Small, cozy hotel, ideal place for a family holiday. The lift to the slope is a 5-minute walk, the area is very picturesque, on the days of our vacation the weather turned out to be wonderful, we rode for our pleasure. For the first time, a teenage child was taken to the resort, he is delighted with both skiing and local entertainment.

For the first time, a teenage child was taken to the resort, he is delighted with both skiing and local entertainment. The hotel itself has billiards and a small bar, not far from the hotel there are several bars with live music and delicious food.
The rooms are quite spacious, ours had a small balcony with a stunning view of the mountains. Each room has a safe, mini-bar, TV, ski storage in the hall, on the 1st floor (storage is essentially free, but a deposit of 20 euros is taken for the key). Also, I was pleased with the presence of a jacuzzi and a sauna in the hotel, with free entrance.

We rested in March 2012. Good location, 100 meters to the ski lifts from the hotel's ski storage. Quite a varied menu. Stop next to the hotel. Of the minuses: noisy at night, which, in principle, does not interfere with sleep.

We rested in Himalaya Soldeu 4 * on winter holidays. I liked it very much! Main pluses: 50 m to the ski lift; lockers on the -1 floor (deposit 20 euros); friendly hotel staff, rooms were booked by last name, not by availability; decent food: buffet for breakfast and dinner (drinks for dinner for a fee), everything is fresh and tasty; cozy lounge with a fireplace on the ground floor (Wi-Fi only in the lobby).

Notes: didn't really like the jacuzzi (small with cool water) and sauna (40'C). We were in peak season and there were a lot of people; bar next door (noisy at night). The overall impression is very positive! If we go to Andorra again, then perhaps to the same hotel. I also really liked the place for skiing - Soldeu. Lots of different trails for both beginners and pros. In general, about the resort: Andorra la Vella is the center, many hotels, restaurants, shops, a thermal complex (wonderful !!! ), go to the mountains by bus; there are no mountains in Encamp, by funicular (for 12 people) go 40 minutes to the peak; in El Tartre, near the funicular, there is a huge parking lot for cars (who lives in a hotel nearby to go to the funicular is no longer 50 m, but much more); in Pas de la Cassa there are very steep hills, and in Sorldeu there are many hotels near the ski lift (there is no parking) and a wide variety of mountains.

In March 2008 my husband and two children went skiing in Andorra. We stopped at the Himalayas Hotel in the village of Soldeu. I liked the hotel with a good varied cuisine with friendly and nimble staff, a fairly large hall with a fireplace where you can sit in the evening and drink beer. There is a billiards (American), 3 Internet cafes, a children's room (our dummies - one is 14, and the other 8 - spent a lot of time there after dinner), a bathhouse with two bathtubs, a jacuzzi and a gym.

Everything worked : ). The best thing about this hotel was that it was 50 meters from the gondola lift. But the presence of a youth bar on the back side was annoying and very strong. Young people at 2.3, 4 in the morning, leaving the bar, continued to yell and have fun, which absolutely did not contribute to healthy sleep.
We like the gurney in Andorra - Grandvalera (we are there for the second time). A wide variety of tracks - for every taste, the presence of modern lifts, well-developed tracks, a sufficient number of cafes (the only inconvenience is that everyone has the same menu). Lots of beautiful views. By the way, there was decent snow in March, though it fell just on the day of our arrival.
