own (in the Emirates it is a pleasure, both in terms of cost and level of service). Taxi in the Emirates is an inexpensive and convenient form of transport. Some reviews wrote that the cost of the trip depends on the color of the taxi, I personally did not notice any difference.
As for the beach. The first two days in the morning it was somehow bad with places, but then they increased the number of sun loungers and it became normal. The water is very warm, shallow, sandy, throws a lot of beautiful shells ashore (you won’t wish it better with children). Very beautiful sunset on the beach.
Free buses from the hotel also go to Dubai (Dubai Mall, Deira City), to the market in Sharjah (the famous "engines") and to local shopping centers.

If you want to climb the Burj Khalifa, try to book tickets in advance - it will be much cheaper. Burj Khalifa, the singing fountains are located next to the Dubai Mall, and the Aquarium in the Dubai Mall, so it is very convenient to use the hotel transfer. Show of singing fountains in the evening, if I'm not mistaken, every 30 minutes. With a child, we chose to visit the Aquarium and Zoo in Dubai Mall (I didn’t even think that we would spend about 4 hours there). We took a ticket with a boat ride (the child liked it). Please note that, depending on the ticket price, you have the opportunity to choose a souvenir for a certain amount in the Aquarium's souvenir shop.
Now about the subway. We took a ticket to the first carriage, for the sake of the child, so that everything could be clearly seen (the carriage seems to be called Gold and it costs a little more). The son was delighted with the fact that the subway without a driver, raised above the rest of the transport and following between interesting buildings. We also took the metro to the old city, walked through small shops with souvenirs and spices from India, Pakistan, Iran (in these streets there is some other world and a completely different Dubai). We visited the Al-Fahidi Old Fort, also known as the Dubai Museum. Both my son and we are delighted with the museum. The cost of tickets is symbolic, a few dirhams.
We went to Sharjah to the market "trains", bought souvenirs, but, the second time, I would have regretted the time for it.
In Ajman, we went to local shopping centers (nothing special), and also visited the fish market (large selection of fresh fish, but the conditions in which it is cleaned are horrifying). At the fish market, you can buy fish and give it to the kitchen to be cooked for you. Some vacationers brought fresh fish to the hotel and the hotel chef cooked it (I don’t know the cost of the service).
I really liked my vacation in the Emirates, I would return to the hotel, I didn’t want to leave.
If I have the opportunity, I would like to visit this country again. So I tell her not to say goodbye, but goodbye.
