There is entertainment for both children and adults. The view from the window in the morning is amazing, we got up early to go to the sea before the heat - fortunately close, ten minutes with the children. The water is very clean, the beaches too, umbrellas, sunbeds are free. If you want to have a family vacation on a budget, go, you won't regret it.

In Abkhazia, I rested in the boarding house "Caucasus" - two stars, but I really liked the staff, friendly, helpful! They feed well! But just buy Standard rooms (comfort and shower in the room) This year they changed the furniture, made repairs, installed air conditioners and TVs! So you will have a rest with conveniences.

The first time we rested in July 2013, we lived on the first floor, I liked everything very much (one minus in two weeks they never changed bed linen). The second time - in July 2014. The second time - in July 2014. We lived on the third floor, the room is terrible (although for some reason the price is more expensive than the one we had on the first floor). The bedside tables and the table are falling apart, the closet is built into the wall and it stinks that even all the things were left in the suitcases. It was scary to hang them in such a closet.
the room was cleaned only twice in two weeks - the first time when we arrived and the maid quit, the second time - before our departure, when they hired a new maid
the bed was never changed.
Either mice or rats ran around the room at night (they looked like rats in size) and did not let me sleep at night
Every day they turned off the electricity and water, and it was very annoying.
With food, too, something is not very good, compared to last year, the food is somehow monotonous
Homeless dogs constantly ran around the boarding house and the beach.
No entertainment, I had to entertain myself, it's good that they took a laptop with downloaded films, otherwise they would have died of boredom. In our time, now in all places of rest there has long been Wi-Fi (at least paid), but here is a dead zone, no civilization
The only pluses of the rest are the clean sea, beautiful nature.

The administration of the boarding house is trying its best to do this.

A varied, high-calorie, deliciously prepared buffet creates an atmosphere of peace of mind and enjoyment. Well, life... ? Life will improve. The administration of the boarding house is trying its best to do this. There will be carpets and rugs in the corridors and in each room. There will be refrigerators, TVs, too, the territory is being improved. The twenty-year blockade left a negative imprint on the economy of Abkhazia. The famous health resorts of our common former country were in the most difficult condition. Time is changing for the better, the independent republic is reviving, gaining strength, the created external and internal conditions are working for it. Its main strength is the kind, hospitable, respectful, affable people. Good to you, well-being and prosperity of Abkhazia!

In the system of recreation for people traveling to Abkhazia, not everything is good. The bottleneck in the truest sense of the word is the border and its passage. After many hours of standing in line under the pouring sun, people get nervous, become irritable, and say a lot of unflattering words about politicians. An involuntary question arises: Who needs it? Only not for the peoples of Abkhazia and Russia. And yet, walking along the streets of Gagra, Pitsunda, you can see with the naked eye that the resort base of the republic is not used to its full potential. Many Russians go on vacation to Turkey, Egypt, replenishing the budget of these countries. What for ? Everything is close here. The leaders of Russia and Abkhazia need to think about this and make the resort base more attractive and accessible to the common people.

Of the pluses - the beautiful sea (and close), a wonderful cafe "park" in a 5-minute walk with wonderful live music and meager prices.
In general, the hotel rested mainly pensioners and families with very young children.
The buffet consisted of 2 soups, 2 side dishes, 3 salads - and everything for children and ulcers - tasty, but not memorable (mashed potatoes, rice, var. Pasta) - a good school canteen. A broken bed in the room completed all of the above (went with my mother - we had to sleep together)).
